I’m a teacher and I was exhausted and burnt out before the shutdown. I am seeing this situation as a way to refocus on the things that matter: my faith, my family and friends and my health. These are scary times, but my faith in God keeps me strong. Stay blessed and be well Page fam. We appreciate you❤️
My So-Called Teacher Life Here in Europe we are teaching from home (high school) Lot of emails from students everyday and handling my kids at the same time. I find it stressful because I hate office work. I have mountains to grade too.
@@surlespasdondine Sending love and prayers to you in Europe! These are hard times right now and I feel lucky to have had this last week off for Spring Break and then off again for a few more weeks. As a Behavioural Specialist, a lot of my work involves handling difficult students at school, but I will be helping friends with their work as we move towards online instruction. Stay strong friend! You are wonderful and you will make it through this!! :)
As a teacher, I think one of the BEST things you can do with your kids is cook with them. There is so much incidental learning that happens when you cook! They can read the recipe, learn how to measure. Baking in particular is great for teaching fractions - ask them to try doubling a baking recipe! You're doing a fantastic job!
Love the block system. I divided the kid's learning time--girls in the morning, boys in the afternoon--and it's been so peaceful around the home. It gives me time to dedicate the amount of attention to each child and not feel so overwhelmed. School Educators are awesome!
JORDAN.... MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE JUST WATCHING THIS VIDEO AND AS SOON AS YOU STARTED WITH YOU TIPS FOR THE MORING ABOUT GETTING DRESSED (FEELING LIKE A HUMAN)... MAKING YOUR BED...AND WENT ON TO ABOUT READING A SCRIPTURE AND MEDITATE.... SHE JUST GOT UP HER CHAIR, GAVE ME A HUG AND SAID "SHES JUST LIKE US" --WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THESE AWESOME VIDEOS.
We're starting all of our school days with "chapel" (songs, Bible stories, and prayer s) and it starts us off being grateful and thankful. My kids pray for someone they love and thank God for something new every morning
An Iris bloomed in my garden yesterday, it reminded me that Heavenly Father will calm the storm. Scripture study and Come Follow Me study guides along with prayer will make us stronger. Beautiful Family...love from Navajo Nation
Maroxa Mawson We were instructed to do so, neither the teachers nor the students are technically on break even though the schools are closed. It's important!
Spending lots of time in the scriptures. We did a Book of Mormon Marathon last week. We listened to the whole thing in 7 days! (5 kids, 11&under). What an amazing experience!Getting prepped for General Conference! We are also learning life skills, cooking, sewing etc. Online school starts tomorrow for us.
We’re empty nesters, so we FaceTime with our kids and grandkids. My husband teaches JROTC and since our schools are closed, he’s doing virtual lessons with them. I’ve posted some fun crafts for kids on my Facebook page, and an idea to write letters to grandparents, shut ins, the elderly who are feeling extra lonely right now. I’m also taking advantage with hubby home to go through and inventory all of our food storage, using your inventory sheets. I’m shocked how many cans are expired!!! Our town just issued a mandatory 24/7 stay home, so hoping people will stay home! Virus cases are doubling daily... hoping this will help. Our son is a dr on the front lines of this... he’s tired!
Staying inside and doing "almost nothing" makes us feel like prisoners, lowers the energy and brings depression. We had few rainy days and this morning i just realized that. So as soon as i saw the sun shining up, we took the kids, got outside and started together a spring-clean of the yard! I felt more alive when we got back in! Jordan, i'm thinking of you every morning when i feel too lazy to get dressed... then, i motivate myself, i change my pj and i don't just feel i did something, but i really start to feel like doing all the other chores... so, change and clean-up , then the rest comes by itself! Congrats on your twins and thank you for sharing your video with us!
I'm focusing on Bible plans with hubby and verse of the day in my mornings, organized and cleaned the house which feels great, reading, and exercising more. ♥️ I completely agree with getting dressed and ready each morning. Helps set the day. Thank you for your tips. I have no idea how you just had twins, work, vlog, cook and teach. You're amazing!
I do normally work from home plus just had a baby so this situation of being stuck at home is so normal to me. But the understanding that this is an in definite quarantine and loss of work for so many, that’s what’s make it weird. For me knowing that God knows what he is doing is super comforting haha
Every time I watch your videos, Jordan I am at peace. Not only are you incredibly organized, you are productive and your children are beautiful, intelligent and hardworking. I’m a single mom of one and I am always inspired by you. Since I discovered you I say to myself “if Jordan can do it, so can I.” Since I have been home, I have been doing a lot of yoga “cosmic kids yoga” on UA-cam is great for introducing little ones to yoga (my son is 3, almost 4 in May) we have been doing a lot of art projects too. Painting, repurposing recyclables, playing with chalk. I make sure to get us outside throughout the day and keep in touch with family on the phone and vid chat. It can be lonely these days!!
Jordan: I just had twins, but that didn’t phase me, I’m already bouncing back doing my daily activities and taking great care of my kids. Me: had Irish twins and barely had the energy for anything. You are a super mom!
She's tired. She puts make up on and smiles but don't most of us do that to go to the grocery store or work in general? These videos are her work. Don't compare yourself to her. To everyone else YOU look like a super mom!
its those after birth hormones. I could do anything, ANYTHING for about 6 months after my twins were born on 2 hours of sleep. then it hit me like a brick wall and I haven't been able to catch up since. its been 4 years..
Carleena Giangiordano exactly and most of this youtube families have help at home with cleaning the house etc. not everything we see on the media is real. i
The first couple of days I had already reorganized most of the put off areas of my home such as the closets, drawers, bookshelves, and deep cleaned everything. Afterwards, I started getting cabin fever and tried not to get anxiety about my loved ones that are near or within the same area as confirmed cases of the virus. But I fell back in love with a hobby of mine that I had put off for so long because school and life got in the way....reading. I reread many books I had forgotten that I loved and in a way they helped keep my mind off the chaos that is going on. Prayer also helps a bunch as well as phone calls on the daily to make sure they are okay. Y'all are in my prayers and super glad y'all are doing okay!!!!
Deep breathing meditation, baking (although off all of it for lent), fixing up our camper, reading, face painting, cleaning (obviously), forts, phonics, movies, dance parties, kids yoga, organising, singing, face calls with grandparents & friends and trying to stay sane.
Watched this many times but I am still amazed of you do all these... I have 2 kids (3yr old and 1yr old) and oftentimes I feel overwhelmed. I just admire you for being so organized and productive... I can feel your energy even from watching you do all of these.... 😍😍😍
No kids but have a normal "wake up time" and workout (at home gyms are closed) is really helping me 1. stay physically active 2. not feel like i am wasting the day. Also, calling/ video chatting loved ones
As a homeschool family our day to day life hasn't changed much which I am thankful for. My kids have missed extracurriculars and time with friends but time apart will make their reunion very sweet. You look amazing! ❤️Great job Mama
I honestly was surprised at how quickly I kicked into gear. My husband has done a lot of the outside labor as far as gathering supplies and working. However, instead of this time adding to my issues with anxiety and even depression at times. I fell the mom I've been trying to connect with and who needed to tighten up schedule wise, needed to work on a little bit more frugality, cooking more and eating out less, being more patient, She, Well I, We found one another. I happened to come across your video from TLC show not long ago about counting waffles pieces and counting toilet paper sheets. I began putting the toilet paper method into place immediately after seeing the shortage of toilet paper supply, and paying more attention to portion control. I thank you for your tips, tricks, hacks, and up front and real momma moments because it has truly helped me grow as a woman and mom. It's so important that we grow as moms together, we are really what is going to bring light back into this craziness. Our men bare so much of the weight of the world and do have a ton of fear, but it's our jobs as their support system to ease their minds and hearts, to be their best friends and back bone during this crisis. A lot of us struggle with our "jobs" as moms but don't realize that taking care of the house, the kids, the meals, and schooling. We are what is keeping this world that we are in right now "normal". We are making "normality" happen in our own little worlds at home and literally keeping our husbands from breaking, our kids happy, fed, and at peace when there is absolutely nothing peaceful about our "well oil-ed machine" of a Nation is literally halting. Wow! Had no idea one sentence would turn into a paragraph! Thanks again for your support, your honesty, you positivity and being the Momma Bear Leader for a lot of us! Your an amazing woman, mom, and wife and we are thankful to have your voice help us become better version of who we really want to be. Charlotte Abdul-Jabbar
I LOVE how real you are with your kids. Talking about emergency preparedness and being as consistent as possible in these crazy times is amazing. I am a teacher and I wish everyone helped their kids get ready for the real world like you are.
Also our Church has arranged a moment of Prayer every evening for everyone to follow on youtube and thus is so conforting... we are in Italy quarantining for a long time now and we look forward this moment of the day to just be a family united together in prayer
We are truly blessed. We have 23 acres so we have been able to get solitude time as well as do things as a family. It has given us some time to get a jump on spring chores as well as do some that I was going to put off this year do to time restrictions. Now that we are home I have time and am getting us in a better situation to ride things out as long as need be.
Daily dance party in twirly dresses! The girls decided to try to do every puzzle we own before they go back. Board games, books, FaceTiming friends/teachers, so much art!
YAY, BABIES! I can't wait to "meet" them! Oh, I am so glad they were born before most of this insanity began and that you are not all in the hospital. Much love to you all.
Yes! All great ideas and we are doing most of them! I didn’t think I’d want to be so structured with a schedule but it makes a HUGE difference. It turns out to be less work for me in the end because I’m not breaking up fights or overwhelmed with what’s next. It’s all decided and the kids respond super well to the structure. And we’ve been doing “no screens” until their chores are done (for my 3, and 5 year old) and I can attest how game changing it has been! Their attitudes have changed and we have a lot less screens. It’s made this time easier. 👍🏼
We’re doing things together like backyard camping complete with a bonfire and s’mores (that was a blast). We have also planted a garden using 2 and 5 gallon buckets as well as starting plants from seeds and watching them grow. We rescued an abandoned baby duckling from the pond behind our house. We have FaceTime chatted with family and friends
Jordan you need a medal woman! You have all the house/kids/babies under control! Loved this vlog. My kids are older so I dont need to worry too much, except for one who I'll be homeschooling as of today! Its a manic situation in the world but us women are tough we can get thru and do this! Lots of 😍 from the UK
We had an impromptu dance party yesterday. We have spent most of our year spent up. Since Christmas, we have spent about 7-8 weeks of it, sick. Every other week, we come down with something for about two weeks by time it makes it through all six of us. We want our people back!
I'm working from home and LOVING this forced togetherness! I have never been able to work from home before and LOVE it! My youngest is nine so no one is confused as to when they can bother me and when they should not. We bought board games and really just like to be together. My oldest son works for UPS so he does still leave for his evening shift on week days as they are exempt from shelter at home orders.
We’re in Cali. My daughter’s school got a heads up a few days early about this and closed early, sending home iPads with the kids to homeschool. That weekend, they hosted a drive thru parents could show up and a bag of school materials their kid would need would be put in their car. The next week, Gavin Newsom ordered school closures. It’s a pretty phenomenal school, so much so that 4 of the local Police chiefs / sheriff’s from those counties send their kids to it - hence the advanced warning. So, we’ve been doing this for 2 weeks now, and by this point, my 6y/o can manage most of her own schooling. It slowed our lives but we ain’t stopping ;) Thanks for your great content as usual. Stay healthy and stay positive! The more folks stay home like you’re doing now, the less time we’ll all have to spend staying home overall. Keep sane and healthy and helping each other. Praying for all of you. My friend Elizabeth had her first baby March 9, named Katrina. They live in NY. It was a complicated birth but they are home now healthy and safe and quarantining. Please pray for them, too. Thank you! God bless the Freebs nations, right!
Spring cleaning and yard work! Trying to look on the positive side and taking the opportunity to get things done. Also, cooking some amazing meals. Nothing like a wonderful dinner to make you feel like all is right in the world.
We're staying busy as a family by scrapbooking, cleaning, crafts, DIYs, homeschooling, and purging the house. I'm trying to learn a new language, reboot my self esteem and learn how to make meals everyone will enjoy with what we're able to find combined with what we have and force myself to do some sort of exercise. 😂 Thanks for the tips!
I 100% agree that getting dressed & making your bed help so much! I’ve made a work at home schedule for myself & a school schedule for my daughter, using a similar method to your block schedule. My daughter is in JH so this is what she’s used to. It has been very helpful for myself and my daughter!
So, I'm actually still going to work every day. I work for a non-profit that serves adults with disabilities. I'm one of the office workers. They aren't letting us work from home (yet??). We're practicing social distancing at work (I had to move my office, temporarily). Other than that, we're living and breathing handwashing and hand sanitizer. We have an assessment team that takes our temperature every day and if we are exhibiting any symptoms (coughing, heavy chest, or fever), then we're being told to stay/go home. It's a pretty anxiety filled time, but I'm thankful to still have a job and be able to do something with my days and provide for my family's livelihood through this very scary time. Glad you are all able to stay home!
Same, I work for a nonprofit - and the CDC is not recommending quarantining (yet) just social distancing so we abide by that and are all here and working (my son is home). I love your thoughts - I was feeling sorry for myself especially seeing all these things I could be doing with my kid but I need to make a living, that's just the long and short of it - if I need my mortgage paid, my lights on, heat, food, etc etc I need to work. Plus we do help house people so that is nice work too. Enjoy your time if you have it!!!!
Jessica V Same! I’m in Australia and am an early childhood educator. Our government doesn’t want to shut schools or early childhood centres yet as our health workers etc need us to care for their children. I’m cranky about it as my four year old attends with me, but I also understand people need jobs and money. I’m also cranky that we are seen as a babysitting service but at the end of the day we need everyone getting the treatment they need.
Thank you, it's so lovely to see how everyone else is coping, I live in Wales in the UK and the schools have just closed so today was the first day, it was great because I kept it light and fun (I only have 1 child but a tiny house with a tinier back garden lol), however it is only day 1 😉. Thank you though, your video made me breathe a bit easier and stress just a little less. Sending love, light and peace to all of you xxx
I accidentally came upon your videos. I watched your laundry room organization video and had a feeling so I continued watching. I love watching your videos. They're so uplifting and neat to see how well you and your family go through your days with such a great spirit and light feeling. I know not all moments are sunshine and roses but it's nice to see some positive and uplifting videos in this day and age. I too am LDS. My husband and I both joined with our families when we were each 9 yrs old. We are nearly 3 yrs apart. Both of our children are now adults and we are teachers in Ontario, Canada. We are loving being home together and teaching from home and getting home organized and clean. I love the messages of peace and hope from our Prophet. I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos and wish you all the best while cooped up with 8 babes. God Bless!
I am a preschool teacher from Rome, Italy. Thank you so much for sharing this video and stressing the importance of staying at home. We were so sure we wouldn't catch the virus, just a few weeks ago it was something far away for us, we felt pity for tje Chinese stuck at home thinking "This could never happen to us". Then the first patient got infected and still we were like "oh well, it's just one victim, it won't affect our Country and our lives". Now our death toll overtake China's, we have military in our streets, we can't leave our houses except to buy groceries in our neighborhood, restaurants, shops, offices, even some factories, are shot down school are closed and we do not when and if they will be opened again before September, and all this happened in just a couple of weeks . Please stay at home and do not underestimate the virus.
Last week was a week of really just figuring out what works & what doesn’t as far as a schedule. I had one set to go ( I even laminated it), & it quickly went to the wayside. This week, I’ll be balancing things differently- working with each kid individually on schoolwork as much as possible . I’ve figured out that my kids like an art project a day, and lots of time for movement. Thanks for the video. Stay safe & healthy!!!
I LOVE YOUR LIFE! We also did a video last week on what helps us through this here in Denmark. Number one is to stick to a routines and create new ones!!! Love your advice too! :)
Reading always helps, letting L.O pic the box always helps her to focus more rather than walking away half way through Painting always a win, coming up to Easter time so painting eggs that will then be hidden in the garden for her to find is something to look forward to. Hide and seek, playing house, picnic in garden Then we love board games and “who am I” to pass time when she is in bed
Thank you!! I've worked 2-4 jobs at a time since my divorce over 5 years ago. Even though it feels like the world is upside down, I'm at home with my 4 boys. It feels like a dream come true in the middle of a pandemic. Thank you for sharing so many great tips. I'm starting clipboards today!!
It’s beautiful to see how actively involved your husband is! He is very “hands-on” and willing to “ work the plan” ... what a blessing. You two make a great team!
I work with individuals with developmental disabilities and with everything that is going on with this social separation has been hard because they are fixated on why they have to stay home and can’t go places like normal right now. So I have been reading aloud to them, coloring and Disney + has been a blessing this week.
My faith is keeping me from panicking, which I'm thankful for... Also a perfect time to have a newborn. Our baby number 4 was born March 3rd so we're already in the no need to go out phase! Ha. Seemed to have timed out well for us! Congrats on yours! ♥️💙 Actually looking forward to some good family time and then getting through this and into the after with a profound thankfulness! Thanks for the video!
You are the best ! An incredible woman, wife, mother and human being 😍😍😍 Keep safe and rest a little if you can, you deserve and need it ! A big fan from France
I give multiple breaks because my middle child has ADHD and I’m trying to use journaling as a stress relief. We also get about two hours apart to do whatever.
Great idea! I also just started a journal. Im not always good on keeping up with it tho. My dad passed away not to long ago and it's been so hard to say the least. He was my rock and I feel lost and alone. Anyways I just started seeing a new therapist and its a suggestion she made. It does help when I do it. I have two kid's that are 12 and 14 that keep me pretty stressed teen year's might be the hardest lol.
We are using these tips you gave. We are also choosing different family members to face time every day. So, we get the feeling that we are visiting loved ones.
Jordan you are such an inspiration! The way you mother your children, and manage your household is Proverbs 31 at its best! I am a 26 year old wife and mom of 3 young boys. I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all lately and came a cross your videos. They have been so inspiring and uplifting! Please continue to allow God to use you to show the beauty of a modern day virtuous woman! Love and prayers for you and your beautiful family!💕💕💕
You are incredibly strong and inspiring mother, i just loved every minute watching you how you manage all of this situation going on, thank you for sharing all your necessaries tips always! Many hugs to you and your babies❤ P.s: Your Bubba, is a lucky one 🥂
Mrs. Jordan Page, I just want u to know that im so glad to have found ur videos. I dont have any children, not my choice, but my depression and PTSD from that, is so severe that years of counseling, and medication just wasent working for me. I was living but not with any kind of peace or motivation. I watched several of ur videos, i seen where u said to make my bed and prayer and meditation in my bible, just a few minutes each morning would make a big difference. I started doing just that and it completely changed my whole life. Please dont think im wierd or anything, im just telling u that u have motivated me to the point of peace of mind and a happy, positive person that people r seeing a change in my life. Thank u for sharing ur honesty, Faith and ur funny sense of humor. I could never thank u enough, But i thank God every day and i pray for u. Thank u again.
@@susie7336 I have a 7 yr old and 3 yr old, and they will sometimes wake with me. It's like they have mommy sonar built in. Lol but I still get my 30 mins in. Another option I actually did yesterday was putting on kids yoga on UA-cam so they did two yoga sessions 15 minutes each while I was on the bike watching them.
We are trying to keep busy! We do a movement before “school” like Go Noodle on UA-cam. Arts and crafts like a little perler bead set and the kids loved it so I bought a bigger set! Music - I bought Dollar Store instrument recorders and had them watch UA-cam videos to play “Hot Cross Buns,” today we had a “spa” day where I bought the face masks and did their nails, we made “reading tents” to read in... I can manage for a few weeks but I’m afraid I’ll run out of ideas if this lasts too much longer! 😬 how do teachers do it? Hope you and the family are doing well!
I have been honing my homesteading skills...been watching videos and made apple cider vinegar, fermented garlic and honey (boosts the immune system) and next homemade bread. Set up our homeschool and created a better space for my husbands office...in the same room. This should be fun. Just got a Cricut as an early Mother's Day/Covid virus curb-cabin fever gift so we'll see how this goes. Ordered missals for prayer and do at home mass. Prayer/meditation everyday is vital in this trying time. So happy to see your beautiful family! Stay healthy everyone!
Saw your clipboard in another video, and we love it!! My kiddos 6 and 8 years old do not understand money. So small tip! I have antiheroes board of extra chores that they get Monopoly money and can spend it on that screen time or snacks that aren’t the healthiest option!
1. Helping me with more chores than their daily 2. They are learning about money BUT I’ve always had a hard time coming up with chores because they love to help 😂
I already homeschool so that's not really a problem. But lots of going outside, fun snacks, board games, puzzle books, arts and crafts. All the things basically. Baking with the kids. That's the best!
* I love to spend a little time on my embroidery hoop! It's a quiet, calm way to spend little 15 mins mini blocks of time. * I think it's such a sweet thing to cook a small batch of homemade muffins or cookies, once or twice a week with the children's help. It's a precious time to come together to made something everyone can get together to enjoy!! * Reading time for kids is so important and helps with all areas of literacy in the one activity. However for a quiet time activity or to have play in the background of maybe an art lesson buy a good quality children's audio book. * Any kind of word game you can play together, thats age appropriate is a fun way to get our children to think whilst building that word store! * Now is a great time to invest in a back yard trampoline, so good for kid's and teens to exercise in a fun way! * Any time spent in the garden is great, fill pots with fresh soil ready for pot plants later in the season. Or do some weeding with the kids and feed the birds, then you can watch these friendly visitors to the garden everyday!! * Must not forget those hugs and kisses with our children anytime of day! They aren't kids for long, don't let those too cool teenagers fool you, they love a hug as much as they ever did; it's one of the best ways to show our love and appreciation of them in our lives!!
Glass half full! Love it. I and my husband are using this time to complete home projects we've been putting off. Basically anything we already have on hand we are using to make updates or repairs. I also start my day off with meditation, puts a positive outlook on the day.
Just dropped in to say “Go Page Family!” Nice grounding for everyone! Just saw the coolest little video...I think from Italy...about an indoor “quarantine” workout for parents and children that looks like just total playing, but you can tell there is a learning op there as well. I am in my 70’s, but learning so much to share with my kids and grands. Y’all are great...and provide great models.
Wishing you all the best!! I am a college student without kids but I've started going on walks with my dad around our neighbourhood and into a conservation area nearby. Lots of fresh air and exercise and it helps us feel less trapped.
I need to start making my bed in the morning because I just want to get back in throughout the day if I don’t! And I wear my pajamas all day if I don’t go out for the day, especially during the coronavirus :(
Brooke Loffredo Don’t feel bad I wear my pjs all day, pjs are comfy , there’s nothing wrong with being comfy and if you feel comfortable in pjs all day you do you. I get dressed if I am going out even just to the store, but if I plan on staying in all day I stay in my pjs I still shower of course.
PJ's are my best friend lol i know just what you mean about wanting to get back in bed all day. I've been going thru major depression and I live in bed. One thing my doc said was to make my bed everyday and don't get under the covers till its bedtime..... It has helped some but problem is I have to get out of it first 😆
Thank you Jordan! We’re currently on Spring Break, but I’ll definitely follow your kids at home block system once we’re starting our quarantine routine. Congratulations btw-the twins are so precious!
Tiny apartment, 34 weeks pregnant with first, mother in law helping prep Apt for baby, husband working from home, so many baby shower gifts, baby prep classes cancelled, invisilign braces extended till due date, took apart desk yet have online meetings, still visiting hospice Patients when only weeks away from leaving work... Taking it one day at a time, but making sure to take out some me time to record my successes for the day. Thanks for awesome tips Jordan!! I value these videos and I'm so inspired by the ideas you implement with your adorable, strong, resourceful, and wonderful family.
We picked up new art supplies and new sketch books. Dollar tree has a ton of wood figures to paint and smaller kits for the little ones! Also full on movie nights with pillow forts, way too many blankets, popcorn, dogs and all (rotate picking). Everyone stay healthy and enjoy each other!!
My kids have been home all week, home school started today. They have been alone all week 😭 they are 11, 15, and 16 so they are pretty good at self starting. I called them multiple times today to be sure they were doing their work! My husband starts working from home tomorrow! I unfortunately work at a hospital, so I get to still go to work, for now. My state is tiny (New Hampshire) so we have only about 40 cases in the whole state right now. The Lord is still in control though, keep your faith strong everybody!
Thank you for this! I have 5 children and have been one of your subscribers for a while, but now especially your videos make me feel so much less alone and really encouraged. Your family is beautiful!
In the UK we have only just decided to close schools.. So my 4 and almost 6 year old have their last day tomorrow.. I bought a trampoline!! 🙈 Not something I wanted to splurge on but as a mother working from home I needed some way to have them burn a little energy and get outside.. Out garden is quite small so I need to get creative with space.. The conservatory is being made into "school" for learning, play and crafts so they're hopefully not wrecking my entire house.. I have a little basket each for them and in the morning they get to fill their water bottles, pick about 5 small snacks (my kids are grazers).. 1 naughty and 4 healthy healthy..(carrot battons/crudités/a piece of fruit etc) They are then going to be in control of that for the entire day.. If they eat it all first thing (no naughty snack at all in the morning before lunch though) then that's tough.. Just meals for the rest of the day.. I think they will eat it all pretty quick on the first day but will soon learn 😂 One other thing I've done which may sound odd is I have gone through their clothes and chosen 7 tops and bottoms and I will do the same for undies and socks, 1 coat, 1 jumper, 1 hoody.. And I'm packing the rest away.. I'm not having them get dressed 3 thousand times a day.. All of which goes into the laundry basket 🙄🤔.. Gonna do the same for myself.. So that I don't keep wearing more and more stuff and putting of laundry until I can't move 😂😂..fingers crosses that works.. One of m local gyms is doing a P.E(physical educations) live on Facebook each day for the kids at 11am.. I am going to build my day roughly around that.. Good luck to you all ❤️
That is an awesome idea...the clothes...Lord, the clothes!!! With all going on and me not wanting to be at the store every other day, I started rationing their snacks. My husband was free for all until I told him there literally was NOTHING left to buy at the store, so he would have 4 hungry, cranky kids to deal with, by himself, if we ran out because at that point I would go self-quarantine in my room and let him deal with his consequences until all returned to normal. Hahaha! He saw it my way REAL QUICK! I will go implement the clothes idea...right now! #winning
Check out the body coach- on UA-cam, I’m sure you’ve heard his doing PE classes at 9am UK time for children and anyone else that wants to follow. All proceeds from those that subscribe and loyalties from UA-cam his donating to the NHS so that’s at least going to a great place.
I've listened a video and the woman was saying that we should not strive for survival but for quality of life and staying in that place of thoughts. I thought it was inspiring. It is really though to keep my kids busy doing something else than video games because they don't really want to do anything else and, since my youger son is pretty anxious by nature, I feel that playing his games and talking with his friends online keep him distracted from the situation we are facing. But we are still happy and joyful as always, my husband and I are making jokes, having a good time and laughter and bliss fill our home. I am just being really honest. I feel that this situation is challenging for us human but it is so good to see nature being able to breathe and I think of all the animals that enjoy a little break from our crazy lifestyle and it feels my heart with gratitude. Thank you for your video, I will to structure things a bit and gently get my children to move more. Thank you Jordan, you are so strong and such an inspiration. Much love to your family!
I'm an atheist, but since the shutdown started, every time I open my eyes in the morning I take a moment to acknowledge how lucky I am that my family is ok, I am ok, we have food in our pantry and, finally, time to be together. What else is there to wish for?
A positive statement we all need. I feel you are blessed. Idk much about atheism. Some..BUT I pray that as you reflect and are thankful during this time..You will still see the hope that comes from God.... This HUGE time in our lives I dont believe God caused, but a time to slow down, be with family. Care for others. That is how He works...in strange way...A good way, and an attention way to show us how much He does bless and love us all..Stay healthy
Cleaning, sanitizing, cooking extra meals, stocking a few supplies. (Not taking everything in the store). I already homeschool but my granddaughter is on spring break. Decluttering, passing on legitimate helpful information to other family members and friends.
Just here to say THANK YOU Jordan! I’ve been doing your clipboard and block system for a while, on and off, but now it’s SAVING my life with the kids home full-time. I’m so glad I had those tools in the back of my mind for when it really counts.
I don’t think I’ve ever clicked a video so fast! I have four kids under 8 (one being only 4 months), and I definitely want to get a schedule in place. Any tips to keep little ones occupied while the big ones are doing schoolwork? I have a 2.5 year old that kinda throws a wrench into any plan I make!
Check out this post! There are lots of good activities for the little ones! funcheaporfree.com/indooractivities You can also print off worksheets for your little ones and let them do "school," too!
I have a one year old and am 6 months pregnant with my second. Keeping the house clean now that I'm working from home helps me stay sane. I've used some Montessori techniques so that there's not so much chaos with my one year old. Since it's us two at home all day while my husband goes to work I just really let him get involved in everything I'm doing throughout the day and I have his toy setup all in reach for him so he can be independent with his play. Thinking about starting reading a book after my son goes to bed. Love your tips and videos!! You are inspo goals ❤️
I've been home alone (again) after just accepting two new part-time jobs. I went back to a modified version of the daily checklist I had when I was job hunting: morning routine, check-in with family and friends, yoga/take a walk, Duolingo and Bible Project classes, chip away at grad school, evening routine. I treat myself like a total child and basically have clipboard system like your kiddos just for myself! We've had church Parish group on Zoom, and we're planning a virtual dinner party. I threw myself into helping my parent and teacher friends with this pinterest board of school-from-home resources: www.pinterest.com/bethanysdavis/the-great-staycation/
My So-Called Teacher Life thank you💖 you sound like an amazing person🥰
surlespasdondine 😊 TY
Maybe this will bring more appreciation to teachers, well deserved pay raise and real discipline i dont mean that in a bad way. But kids need learn

Thanks mama! Hang in there!
I don’t have kids and am in my early 20s but I still watched this whole video and found it really helpful lol thank you so much!!
You need to keep busy, too! It's definitely important for all of us to keep busy right now.
I don't have kids. I'm in my early 30s and I found this helpful. I'm working from home now for a couple of weeks.
Me, too! ^^
Early 20s too! Love it!
An Iris bloomed in my garden yesterday, it reminded me that Heavenly Father will calm the storm. Scripture study and Come Follow Me study guides along with prayer will make us stronger. Beautiful Family...love from Navajo Nation
What I love about having everybody at home right now is to DECLUTTER everything. It is so freeing and it makes fun.
I crochet baby and children’s clothes. I stocked up on wool before I went on self isolation. I also downloaded skillshare and I am re learning french.
Love it! You're set!
Georgia Thomsett I'm teaching my high school classes over the internet at the moment, i'm a French teacher😉
Maroxa Mawson We were instructed to do so, neither the teachers nor the students are technically on break even though the schools are closed. It's important!
Shew, I can't even imagine dealing with an earthquake in the middle of a pandemic....and still the kids are doing school work 😱 you're super woman
It was a 5.7, the largest Utah has seen since 1992. Terrible timing during all the madness
We had one here in upstate NY too. It’s been crazy
We had one in Croatia, Europe. Largest in last 140 years.
Glad your doing well. PRAYING for EVERYONE in the WORLD.
For me, prayer and knowing I'm talking to God, helps calm the anxiety

Jordan: I just had twins, but that didn’t phase me, I’m already bouncing back doing my daily activities and taking great care of my kids. Me: had Irish twins and barely had the energy for anything. You are a super mom!
I had Irish twins too, and boy oh boy idk how she does it.
She needs to slow it down because it's going to catch up to her at some point
Lighting candles, jazz music, playing games with the children and intimacy with my hubby has helped my anxiety.
Sounds perfect to me

Working from home, planting seeds, and cleaning outside when it is warm
Lots of walking with my hubby and puppy. Coffee breaks outside, new season of Top Chef which is great so far! You’re an amazing mama!
We had an impromptu dance party yesterday. We have spent most of our year spent up. Since Christmas, we have spent about 7-8 weeks of it, sick. Every other week, we come down with something for about two weeks by time it makes it through all six of us. We want our people back!
You give new meaning to the word, “Superwoman” 😊💓
Aww you are way too kind!
It slowed our lives but we ain’t stopping ;)
Thanks for your great content as usual.
Enjoy your time if you have it!!!!
im working too. in a rehab center. we have more then 10 girls so I don't know what will happen. As they say in rehab...one day at a time :)
I work for Meals on Wheels, same scenario so far...
Also still working! At the hospital.

As a psychologist, let me say you are doing great! The pomodoro method is very useful in this case, plus independent time is really important
Great idea! I also just started a journal. Im not always good on keeping up with it tho. My dad passed away not to long ago and it's been so hard to say the least. He was my rock and I feel lost and alone. Anyways I just started seeing a new therapist and its a suggestion she made. It does help when I do it. We are using these tips you gave. We are also choosing different family members to face time every day. So, we get the feeling that we are visiting loved ones.
Instead of only having one backup thing I bought one extra before all of this happened. Example two boxes of trash bags.

@@susie7336 I have a 7 yr old and 3 yr old, and they will sometimes wake with me. It's like they have mommy sonar built in. Lol but I still get my 30 mins in.
Mysticlover Fairy Thank you! Pjs are so comfy :)
PJ's save on laundry too!
Awe, same here though. No judgement.
PJ's are my best friend lol i know just what you mean about wanting to get back in bed all day. I've been going thru major depression and I live in bed. One thing my doc said was to make my bed everyday and don't get under the covers till its bedtime..... It has helped some but problem is I have to get out of it first 😆
Omg Jordan you are never a let down. I can always count on you to get realistic advice. Thanks a bunch.
Aww thank you! So glad it helped!
Hang in there, Mama!
I have never clicked a video so fast in my life lol ❤️ Definitely needing your videos during this Self Quarantine! 🙏
HA!!! We're working on getting more out there for you guys!
Omg yes please!!!! Favourite UA-cam Family hands down!!! ❤️❤️
Thank you for your service!!!
Thank you for this! I have 5 children and have been one of your subscribers for a while, but now especially your videos make me feel so much less alone and really encouraged. Your family is beautiful!
Thank YOU! We're all going to get through this! ❤️
1 naughty and 4 healthy healthy..(carrot battons/crudités/a piece of fruit etc)
They are then going to be in control of that for the entire day.. If they eat it all first thing (no naughty snack at all in the morning before lunch though) then that's tough.. Just meals for the rest of the day.. I think they will eat it all pretty quick on the first day but will soon learn 😂
One other thing I've done which may sound odd is I have gone through their clothes and chosen 7 tops and bottoms and I will do the same for undies and socks, 1 coat, 1 jumper, 1 hoody..

Home school Uniform ! Love it
Check out the body coach- on UA-cam, I’m sure you’ve heard his doing PE classes at 9am UK time for children and anyone else that wants to follow.
I think a lot of people are feeling this way. Positive impact of the shutdown. Give you time to sit back and remember what it's all for!
I am right there with you. My daughter's friend was tested and eventually found negative but each day my daughter woke up healthy, I was so grateful.
Wish that it is all over very very quickly!
I love your bed!!
Aww thank you, Savannah! ❤️
Just here to say THANK YOU Jordan! I’ve been doing your clipboard and block system for a while, on and off, but now it’s SAVING my life with the kids home full-time. I’m so glad I had those tools in the back of my mind for when it really counts.
So glad it's helping you!
Awesome!! Thank you!!
Jordan, for having twins, you look amazing! And all of this energy you have, good lord! Bless you! ❤️
