From the paramedic perspective, we are trained that if the helmet fits well to leave it on and secure to the backboard accordingly. Visor removal is nice, but the check pads are going to be more for the emergency room to assist with removal without damaging the helmet more.
guy forks, we generally try to avoid additional jostling in the event of trauma. I would love training on this subject though! Also may effect that I'm in a state that doesn't have helmet laws (Illinois) which I find ridiculous...
So do we LOL hit it with a tube and blade if that doesnt work i guess ill pull out the fail safe tube that regular EMT-B's use cant miss with that pump up on side listen if not hit the other side :O)
I crashed Monday going 103 mph on a turn and was wearing the x14, I high sided and flipped hitting head first into my shoulder. Literally. Nothing happened to me from me wearing the gear I wore. And that helmet, I indeed can say I'm going to be getting another one. Best helmet hands down.
Yeah, no kidding. It's almost like there's something called training that medical professionals need. It's almost like you couldn't try to remove it without seeing the bright red and yellow markings.
I just bought this X14 (Marquez livery) couple days ago. Its worth every penny! So damn quiet from surrounding noise, and very comfort! It's also very stable at high speed (1.7 kg / 3.7ish pounds/lbs). The only CONS I have, since it's a RACING helmet: 1. You DO spend more time&more effort in attaching/detaching the double D ring chin strap system (if you use it for daily commuting). 2. The visor sight is high (needed mostly for tuck-in position at high speed, I know), you need to gaze your head a bit lower should you need to look down (to your shoes/feet point). It's a total new experience using this Shoei X14 if you came before from, let's say my Nolan N64.
Austin Grubbs Dude when I started riding they threw VHS at us... These modern day bluerays are nothing compared to them, but I am glad they found a solution for them.
Shoei and Icon aren't even in the same league. I bought an Icon Airmada and it was terrible, so I sent it back and tried on a Shoei RF-1200... It's the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn!
The icon airmada was fine on my bonneville. But once I got my EBR I noticed I was getting headaches and neckaches from trying to look up while tucked in. got the RF-1200... All my problems with the airmada disappeared.
The glasses thing is common to all Shoei. I wear a Quest and it's exactly the same: suck putting the glasses on, but after that it's OK. It does seem to hold the glasses up off my nose just a bit, but that is actually helpful in compensating for any tuck.
I agree that the X-14 is top quality. Though I haven't really tried any other helmet from this, it definitely is comfortable, flows a ton of air, and at first, it was quite heavy, so my head would sway side to side on the highways, but I got used to it and it doesn't move much, if at all. The only gripe I'd have with this helmet would indeed be the glasses situation, where at first, when the lining was still stiff and not formed to my face just yet, the glasses were indeed a PITA to put on, but now it slips right in, but still conforms comfortably and securely. Good helmet choice, Chase!
I've got the RF-1200 and I love it. It's great. But dear lord does that profile look sick on the X-14. I don't think I would ever not wear a Shoei helmet, they're just super high quality, and I'd definitely look to the X-14 for my next one.
Hi what helmet would you prefer to use if you were commuting an hour on the freeway about 85mph average speed? I'm about to upgrade to a shoei helmet but I cannot decide between the rf 1200 or the X-14 lol
Had a rf1200. Wrecked but survived. The quality is above everything else, the safety rating is amazing. Fit and comfort above all else. Had an icon and returned it. If you want a helmet that can do it all and has a pinlock included. Go for that 1200 or x14. It will be worth it
as someone who works at a gear shop, it's pretty hilarious seeing people who are used to icon crapbuckets [sorry, they have nice graphics but that's about it :^) ] getting *properly fitted* for a shoei, arai, schuberth, etc... any premium brand for the first time just ruins some people from ever going back to those plastic DOTbucket i'm just surprised that it took ya so long to try one of these out

Nick B I have an icon airmada and it’s not too bad once it gets broken into. I just wish they tinted the visor darker because you can see through it way to easily and it lets too much sun through.
Chase, as I can tell by the video (I don't know but it seems) just make sure you fasten your helmet properly. When you wore the helmet you didn't put the chinstrap through the double D ring and when you were riding I could notice that. Maybe I'm wrong but just make sure of it otherwise the helmet can be useless. Like you mate, keep it up!
I switched from the Variant to the X-14 I must say it's an amazing helmet I have the Assail Color scheme which is a more than solid colors. If you have the money to spend go try it on and if you like and it fits great buy it!
Just to kinda add to the whole Vortex Generator thingymajiggy: They don't really help drag that massively or noticeably, what they really help with is wind noise and stability. You see when you're going over the ton with your helmet, the air just hammers against the visor and has to squeeze itself around. And the part where the airflow transitions from the visor to the actual helmet, there is a step and it suddendly has to do a 90° turn. That is where the constant rushing sound comes from which *will* eventually damage hearing. There are multiple ways to combat this, Arai for example pulls the visor tight against the helmet upon closing which provides a really good seal but also makes the little step from visor to shell smaller. Everybody else on the other hand uses these vortex generators, Schuberth for example has been really successful with those, you can see the little nubbins on most of their visors (e.g.: Schuberth C3 which is widely considered the quietest helmet on the market). They vortex generators break up the laminar airflow which in simple terms means it'll kinda toss it over the gap. Many cars use this too, for example on the BMW E46 facelift models there are some on the side mirrors to combat wind noise. Some also have a little skirt at the front windows to again, sorta toss the air over the window. A little continuation of my tangent about the mentioned stability for those who are still with me: You might've noticed how many of the race helmets are oddly stretched front to back, the X14 (X-Spirit III) kinda makes you look like an alien (The H.R. Gieger, not the Rossi kind). That is because our noggins are roughly cylindrical (Especially if you're Lego) and cylindrical objects inside a fluid will create turbulences on the side opposite to the one facing the flow. And the turbulences will create oscillations at the object are actually in a 90° angle to the flow (which sounds as unlogical as countersteering but it's true). And the further we can get away from a cylindrical shape, the lower the swinging and flinging of your head left to right which is why the X14 makes you look like an alien.
I own he shoei x14/xspirit3 helmet and it's an awesome looking and fitting helmet. Though the bell race star looks better. But the x14 is better for riding on streets, with cut out for Speakers. While the race star has no cut outs for speakers and are all in for racing.
Because you asked, these are some of my top priorities when looking for a helmet lol #1: Safety for obvious reasons. #2: Ventilation because it regularly gets over 110° in Vegas. #3: Upper & side visibility especially when in a full tuck. #4: Visor hinge and lock quality because there is nothing worse than buying a $1,300 AGV just to find out the visor doesn't stay up on it's own lol. #5: Overall look because I'm a sucker for a bad ass looking helmet. So far the X-Fourteen seems like it checks all the boxes and more, so I'm putting it at the top of my list for my new helmet. Looks like a solid buy and thanks for the review 👍
@@CBRFRENZIE It's not too bad on wind noise, I can hear my cardo just fine at normal speeds, and It gets drowned out at around 150mph. It's by far the quietest I've personally owned and is good for daily riding imo. But just for reference I have a cardo black with the 45mm speakers which are pretty loud so I can't say it'll be exactly the same with the Sena, but I can't imagine it being too much of a difference.
It may comfort you to know that EQRS systems are explained in our local EMT courses during the motorcycle section, as well as the medical portion of firefighter 1. I'm sure it's relatively universal so we are indeed trained in that.
I have a Shoei GT air, first thing I noticed is it's louder than my old Bell RS1. I also think the Bell had better ventilationon for hot days, less fog in visor. I'm disappointed in my move to Shoei and will go back to Bell next helmet.
I have an X14 as well and also adore it; however, the default configuration is a bit loud! You might want to look into the "Shoei Whisper Kit" - it's available in the EU only, so you'd need to swoop one off of ebay, but it's made a night and day difference in helmet noise.
Hi, I was wondering where you got the dark shield from. I've noticed that the different shade shields that Shoei offers don't have the Vortex generators on the edges like the stock clear shield. Yours is the only dark shield I have seen that actually has them but haven't seen a different part number for it. Thanks Chase for the great video!
My Shoei X12 has lasted way too long; love it. Excellent quality. Never had issues with ventilation, pinlock is great for rainy days. Interchangeable visors are handy on longer days. Would recommend thin metal arm glasses if anyone needs them as they'll flex easier. Wouldn't say Shoei are only decent ones. I found my head changed shape; a rounder head might suit an Arai better. I won't touch AGV again.
I was unfortunate enough to try it in a High side crash. I ve landed head first but apart from a mild headache and some deasiness that was it! The shell is useless but that s the purpose of a helmet! I ve ordered a new X14 two days later. It is light an quiet as well. Worth every peny!
Hey, fellow riders or will be riders - let every EMT, firefighter, and Doctor who might come across a wreck, know about the quick pulls on helmets. I know other shoei helmets, and likely others have them as well. It could be the difference between someone ending up paralized. My future father in law who's a firefighter, and a rider, didn't know about them until I showed him my helmet. (Rf 1200) he's since shared it with others across his city and its already potentially saved someone's life. Let's make it a common knowledge that's taught to all first responders!
ive had my shoei rf122 for 2 years now and swear by shoei. they are probably the best brand of helmets out there. my helmet goes on super easy and works perfect with my glasses
it needs to pass the sharp testing because i crashed recently in a agv k5s i barley felt any impact when i hit the ground and slid 15 feet on the helmet and I hit the curb with the back of the helmet and it save my life!!!! all i need is it to pass that testing and feel good and not a lot of wind noise when i turn my head and buffeting
Love my X-14, it was tight on the ears for the first few week, but thats probably because I transferred my Sena 20s the same day I bought the helmet. The helmet rides tight. Which is good and bad and doesn't loosen up too much either, but just enough to be comfortable after the break in period.
I have a couple of things I'd like to add. I've been using an X-fourteen for the past year: Wind noise: Very loud at highway speeds. It's recommended that you always wear earplug while riding, no matter what helmet you use. There is no special treatment for the X-14. Glasses: There is a glasses cutout. It's tricky to get your glasses in, but they will not move once they're in. Style: Plenty to choose from. Everything else, Chase nailed. I''ll answer any questions you have!
Love my x-14..super stable and excellent ventilation even at slower speed..got the gloss black even though I liked the look of the matte but was warned matte scratches easily.
Shoie are sweet ass helmets. I have a x12 and love it! High speeds and the wind is no issue. And it's super quiet for listening to my music. Also have a icon variant and it's garbage compared to my shoie. Wouldn't mind upgrading to the x14.
Chase check out the RPHA 11 Pro...super comfortable, only 3.2lbs...and awesome air flow as well...price is up there as well if you get the limited graphics editions like I did, but it comes with bother smoke and clear visors as well...good helmet...
I used to have a shoei gt air. Too hot, to much noise, too much movement with wind...only confortable when I was not riding my bike. Now I have a shark race-R pro, very good. But I'm alway looking for a helmet that should be as confortable as my old bell m5x without the noise. The bell m5x is awesome....noisy and rustic but so light! You should try it!
I have been using this helmet for the last 3 months and I really do like it. I bought this and a carbon fiber helmet and the weight distribution feels about the same even though this was just a few ounces heavier.
See if you can get your hands on a AGV Corsa. If your head tends more towards the oval side of intermediate oval, then you'll likely prefer the Corsa to the X14.
I just bought the matte black x14 today. I'm currently 16 and get my license in June but I'm ready to go. Now that I have made this purchase, I just need to save a little more to buy my first bike... 2007 sv650.
I had to get rid of my new-ish Shoei GT-Air that was purchased before I got glasses because they rise(they should be sitting lower) the same way as in your X-14. Purchased an Arai Corsair-X and problem is gone. Regardless, great helmet choice!
Icon is a weird helmet in so many ways. I find their sizing is "In-between". I wear a Medium in a Shoei, for Icon a Small is a bit too small and a Medium is slightly too big. That could be why his Icon is difficult to put on. And their graphics for the most part are kind of ugly lol. Awesome looking shell and shape to the helmets, but not a big fan of the graphics.
MotoBoy Nope, that's way too tight... like a full size or two too tight. You can get away with dropping one size to get a tighter fit. Like if you are a large going to a medium it should be not that much harder to put on, and should be ok if it's not uncomfortable, but if you go to a small, it'll be a struggle to put on like Chase's helmet. Also, if your face goes bright red putting it on, you are losing blood flow, which can give headaches and unnecessary pressure on your head which can cause fatigue while riding. Measure up, and get a helmet that fits those measurements, it's better that way believe me.
chase you came a long way brother. I remember the time you and your girlfriend broke up. I've been here since the beginning and it's great to see that your about to be the first motovloger to hit 1M subs. 👍 Inspirational man you are!!
Try out a scorpion exo r2000. Dot and Snell certified. Light, comfortable, and flows a ton of air. Best part, it is half the price. Not so sure that any icon variant is ever going to win any comfort/ air flow competitions.
I had an icon airframe that i thought i liked, until it started falling apart and i bought a shoei rf-1200. The difference was astounding. Most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. never going back.
I am crazy happy with my X-Twelve. That X-Fourteen looked too easy for you to put on. Wish I could get the Transitions face shield for mine; only available with the X-Fourteen and RF-1200.
Does it have speaker cut-outs? I've always heard the X-14 was more of a track focused helmet....and therefore set up for riding in the tuck, not upright like on a cruiser or a naked.
Rode up to 150mph and the X14 is the most steady helmet I've worn Had a highside at around 80-100mph land face first no headache Definitely worth the money
Hi Chase Really glad I just found your review as I used mine for the first time today in the UK. As you probably know here its called the X Spirit 3 over here. I didnt go far on the bike wearing it but when I got back home I started to wonder whether I should have felt more cooling air than I did and whether it was made for us spectacle wearers. After searching on here for reviews you are the only one that seems to have answered both of these questions. Clearly where you are its always going to be a lot hotter than over here and funnily enough I found putting on my spectacles easier than you did so an answer to both of my questions then. Given its so comfortable and I have the Marquez Motegi 2 TC version which is a great paint job I think your review has made me realise that its worth persevering with and keeping. Thanks for your video and guidance.
My favorite lid too. My friend has one and it's super super nice. Problem is it cost about $800 where I live. The RF-1200 is just as nice and quite reasonably priced.
I have a shoei helmet with the safe removal tging and here in germany the emergency meds that i talked to actually look for that when they see a motorcycle crash
The ends of arms on those safety glasses are bent in to grob onto your head, my perscription glasses have straight arms and as most glasses are like that it would be easyer to put them on with the helmet
Why does your variant fit so tight? I just bought a variant, and even though my head measured to fit a size medium, a medium is actually a little on the loose side for my liking. Now my Corsa on the other hand fits about as tight as your variant seems to. But just watching you put the variant on makes me think I shoulda went down a size
Could I use this helmet with a KTM690 Duke R, which has a very upright riding position ??? I know there's better choices for upright bikes, but the KTM branded X14 (or X Spirit 3 in the UK) looks awesome and totally matches the bike visually, thanks,
Have you tried the HJC Rphc 11 Pro? I recently bought it to replace my (crushed) Arai and it felt the same safety, quality and attention to detail of the Shoei...for a fraction of the price!!
I wish they would brand their helmets a bit more subtle... That white on the front is sticking out way too much compared on the line with the overall glossy black finish of the helmet.
As a paramedic, I can tell you that the average EMS provider will not know of the emergency release system. My suggestion would be to leave those little stickers on as long as you can.
I went to EMS basic back in 2015, and they briefly informed the class of the motorcycle helmet safety feature in which you can remove the helmet quickly and in a way it won't interfere with keeping the patients c spine straight; The EQRS system. EMS basic is the most basic course for becoming an Emergency Medical Technician, the next class is EMS Advanced, then Paramedic school comes after. So I wouldn't feel too worried about an emergency responder not knowing about the E.Q.R.S system. ;) However it is possible not everybody knows.... since it's a relatively new technology. But then again, EMT's and everyone else has to keep up with required Continuing Education courses to keep their certification, for new technologies like these to be known by first responders.
I was in a wreck with my Shoei RF1200 and instead of cutting the helmet off using the red strips, the paramedics did it the old fashioned way and cut my chin strap and slid the whole thing off. So you're right, not enough professionals are aware of Shoeis system.
Hay Chase if you ever get the chance try a arai corsair rx7 I own 3 and have tried many helmets just fell in love with the fit and finish, thank you for review on the shoe I really appreciate it.
Paramedics, in Australia at least, are all trained in how to remove helmets using the cheek pad release system on many helmets, so I'd assume the USA would be the same
CRDF Rider the neck rolls are a pita in some icons. theyre snug for security and comfort but once you get your crown past it the headspace is perfect..
Hey Chase I am a first responder and we are in fact trained to look for a eqrs when we make contact with motorcycle accident victims
No point pulling the helmet if there isn't an airway problem or vomiting. Just tape that shit down the board, let the doc in the ER make the call.
@@PsychoSmart yeah no prob you might get sued because you didn't c spine in a high mechanism of injury accident... Do your job dude.
Jaredcs199 uhh you can maintain cspine just fine with a helmet on, some 3 inch tape and a couple rolled up sheets or towels.
This is what it feels like to wear a real helmet, Chase. You've been wearing icon and not used to shoei quality. Shoei is head and shoulders above icon. I've always worn shoei. This is my next lid. Currently sporting the matte black rf-1200. Love it but x-14 is just too sexy to resist.

i got one and you wont regret it man! its literally a rf1200 with a bit more airflow and customizations to the liner AND the looks haha

Mello Saldivar-Anaya glad you made it out of that 👌
I like that you said...I will be getting another and didn't take the spill as time to quit riding!
If you do high speeds this helmet is for you! So stable even when you turn your head at 130 I have no regrets on my x-14 :D
The Muscle Biker bro I have an iicon, one time I was doing like 110, mistakenly turned my head, it hurted like 4 fcking days lol
Jerry Pham really lol
that's your 1st mistake you bought an Icon product, Icon is like Junk of the Junk and stupid prices
chaotic/Silence really? That was my very first helmet. To me, as long as it is full face and protect your head, that's good enough bro
Jerry Pham no it isn't! When you're half deaf and suffer from Tinnitus you'd say otherwise! With all respect, man!
As an EMS professional , I can tell you, most of us do know how to safely remove helmets and use the emergency systems to assist in removal.

Vortex generators in simple terms is bumps used on wings of aircrafts to reduce air friction.... To use it on helmets is extremely brilliant!!!!
This is the X-spirit III right? like your rf-1200 is named NRX here in europe
Yup, it is x14. Same name in malaysia, xspirit iii.
it would of been good to test on R6 (sport position) and your street triple (city, upright position) to see the difference. Good video though!
I have a X-12 Mark Marquez race replica and a X-14 Black with the Silver wings. I love the both.

So which one is better. Forgetting about the speakers
Because you asked, these are some of my top priorities when looking for a helmet lol
#1: Safety for obvious reasons.
What about wind noise, all my helmets are equipped with Senas? Is it loud or quiet?
I have a Arai Corsair X I love it! It was $880
I have an X14 as well and also adore it; however, the default configuration is a bit loud!
The one with the Vortex generators is called CWR-F.
Best helmet for glasses, any of the arai ones. I use a chaser-v and my glasses just effortlessly slide on
I rock the matte black RF-1200 with prescription glasses and I love it.
Finally... that's my helmet. I got the red marquez livery. Thanks chase
Yep. Been spending a lot of money on the top tier Shoei helmets for years now. Biggest things are comfort and slices through the wind at every angle.
Schuberth C3 Pro and Pista GP R are my favs. Have both and they are incredible
Love my X-14, it was tight on the ears for the first few week, but thats probably because I transferred my Sena 20s the same day I bought the helmet. The helmet rides tight. Which is good and bad and doesn't loosen up too much either, but just enough to be comfortable after the break in period.
Chase, the HJC RPHA 11 actually has glasses cutouts in it off the shelf. A little cheaper than the Shoei, and still super high quality!
I have a couple of things I'd like to add. I've been using an X-fourteen for the past year:
Wind noise: Very loud at highway speeds.
I just got an RF 1200. Love it! Quiet helmet most defiently. It's the red white and green helmet.
i have one of theses and its a great helmet period iv had it for about a 9 months now and still holds up
How is the wind noise
Rocket88 the best
Rocket88 I have a shoie x12 and there is hardly any wind noise. I'm sure the x14 is even better
Shoie are sweet ass helmets. I have a x12 and love it! High speeds and the wind is no issue. And it's super quiet for listening to my music. Also have a icon variant and it's garbage compared to my shoie. Wouldn't mind upgrading to the x14.
If you wear earplugs, you don't need to worry about wind noise
I have this helmet in matte black its awesome, best helmet ive ever used
Chase check out the RPHA 11 Pro...super comfortable, only 3.2lbs...and awesome air flow as well...price is up there as well if you get the limited graphics editions like I did, but it comes with bother smoke and clear visors as well...good helmet...
Have you tried the (Nolan) x-lite carbon x-803? Pretty competitive with this helmet. Good with glasses. Super light. Underpriced
That Icon Variant is way too tight... the Shoei fits you tons better
The tighter the better so long as it is not causing pain
MotoBoy Nope, that's way too tight... like a full size or two too tight. You can get away with dropping one size to get a tighter fit. Like if you are a large going to a medium it should be not that much harder to put on, and should be ok if it's not uncomfortable, but if you go to a small, it'll be a struggle to put on like Chase's helmet. Also, if your face goes bright red putting it on, you are losing blood flow, which can give headaches and unnecessary pressure on your head which can cause fatigue while riding. Measure up, and get a helmet that fits those measurements, it's better that way believe me.
Like I said, the safest fitting helmet is the one that fits most tightly without causing any pain.....
Always wanted to try them, they always felt and looked like solid helmets.
bakerXderek cheeeeaaaaaa!👌
Very solid. Get one. You won't regret it. Well worth the money.
it's worth it to spend the money on a good helmet.
Just picked one up. First impression is mind blown...in a good way
During my EMT course they mentioned the safety release helmet tabs and brought a helmet in to show us. I'm not sure if that experience is typical.
chase you came a long way brother. I remember the time you and your girlfriend broke up. I've been here since the beginning and it's great to see that your about to be the first motovloger to hit 1M subs. 👍 Inspirational man you are!!
My current helmet is an Icon Airframe Pro Ghost Carbon with a smoked visor and it was 650. So $85 more for a Shoei X14 isn't bad.
Try out a scorpion exo r2000. Dot and Snell certified. Light, comfortable, and flows a ton of air. Best part, it is half the price. Not so sure that any icon variant is ever going to win any comfort/ air flow competitions.
That's a $1000 helmet here in Canada. You got the helmet and shield for less than a rf-1200 (with graphic) here.
Source: I work at a dealer
I had an icon airframe that i thought i liked, until it started falling apart and i bought a shoei rf-1200. The difference was astounding. Most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. never going back.
I am crazy happy with my X-Twelve. That X-Fourteen looked too easy for you to put on. Wish I could get the Transitions face shield for mine; only available with the X-Fourteen and RF-1200.
Does it have speaker cut-outs? I've always heard the X-14 was more of a track focused helmet....and therefore set up for riding in the tuck, not upright like on a cruiser or a naked.
yes
Rode up to 150mph and the X14 is the most steady helmet I've worn
Had a highside at around 80-100mph land face first no headache
Definitely worth the money
I would like to see you compare this to the Bell Race Star helmet.
OMG... Your facial expression (with sighing) when you were about to wear ICON VARIANT just cracked me up.... hahaha.. Thank you !!!
I got that exact helmet x14 my only complaint is it’s loud .. lot of wind noise even with custom earplugs
The ends of arms on those safety glasses are bent in to grob onto your head, my perscription glasses have straight arms and as most glasses are like that it would be easyer to put them on with the helmet
Can you do this with the shoei RF1200 too?
Try the bell race star flex DLX as your next lid. Just as magical of an experience
love the sound effects when trying to put on the glasses
Why does your variant fit so tight? I just bought a variant, and even though my head measured to fit a size medium, a medium is actually a little on the loose side for my liking. Now my Corsa on the other hand fits about as tight as your variant seems to. But just watching you put the variant on makes me think I shoulda went down a size
PLEASE make a video on how to install a sena into the shoei x-14!
Not sure if BOKEH or backdrop green screen :/ feeling confused until you went to get glasses to try on. Great video! Shoei ftw!
The less air friction is what allowed you to move your head around more with no pressure on your head/neck
Easy for you to say when it's in US dollars. With the dark visor thrown in it would be about $1200 approximately here.
Could I use this helmet with a KTM690 Duke R, which has a very upright riding position ??? I know there's better choices for upright bikes, but the KTM branded X14 (or X Spirit 3 in the UK) looks awesome and totally matches the bike visually, thanks,
Is there a video comparing Bell, Shoei and Arai as well as their transitions shields ???
Have you tried the HJC Rphc 11 Pro? I recently bought it to replace my (crushed) Arai and it felt the same safety, quality and attention to detail of the Shoei...for a fraction of the price!!
Just got myself a mat black one. By the way it is called the X Spirit 3 here in Europe
This video was well done, much better than the titanium gauntlet video lol. Good job dude!
How do you wear glasses with the variant? I can't fit any inside without squeezing them really tight.
No!!! Now I want a new helmet. My wife isn't going to be happy...#C2Warmy
Silent J you (or I) could totally win a helmet from the WBR drawing, and I'm sure we could choose this
I was in a wreck with my Shoei RF1200 and instead of cutting the helmet off using the red strips, the paramedics did it the old fashioned way and cut my chin strap and slid the whole thing off. So you're right, not enough professionals are aware of Shoeis system.
I want to see your opinion on the shoei neotec modular helmet. I am in love with mine
Would you recommend this helmet to be quite enough to block a loud exhaust?
Always wanted one but sad is they don’t make it in my size 3XL-4XL 😒
Hay Chase if you ever get the chance try a arai corsair rx7 I own 3 and have tried many helmets just fell in love with the fit and finish, thank you for review on the shoe I really appreciate it.
I crashed off a cliff at 300+ mph.
My body died but my head luckily made it cuz I was wearing this helmet
11/10 recommend
I really got into Ruroc and they are super good quality and probably the best in style-wise currently.
Ruroc is garbage lol, coworker has one and compared to my Shoei and Arai they are junk.
Paramedics, in Australia at least, are all trained in how to remove helmets using the cheek pad release system on many helmets, so I'd assume the USA would be the same
Why the hell did you have so much trouble putting your Variant on? are you sure you have the correct size?
CRDF Rider the neck rolls are a pita in some icons. theyre snug for security and comfort but once you get your crown past it the headspace is perfect..
yea. like alpine stars gloves
