    Good video, I was able to follow it start to finish and got my MacBook working no issues. Honestly the hardest part (apart from the tiny screws) was getting the bottom back on at the end!

      Does replacing the screen gives you warning notifications? Does TrueTone still work ? Like in an iphone when replacing battery it says "the battery is not genuine ..."

    • @bonniemister
      @bonniemister 6 місяців тому

      @@LeRatVisseur From what I understand and was told by apple is if you buy an OEM screen from them *ONLY* then once you have replaced your screen they will give you help to do the system recalibration so you can have True Tone again. If you do not buy directly from Apple than there is no way for you to get it recalibrated.

      @@bonniemister okay thanks ! I will try to ask an Apple Store if they can sell me a screen without paying for the replacement service (so cheaper than screen + replacement cost), but the price might still be expensive af

      @@LeRatVisseur I bought one earlier for roughly 560 with shipping but you get 88 dollars back when you return the busted one for repair so definitely not cheap but its no 800 either you know?

    Great tutorial, thanks!! Quick question, is it necessary to buy both adjustable torque driver (10-34 Ncm and 0,3-1,2 Nm) indicated in the manual, or is enough to buy the Torx Plus 3 IP and Torx T8 if I already have an standard adjustable driver (Bosch Go wireless driver)??? what is cheapest but still reliable alternative to get the tools required to do the repair?

      You should only use hand tools for a repair like this, that's why we recommend our hand tools for repairs.

    does the new screen need to be "serialised" in order to function? You didnt turn it on so I'm not sure your replacement works...

      The screen will work regardless but if you need your True Tone to work you can use our repair service where we replace just the LCD panel. www.joesge.com/products/apple-macbook-pro-13-3-a2338-2020-lcd-screen-assembly-repair-mail-in-service
