well. I feel I have finally heard the Scherzi for the first time.
The third moved me to tears. the two over two runs were unlike any I have ever heard : Mitchell, Rubenstein, and all others pale by comparison.
his phrasing is from the brow of Chopin himself. Every one executed with the original intent if not the written one. it is beyond masterful. It is divine.

Not unitll I fail in love with Chopin's piano that I realize Li Yun Di is such a geneise. I feel ashamed that the market nowadays would not recognize poetic emotion in his piaon piece. Instead, some other emotions are easier to be expressed and accepted. It is gonna be harder to hear his performance like this now. World is changing every second, only classical remains classical!

Chopin is undeniably one of the best composers of all time - There's no mistaking it. One thing that you will notice about Chopin is that he'll never write two sections exactly alike. He himself was a perfectionist and that is why.
I don't know whether or not that was a good or bad thing in these situations. I mean, his music was beautiful but I'm not so sure that he himself looked at like that.
    Marvelous performance Yundi.

According to my humbl ear, he made a totally wrong second accord before launching into the wild chase of this first scherzo.
I most like the middle slow cantabile gem of ech of the 4 scherzi.
What a beautiful chopinesque, yet profound interpretation!

Lang Lang has cleverly constructed his career on his personality and good luck to him but if you are looking for more meaningful, deep performances and more musical and poetic ones look no further than Yundi Li and pianists of this calibre. Lang Lang has his place in this piano world of course and deserves everything that comes his way but if you are looking for poetry and the spiritual meaning of music there are other pianists far more in tune with that style of playing

@@mingouczjcz3800 This is ridiculous. I don't understand what kind of cultural environment would call destroying an artist's whole reputation and banning him from public performing as trying to save him.

Merci encore !
