    🔅Welcome🔅
My name is Niki. I am a former high school chemistry & biology public school teacher turned homeschool mom of 4 kiddos. We are a secular homeschooling family, with a laid back schooling style. I'm a busy WAHM who just tries to stay afloat some days. But we would never change a thing!
I would love to get to know you better down in the comments, and I hope you'll stay awhile and chat ❤️

History is so much more fascinating now that I'm teaching it and finding great resources than I ever thought as a kid!

We love Curiosity Chronicles. We pair it with Horrible Histories books and cartoon on UA-cam.

I’m excited about learning some history all over again and navigating it in a different way than I remember. That’s neat you can get some of this information on Khan academy

I’m excited to bring in another teenage athlete I work with!!! He was relle struggling with homeschooling so He’s joining us!!! My teenage daughter was doing history and wanted to know more of Japanese history when she saw the difference in culture to Moden Japan so she’s doing a yr of research of Japanese history, culture and geography!!! She’s learning Japanese and is obsessed with manga!!! We tried using a full book for history but it didn’t work!!!

I also didn’t like history in public school when I was younger because the way it was taught but I’m looking forward to teach my kids in a couple years when they are older, finding a great hands on curriculum that will make it fun!
