Hi Gordon, absolutely lovely feel. Would you mind if I shared a clip from this video on my youtube channel? I'm putting together a video about the LCM/RGT's jazz guitar diplomas. Cheers!
@@gordonstewart8655 Awesome Gordon, thanks so much man. I'd only use a snippet anyway and I'll be sure to tag you and let you know when the full video is out.
@@gordonstewart8655 Hello mate, the full video is here: ua-cam.com/video/nszVGGFU1L4/v-deo.htmlsi=7Zr6P-JPOAvjEiiR Thanks again for letting me share it, absolutely wonderful playing
Thank you! It’s always a combo of what I hear in the moment, jazz blues solos and phrases I’ve lifted and muscle memory. I’m aware of the chord tones when I’m playing but not necessarily always using it to build my solo.
Appreciate the space. So many musicians never let the rhythm breathe under them
Thanks man! Space awareness is definitely one of those things best learned from playing lots with others.
Amazing.
Thanks!
i wish i could do that! i'm inspired

Dope… heard some of those licks before.. you tastefully make them your own 😊
Thanks, man! Appreciate you checking out the video, and I'm hardly a jazz original!
best interpretation I've heard in a long time! Nice Wes Montgomery run-up-phrase into the solo at bars 1, 2 & 3!
Thank you! Love a good run-up-phrase!
Love your vocabulary Great phrasing! More?
Thanks, Robert! Appreciate the kind words. I'll post some more jazz stuff soon!
you are GOOD!
Thanks man!
Sounds great brother! Is 0:48 a quote? Love that phrase. Also 0:58 is just sweeeeet. keep on playing
Thanks Nacho! I'm sure I'm quoting Wes or Grant Green all over this thing. Hard to remember from where these days though 🙃.
good one: just subscribed to your channel!
Thanks Al!
Nice
Thanks!
Nice man, bit of Emily Remler in there as well ;)
Thanks man! I love Emily’s playing and am guilty of stealing her licks!
Tip of the hat to Emily Remler!
For sure! Have ripped off quite a bit from her over the years.
Emily Remler sound very nice impro
Thanks man!
Hey Gordon, wanted to ask what kind of gear and EQ you were running on this recording? I love your tone-it's absolutely immaculate!
Hey thanks! I actually can’t really remember what exact amp sim I used but it was likely neural tone king or Cory Wong.

Such good phrasing ! Stealing some of this sorry :P
Thanks, man! Steal away, we all do it!
I HATE THE SPACE I LIKE IT TO BE CRAMPED SO I can’t BREATHE AS I SUFFOCATE ON AWESOMENESS (indiscipline)
Great playing. Are you thinking about lead tones when playing over the progressions or is it more muscle memory for you?
