Such an awesome looking scooter!! They have really done well by the stem locking mechanism and the ability to fold and hook the stem . Really makes me want one !! The scooter manufacturers have really stepped it up this year .
I'm a user of all Thunders, 1-2-3, rode 10000km+ overall. I like them, especially the Dualtron! I've had a Dualtron 3 and Victor. However, I really need to emphasize that placing the charging ports on the deck is a super stupid decision, OMG. This is a deal-breaker for me. The major problem is that water can easily get inside since they are facing up. Another significant issue is that they will always be open due to the touch of legs while driving. I'm sharing this from my experience and actual tests.

We've sold and serviced regularly about 40 Storms in the last 3 years, no issues with charging ports position in my experience.
Get some dielectric grease and pack some into the ports that will keep the water out and prevent corrosion
I'm one of very few driving the new Dualtron Storm Limited with the new Ey4, the new stem, the better motors and better controller and very important the IPX5 rating in Zurich (Switzerland). This one is not comparable to the older versions of the Dualtron Storm Limited and much better in every aspect. What I do not understand is that so many say that the wheel diameter is 12 Inch. This is completely wrong, even if you see it written on a paper or a manual. I did measure the tire size myself on my Dualtron Storm Limited and it is indeed 10.6 Inch and not 12 Inch. Furthermore on the tire you can clearly read "90/65-6.5". If you google that you will get 270 Millimeters or 10.6 Inch as a result. If you use this e-scooter with the Dualtron App you can find out the correct factory setting of the wheel diameter yourself pretty easily. Give in 11 Inch in the wheel diameter setting of the app. Then limit the speed to 25Km/h with the System Speed Limiter in the app. Then drive at full throttle and read the number on the Ey4 display. If the number is equal to your limit of 25Km/h then you have the correct factory setting, which is 11 Inch. If you see 27/28Km/h on your display, you have set the wrong wheel diameter in the app (12 Inch). Btw. The correct setting would be 10.6 Inch, but you can only choose between 11 Inch and 10 Inch. So if you use 11 Inch your speed will still be about 5% too high.
You own upgraded Dualtron Storm Limited in Zurich, featuring the Ey4, improved stem, motors, controller, and IPX5 rating. Contrary to common belief and manuals, its wheel diameter is 10.6 inches, not 12, verified by your measurements and tire markings ("90/65-6.5"). Using the Dualtron App, you can check this: setting the wheel diameter to 11 inches and limiting speed to 25Km/h, the Ey4 display should match this speed if correctly set. The ideal setting is 10.6 inches, but the app only allows 11 or 10 inches, slightly affecting speed accuracy.

How this model got a different stem lock mechanism compared to the others? I always preferred this type compared to the others that make squeaky noises, does this one? That’s what been holding me back from buying 😭

This Dualtron model from Minimotors features the newest folding system, which is sturdier and nearly five times thicker than the previous two generations, resulting in less noise.

@@YoungWise2011 Controllers are moving together with the rear suspension arms and wheel. The movement is not significant. This scooter is designed for very high speed riding. Less bumpy, more smooth. Top Speed is mentioned at 60 MPH , over 100 km/h. But the real world results may vary according to at least 10 variables : rider weight, battery charge level, road, weather, tyre pressure, tyre condition , style of riding, rider experience, inclination, dry or wet.

У меня такой самокат, минусы - подвеска слишком твердая, не отключаемый передний привод, из за пробуксовки быстро старается передняя покрышка , хватило погонять буквально на месяц и уже пора менять, самое не приятное это то, что РУКИ КРАСЯТСЯ В ЧЕРНЫЙ ЦВЕТ ОТ РУЧЕК НА РУЛЕ, на такой самокат не могли найти материал по лучше (резину) … обидно за это, придется менять фирменные ручки дуалтрон на что то другое
