Angela Bassett damn she's was beautiful then and still aging like a fine wine. The character she's portraying in this movies is a woman most men seek for in 2024 but they are rare treasures that the eyes can't see. Only your heart and soul can unlock the treasure to be. I don't have a clue what I've just typed but God bless you and much love ❤
I'd never seen this before, and right now I have fallen in love with Angela all over again! Hearing her speak South African vernacular like this! 🙌🏽😍🔥 the accent 😃 she sounds just like how black woman used to speak English during the apartheid years. Now I understand why her Xhosa was so good in Black Panther. 🇿🇦🇿🇦
you know what I don't get it is, y'all applaud these American actresses for doing these bad fake accents but when MS CYNTHIA ERIVO does HARRIET, MS CELIE, ARETHA y'all talk shyt and get yall panties and boxers in a bunch
I'm a Shakespeare woman, I grew up reading books that's what this movie reminds me. I'll play at the theater. A lot of people don't know what it's like to go and watch a live play at the theater. It's a different feeling from a movie and this movie was so awesome. I can't describe it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Angela Bassett Danny Glover awesome awesome awesome😊
Watching for the first 3 minutes no one said a word in the movie, it increased my curiosity to know what’s next. Just to find out the movie is a MUST WATCH❤. Our black queen did something again💪🏿
Angela is that Boss actor of All time and With Mr.Glover two of the best to ever performed together Kudo: To Basset & Mr.Glover, Keep doing good Thang 👍👍👍
@Angela Basette Scenes, I love me some (Angela & Danny) two awesome Hollywood Legends. I never seen this movoe before & all of The amazing Movies (Angela) has done & Plus TV Series, she doesn't get recognized. Thanks for this upload, Great weekend of movies watching on my list of movies of classic & to Now New Movie Releases. ❤️💯🔥
I used one of Furgard’s novels Tsotsi for my thesis re the plight of African women and girls, racial inequalities, discrimination and segregation of Africans in South Africa and other colonised African countries. It’s interesting in the movie to have an American accent trying to imitate a middle aged/rural African woman accent. And yet there were thousands of exiled actors, musicians living in America during the filming of this movie.
Love is often turbulent. It can be ugly, painful, unclear. Most will not endure the unexpected. Others, this is all they have, making it difficult to forego. Warriors in love will fight till the death of it. Through ups and downs, hard times and suffering, they push through together and even against each other, but always in the same direction. Warriors of love know that, although it becomes stained or tarnished, true love never dies. (DV is the obvious element in this film and IT IS NEVER OK! If you can, don't allow the depiction of DV in this film to rob you of the powerful meanings and messages offered here.)

South Africa is still in a struggle… color caste system… stratified economic system-poverty, patriarchal society that dehumanizes all it touches. I have heard of this movie but seeing it now highlights the past and the problems that are still with us and not just in South Africa.
