This curriculum is so expensive $175 is out of reach for many homeschool families. I honestly wish these publishers provide some sort b2s discount etc but they don’t offer that. Families of multiple students on the same grade level like myself is impossible to get this.

Thanks for explaining how math u see is mastery. It sounds like a good addition to our curriculum but not necessarily as the ONLY math source because i really like the spiral approach to teaching..

Hello. I've been wanting to homeschool for a while and just recently took the jump into homeschool. Im in Northeastern part of Florida and interested in your reviewer.

Is it ok to use these books as main textbooks for someone who wants to self study math from the very basic level?

We are in our 8th year but I had to re count to see how many years we’ve been homeschooling!!! Ur burnout video was awesome!!! Once a nanny always a nanny!!! I’ve done nanny work and it probably effects my parenting as I still use my nanny skills!!! Travel schooling is different but we love it!!! I find my kids hate our sports press but as long as they don’t speak to my kids about my work they are ok with these ppl!!! They don’t want to be in the magazines!!! I didn’t cook for thanksgiving and it was awesome!!! Our co op has a slow January and then we start back after the competitions!!! We have a history reader and my teenagers are in a different point!!! Only my teenagers are doing history at the moment!!!

In our home we call thanksgiving shark day and my older kids who know why are greatful for our family friend not getting killed in a shark attack!!! My kids call her their aunt!!! We love air con as well living in a hot climate!!! I’m Thankful for being able to homeschool in a sports community and show my kids the world at the same time!!! I remember homeschooling being different as a kid than now!!! As a teenager we where the only Christians in our homeschool community but we where homeschooling due to surfing!!! I’m finding looking for Jewish studies harder!!! I want my kids to understand their heritage!!!

Is this the entirety of the materials for your philosophy curriculum or do you use others?

We LOVE manga tiles (we always get the official manga tiles brand as I think the quality is next to none) and Plus Plus, Lego’s and sylvanian families! Jigsaw puzzles are always a win too. We also brought Dragon Wood which is a lovely board game for kids and teens and is different everytime you play! Janod, Djeco and Petite Collage are also really good toy brands that are ethically sourced and amazing high quality ❤

My daughter absolutely loves the Magna tiles. She enjoys playing with her Ltd safari animals with the tiles. She enjoys making a zoo. She also likes making towers and hides the animals in the different levels. The animals are on the pricer side but hold up so well and are realistic so we use them to learn about the animals. We buy the families of the animals allowing us to practice grouping. We also talk about what continent they live on. You can use the discounts from Michael’s one them. They have been having some good sales lately. They are great for stocking stuffers.

It's nice to know that Microsoft Edge has the workspace feature. I'm using Opera and it has the same feature too. It's super helpful!

My older kids do a lot of independent work and they love to sit with me as I plan our travel schedules and the other day my kid text her friends to say we are going to a said location as I was on the phone booking it!!! I make lists like that and I know we will leave the house in February with a list of housework especially organising!!! We have a cleaner wen we are at home and that helps!!! I have separate tags in my digital planner for what I need!!! I’m not good at taking breaks!!! I don’t auto play!!! I plan as I watch streaming services!!! I love surfing with my older kids!!! I love the bonding I get wen exercising!!! I cut the bad fats in all meals including holiday meals!!! My teenage daughter loves decorating and I love to see it and it also helps me!!!

My husband and I just had this convo this morning. I am struggling in the science area since my 6th grader knows way more than I do. I feel guilty buying a curriculum instead of planning it myself. However, I just don't have the time. The cost for the curriculum is like a month of a house cleaner, which I had no issues paying for, yet I could do that myself. It's weird.

We try to limit breaks during the school year to 2 weeks or less. It's just too hard to come back after a longer break 😂. I always plan our first week back before we break, as well! It makes it so much easier to jump back into school if your plan is already set.

I encourage my kids to use vocabulary words in daily life wen possible!!! I‘ve been teaching my kids to look at the context!!! I feel like we need to teach both skills!!! We have a language arts curriculum that the lessons are 5 days so 5 - 10 pages so I’m guessing the lesson in word roots are ment to be broken down!!! I get my kids to write lists for root words!!!

I don’t prepare for a homeschooling break but I love the idea!!! We just prepare for travel and jump back in!!! I’ve just had to write stuff down on my records so I can be prepared as there is stuff we do often so I write them down and use trackers!!! During the high holiday season I had no brain power to come back!!! We where doing beauty subjects tho and anatomy as we had questions so I got the book out to answer the questions only!!! I think we block subjects thru out the year!!!
