😮 it makes sense if that will run fluid through the system. I’m just not a fan of working on hot engines under jacked up vehicles. Thanks for your tip.
@@robdude1969 not a fan well we don’t have a transmission dipstick if you don’t start the car an have someone row it the Gear select your only running maybe 2/4th of the fluid you should
This repair is most likely the transmission pump. Pump cost is about $1,000 new and not difficult to change yourself BUT you'll also need a BMW computer/software program that allows you to depressurize the system prior to changing the pump and bleed the system afterwards. I would expect a good INDY should be able to do the job for $3-500 labor.

Check air intake boot and Maf sensor readings maf sensorcan cause transmission to stay on 1 gear on auto mode if your car is 2004 to 2006

Sorry, I don't know anything about the manual system. Sounds like the clutch reservoir needs to be topped off or bled then topped off.
I didn't know that the E46 330i had SMG. I thought it was only available on the M3.
Yup, and it’s a little different than the M3 with very tech little info on it.
has the M3 the same reservoir down on the gearbox?
