Lovely Plavka on vocals. This kind a psychedelic ethno oriented stuff was a huge thing in the very early 1990's. Too sad that this kind of music and videos is not done anymore nowadays...
Andrew Shields The Shamen AHHHH! I loved the 1990s I have their albums and this never gets old! Hyperreal is my favorite and Move Any Mountain, Lightspan, and this brings back memories for me I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter what kind of a day I am having it sure is nice to hear this and to see this. There are at least two parts to Plavka Lonich's charm here, a) she is relaxed when she is dancing and she is a good dancer and b) she smiles with her eyes. The keyboard sounds very pleasing and I especially like the vocal polyphony and harmonies when Plavka is singing and the broken chords accompanying the singing. In every verse he is saying the same thing but who cares?!
+Aimee Adesso He drowned during the filming of the video for `move any mountain `. He had some bottles of liquid MDMA with him, supposedly went for a swim and was never seen again.
Will Sinnott (born 23rd December 1960) joined The Shamen in October 1987 as the bassist. He was influential in The Shamen's switch from psychedelic indie rock to the electronic sound they found fame with. In May 1991, The Shamen travelled to the Canary Islands to record the video for the chart-bound reissue of Pro>Gen (now titled Move Any Mountain). On the 23rd May, with the video completed, Will Sinnott decided to go for a swim off the coast of Gomera, near Tenerife. In the hazardous waters, he was pulled under by a strong current and drowned. He was aged 30.
Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Lauren Mayberry, Billy Connolly, Sean Connery, Duncan MacLeod of the clan MacLeod (TV version) . The Shamen are David Moyes level at best.
Don't you hate when you forget a Tune and then suddenly many many years later you come across again and you OMG I remember this lmao - this brought memories back :)
@@suzanacuravic love that!! I collected a lot of thier releases as a teenager when they were released… still collecting today Ebay/ record shops.. Shamen are amazing and should re release for Record Store Day?!!
"Hyperreality emphasizes the main idea of reality and an imaginary construct merged, a blending of reality and signs of reality, where the latter represents realistically the former. There is no clear indication of where the real stops and the imaginary signs of a simulation representing reality begin. Hyperreality refers to something that does not actually exist. However, experiencing hyperreality may be so intense and realistic that one may confuse, even for brief moments, what is real and what is not real" From -Hyperreality and Virtual Worlds- 1993. This sounded like BS in the 90´s to people not aware of experimental technologies specially virtual reality. But now in 2023, 30 years later, we are starting to see how hyperreality will transform everything.
I had the mini CD of 'Move any mountain' and this was technically the B side. I actually prefer this one. Same as 'Bomb the Bass' 'Don't make me wait' had 'MegaBlast' as the B side.
No wonder. In those years the armies of producers behind Madonna, Kylie, and other superstars were shamelessly skimming the club music. Like Opus III's Fine day in Kylie's Confide In Me. "You can't afford a lawyer against us" approach.
| worked on this music video back in the day. I was a Prop man. some of the "paint" used was actual semen because we could not get hold of paint that would not cause harm.
Can you actually see him? Good! Dad's at home, the guy over there ain't him! Listen carefully. Tell my father to stay in his room till I get back tonight... Just tell him I might have a surprise for him. I tell you what - I'm boiling! That's strange, that. I mean, here you are in a tropical climate, wearing a worsted polyester blue serge suit and you feel hot?
Still fresh in 2021, great band the Shamen, never tire of them, transcends the decades ✌️😎
Still listening in '21

I guess it depends where you look. Soundcloud has infinite music
It’s not the same, but early GTBSG was very fun. Recommend BLADEE - Carwash
This is a tune... Early deep house ....
The music still works wonders for me!

My gosh, I love this music so much. Always gives me hyperreal sonic feelings.
It's so good
RIP Will Sinnott greatly missed.
+Lee G When did this Happen????? The Shamen were the shit! HOLY COW
+Aimee Adesso He drowned during the filming of the video for `move any mountain `.
He had some bottles of liquid MDMA with him, supposedly went for a swim and was never seen again.
He passed through to the other side
He wasn't a very nice guy, most of the Aberdeen lads left the band because of him.

Loved The Shamen... but take a bow Sir Billy Orbit.. you transformed this into a masterpiece..
I never but should have realised. That guy is a genius!
Oh Plavka you gorgeous minx! I loved you with Jam and Spoon’s “Right in the Night” too.
What a track and a video, simply never gets old ❤❤❤
Revisiting this track has been very interesting... more layers than I realised, the way Plavka sustains her notes, really nice x.
Beautiful track ❤
Colin Angus is a genius.
What a piece of work. Job done.
Thanks for getting this beautifully polished version of the video into the public domain.
My first lsd trip along with these tunes, harmonising. fantasising, the only way to go, let's do it...

Probably the greatest thing ever to come out of Scotland and that's no joke.
Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Lauren Mayberry, Billy Connolly, Sean Connery, Duncan MacLeod of the clan MacLeod (TV version) . The Shamen are David Moyes level at best.
A SAID WEE MAN The Grand Theft Auto games were made in Scotland, Originally in Dundee before moving to Edinburgh
Nah I think the Cocteau Twins were the best thing to ever come out of Scotland personally.
A SAID WEE MAN Limbo/23rd Precinct weren't half bad. Skelph!
A SAID WEE MAN Cocteau Twins are actually the best thing from Scotland.
thank goodness i'm not the only one who knows this band! thanks mum!!

Will Sinnott and Plavka....best of the best.
I used to have a huge poster of Plavka on my wall - thanks MixMag, happy days :)
This is the Shamen at their best, you can't beat the original line up. In later years they became predictably commercial.

Imagine del bopping to it in his whistle 😅
Fucking classic n shamens Best song by far
Uno de mis preferidos de The Shamen, lindo video pero muy cortado el audio con respecto al original!
ずっと聞いてました。
Pretty consistent ratings on this one. hope you have a really good stereo.
Blink.....10 years..........
🎶💕
Do you think this is anything to do with psychedelic substances ?
This is Psychedelic house music so yeah
Only a couple of the mystery tunes from Monrose 1990 tapes left to identify. Now if only I could find the ‘come on take me up… take me up now…’
Is it 'Take me Up' by Basement Phil?
Only fools and horses. Miami Twice episode when Del boy and rodney are in the club. Lovely Jubley!
Hyperreal man
I had the mini CD of 'Move any mountain' and this was technically the B side. I actually prefer this one. Same as 'Bomb the Bass' 'Don't make me wait' had 'MegaBlast' as the B side.
it's a tightrope, empower the individual and heal the atomised civilisation, not balancing but drowning.....
wheres Plavka now? is she well - hope so, much loive x
Aberdeen's finest
I,d certainly listen to them before Annie Lennox or Emeli Sande.
Leave our Annie alone.

ahe still is so hot! track classic
Is that a wee Ishtar badge behind her heed at the end?
On lsd 200mg rn this is just something else
I've never taken drugs but this song is probably better than being on drugs.
Only fools & horses sent me here
Remixed by genius William Orbit! 💥
My No.42 tune of my top 50 of 1991
you look insane. .good on yah..im insane too
Was this before Mr C joined the band
Yes
Didnt know Plavka sang for them!
The percussion break sounds like electronic get the message.
RIP Will
Is the woman singing part of the group? She's hot
Slow the First 17 seconds and it sounds like Madonna's Justify My Love
Good point. William Orbit connection maybe?
Released about 5 months afterwards.
No wonder. In those years the armies of producers behind Madonna, Kylie, and other superstars were shamelessly skimming the club music. Like Opus III's Fine day in Kylie's Confide In Me.
"You can't afford a lawyer against us" approach.
She looks a lot like Counselor Troi from Star Trek: The next generation.
Make it make it so, make it so every time :P
похоже слегка на Electrostatic

Plavka has a look of Nigella Lawson about her, or is it the other way round ?/
So did 2 Unlimited copy The Shamen or did The Shamen copy 2 Unreal.
Choooon
