I would recommend starting Explode the Code 1 about half way through All About Reading 1. 😊 I love your picks. I used Primer, AAR and Explode the Code when my daughter was in Kindergarten. 😊
I do both All about Reading and Explode the Code. 🙂 Usually for Kindergarten my kids do AAR 1 and Get Ready for the Code A-C. We use Explode the Code as review since A-C would be a bit easier than than AAR1. I like to use it as independent work though and I have them do it at the same time they do handwriting. Once they finish C I have them go ahead and move into book 1. It's worked really well for us to help solidify the phonics!
The explode the code halves are just a continuation of the book before it. So it's extra practice of your child isn't ready for the next level. We have done level 1, 2, 3, and 4 and all the halves in between and that's what I have noticed from using them.
Looks like a fun year! Thanks for sharing:) Some fun math games for kindergarten…jump 1 and clumsy thief jr by melon rind are great. Rat-a-tat cat…tiny polka dot…and sum swamp are also great ones!

Thank you for that!! Enjoy your summer!☀️
We love explode the code. It helps my daughter with reading and spelling, as a supplement.
That is fantastic! Can’t wait to start using it!
