I'm not familiar with Vancouver. However, I am intrigued by what you showed us, Josh. WOW, I love your "travelogs". They provide us with so many, first-hand, recommended destinations, both visually and orally. Noone does it better. 🏡🙏🏻🛣🚙🎊
My parents met at an event in Vancouver BC. There is a super cute pic of my mom with her mini buffant hair style and sweet little 1960 suit standing in front of those totem poles in Stanley park. Our family spent many vacations in Vancouver so Stanley park is a very fond memory for me. Thanks for your excellent recommendations. I concur.
Vancouver is an awesome city to visit. A true international city. It's been 15+ years since I was there. I remember wanting to live there, but realized it was too expensive then. I can only imagine the cost now. I need to go back soon. Stanley Park was my favorite spot in the city!
I have long felt that Stanley Park is as good of an urban park as can be found anywhere in the world. Thanks for "taking me back" there. There is so much to do that we once spent two days exploring it. We enjoyed a wagon ride around it and particularly like the Rose Gardens too.
As a former Vancouverite I must recommend exploring the actual rainforest in the park. Massive red cedars and Douglas firs, moss all over, it can feel like a Jurassic experience sort of. My favourite memory though is from when I was a little kid and they still had killer whales in the aquarium. They would jump and splash the spectators. Of course they're far better off in the wild and you can easily see them there on the many boat tours... And if you're looking for a challenging hike, try Grouse Grind, which means you climb Grouse Mountain up a steep trail featuring about a million stairs. But that's on the north shore, not Stanley Park.
the 11th thing had to be eat ketchup chips... still don't know why they don't sell this stuff in US... that rock reminds me of the one in pebble beach area.
