They did the biggest mistake possible, going from a decent pen stylus, to an abysmal mid stylus tech. What a shame. That thing had a great potential, hopefully they acknowledge their mistake and make a version with Wacom EMR.
E-ink generally isn't something you want to buy if you want to have color accuracy or frame rate (as far as I know), but one thing it does very well is saving energy. Each pixel stays at a color permanently until it is forced to change, even if there is no battery left or if the screen is removed from the device. There are merits to that, but I'm not in that specific market at all.
I work in the anim industry, and I always appreciate your tech reviews. Most other reviews just show some scribbles but you actually spend the time to do a full sketch! I have a Kobo Sage and the stylus and software lag so much when I get a few mins into a drawing, which was mentioned in almost no reviews as everyone just scribbled quickly. Keep up the solid work!
A fun mini e-ink sketchpad option is the SuperNote Nomad, which is an oversized A6 tablet. It has layers, and its own drawing app (Atelier) and is so easy to take with you. It's not got a frontlight, but it uses ceramic nibs (you don't need to replace) on a Wacom EMR pen and feels like drawing with a fineliner. I'm really enjoying mine. I'm attracted by the rM Paper Pro, but holding off.

The Remarkable 2 or Paper Pro is not really an artist tool. They don't market it as such. But they do show off the color with drawing as a red arrow or blue circle to draw your attention text just doesn't have any pop:)! But if you are a professional who loves to write vs type, and you want a bit more organization than you get with a paper pad, or other paper based system (notebook, journals, etc) the Remarkable devices are outstanding. I have the Remarkable 2 and love it. Have had it more than a year. But the Remarkable 2 lacks one feature I wanted -- COLOR. I work in IT and PDFs typically have color diagrams. I review lots of network designs which are typically distributed to the larger group as a PDF vs a Visio file. And while I can choose a color pen with my remarkable 2, since it all shows as gray scale on the tablet, you can accidentally be using the wrong color pen and never realize it until you open the PDF on a computer. So I can't wait to get my Paper Pro. It provides the one thing I wish the Remarkable 2 had -- Color. And I have an iPad Pro, laptops, PCs, etc. Want I need is a digital writing device that feels like paper, CHECK, allows me to organize, CHECK, allows me to access the files on my phone, desktop/laptop, CHECK, and allows me to have all of my pads, notes, annotated PDFs in cloud based folder based system. LOVE IT! But I don't draw, and if you do anything serious, and you are looking for a drawing device, this is probably not the right fit. It is for people who want to simply digitize their note taking the most natural manner, handwriting.
It sounds like the PineNote might be something to look into once they get the interface more consumer ready. It's a linux desktop rendered on e-ink so apps like Obsidian run native and you aren't trapped in a walled garden.
For those wondering about the math here: this is the reMarkable Paper Pro ($500) + Marker Plus ($130) + Mosaic Weave Folio ($140) + Bundle Discount (-$20) = $750 USD. If you go for the stylus without the eraser and skip on the case it's $500 + $80

Same. I have an original ReMarkable. My husband almost forced me to buy one when I was writing my second novel. I hand-write all my edits and I was behind on my deadlines, and he was stuck typing in my handwriting. He told me he loved me but was never doing that again. 😂 I’d decided to use my iPad and a writing app, but HE didn’t like the feel of it and thought I wouldn’t use it as much. Now I use it for that and to replace the 50-11million pads of paper running amok in my house from my lawyer day job. Because I bought mine so close in time to ReMarkable 2, I skipped that one. All I want is a backlight and the ability to highlight text, on a slightly larger screen than the original.
I feel like with all these limitations, you’d be better off just with an artist sketchbook, and whatever pens, pencils or brushes you want. There is no flashing or lag when you are drying on paper, lol. You can buy a lot of sketchbooks for the price of this tablet and you can sell your original art too.
Yu r right. They wil push their products down your throat and make you feel bad for not buying. I feel better with papers than tablets when it comes to writing and painting.
I have this and an iPad Pro and I think a lot of people fail to see that they do not replace each other. The use of a pure e-ink device without android it is very niche, but we are more than a few that use this thing or a similar one for hours most days.
Good luck removing AI "helpers", no one asked for from ANY DEVICE these days that isn't designed to have it. They integrate it into their systems so it can't be removed at all. No thanks.
Hey Brad great review. I think this is a pretty cool tool, or at least something like it. Im currently working on my first comic (thank you for the inspiration!) and something like this would be great to jot down mental notes that pop up throughout the day, or to maybe even write your story out and use it as reference. I just wish the prices for something like this were a little better, as where the use cases may be great, as limiting as they are, it is hard to justify the cost for what it does.
Yeah. Ive tried a few of these kinds of tablets (my first was the Slate several years back) and once I have the thing and start using it, every time I just think "......why not just pen and paper and take a photo or scan it" I absolutely love the convenience and fun of these things, but like you said, the price is often just too much for what you get
Its pretty easy to get the docs from the tablet. They have a desktop app and a phone app to download and/or send the notes. If you use the app you can download the notebook pages individually or all together. It saves as a PDF, but it would be nice to have other options. If you need the text you can copy and paste from the reMarkable app into other apps. You can also connect your Google drive or Dropbox and sync through there.
remarkable 2 if that’s all you’re looking to do. I just bought one and I’m happy with it. I originally purchased a scribe but canceled it before it arrived simply because I don’t need the distractions like web browsing and reading. You can hack/modify the remarkable to do those things if you really want too but if your looking to just have a clean note environment and have an alternative to pen and paper then I can recommend the remarkable 2. It’s expensive but as long as it makes it over 2 years of use it will end up saving me money over buying notebooks as usual.
Hello, I don't know if I got things right about exporting the files to the computer (around the 14th minute). I use ReMarkable 2 and have their app on my computer for syncing. Here I can see all the files and can view them in color and export them from here. The tablet does not need to be connected to the computer. Everything is online. I can also mirror the tablet screen during an online meeting through the app, which is useful.
I'm a Remarkable 2 fan. My desk used to be covered with paper, notes taken while on Zoom calls, notes from previous calls, and notes preparing for upcoming calls. The Remarkable 2 takes care of all that more. During the call, I have my Remarkable app on my computer monitor to view previous notes and my tablet in front of me to take new ones. I love the texture of the screen and writing on it feels good. The pen is perfect for my needs. It's a device I enjoy. I don't even use all the features it this older version offers. Please don't go adding stuff until you ruin it. Many purchasers are like me and don't need sophisticated graphic art capabilities.
13:20 a trick is to use the move tool in stead of the eraser: circle the parts you want to delete, then cut and clear clipboard and it’s gone. This works for lines that overlap etc, so use the eraser to remove areas of the page and move tool to erase parts. 13:50 not quite right. You’re right, in the browser you can’t look at files or export, but you can from any of the apps: mobile or desktop. You can export as PDF from mobile and as PDF/PNG/SVG from desktop, and for typed text you can highlight and copy the text from either. The browser is the only place you can’t do that, and is that really an issue? My workflow is generally to only send as email if I want to send it to someone else, if not I’ll grab it either from mobile or desktop: it’s just less hassle. You’re also slightly off on cloud storage: there are integrations with OneDrive, Dropbox etc, so you can see those files from your device and copy them from RM to storage, or vice versa. You can’t work directly on your files within for instance Dropbox though, and that is a big issue. All round I agree that this is an upgrade vs the RM2, and while it has its shortcomings I’ll still keep using the Pro as much as I have the RM1/RM2, which is a lot. It is not for everyone though, as with anything else.
i just found out about remarkable a few days ago and thought it would make for a great tool to write notes for the classes im in. i have a medical condition that makes writing and drawing on traditional paper difficult and results in the joints in my fingers and wrist inflaming very quickly. i still get inflammation writing and drawing on a tablet, but it takes a lot longer to get to that point.
Have you looked at the TCL nxtpaper tablets? They claim to have a new kind of screen technology that looks like e-ink but has the color and refresh rate of an LCD. Some of the tablets also have a pen if I recall
Thank you again for a wonderful balanced review of an e-ink device. I'm an e-ink nut and it's really great to see a review that doesn't have those e-ink fan biases as well as a real user. But, also doesn't try to run like, UA-cam on an e-ink device (others, not this one of course). Enjoyed your review immensely.
When you record the any product review video camera should be put on Mnaual focus as the focus oscillations made me question if the problem was with the tablet pulling the information on the screen or if it was a focus wobble... I assume it was focus. But you can have better quality video with manual focus on product shots. Cheers.
Ha, interestingly, Remarkable advertise this with the following statement: "Zero wobbles: You won’t experience any jittery lines or frustrating glitches, just smooth, natural writing and sketching."
im in yr 10 and i qanted to get a remarkable 2 to write me notes, but my parents told me to wait for my senior years. I liked the remarkbale 2 but obviously it lacked features like color. Now the year is almost over and now i just found out about the remarkable paper pro and damn guess patience rlly is key😂
Finally!!! Thank you for pointing out that this minimal take actually hinders things to a degree that hurts its overall mission especially at this price. This device is beautiful but it’s sooo anemic in its support that you can’t use it easily for things you would like to use this screen for (like writing and reading)! If there was some kind of word document app integration or reading app integration this thing would be great but at its price I cannot justify it. It definitely makes me love my Boox Note Air 3C even more and this review definitely made me feel confident in my purchase. Thank you! 😊👍
I was considering a purchase, but the software hurdling is a deal beaker for me. If they would simply allow Google Docs I'd buy it, but I already have a Samsung Ultra phone and though the writing experience is not as good as the Remarkable, I can still open Google Docs, Samsung Notes, and even MS Word and save to a myriad of extensions to boot. I was hoping for something that has the old school feel of paper but advance enough to be integrated into my digital workflow and -for the reasons you stated- doesn't meet my needs either. Appreciate you sharing.
Solid review Brad! I agree 100% the pen is a downgrade, however the feel has improved a lot. I'm still not sold on the color as I rarely use it for notetaking, but I am enjoying it a bit for sketching. Nice art btw!
Brad, I mentioned wanting to see this video on Kit Betts-Masters' livestream the other day, thank you for doing it. I am curious if you have been sent a unit by Supernote? I know it is not a color device, but I have been thinking about taking your course to learn how to draw and you mention being able to just use paper. I have a Supernote and they have a dedicated (although monochrome) paint app called Atelier with a Wacom stylus. Thanks for all you do, love the channel.
Let me guess, like the Remarkable II, they hid some of the most valuable features behind a subscription service. Something that no UA-cam reviewer ever mentions, and I only discovered while digging deep into their website.
Thanks for writing this. Nearly bought one, but for that price I expect all the features without an additional subscription. Guess gonna get just a normal tablet then
@@Mimi-sg6fe I settled on getting a low-end Microsoft Surface Pro 9 (only 8GB RAM). But, I got it at Best Buy, as an "open box" item for only $616. Then I bought the keyboard for it for only $84 (also open box). Now, the Slim Pen 2 stylus is another $110 - $130. But, then, for $830 you have an actual windows computer, that is also a really great drawing tablet. (Your discounts may vary.)
@bradcolbow - Great review. Wanted to add a note to what you were saying about USI stylus. I don't believe that the USI stylus is the problem. USI doesn't make a stylus have jitter or not have jitter. That has to do with the display/digitizer and some other factors. The USI protocol is a standard made with and by a lot of the best out there (including Wacom). So just like the slim pen 2 uses MPP as do a bunch of crappy knock off's. The Slim Pen 2 is great, some of the knock off's AWFUL!! I just wanted to point this out as I'm a fan of what USI is doing and the jitter isn't because USI is used, but rather because it wasn't implemented optimally. On the software side, I agree on the limitations being limitations here. If it was something they were actively developing specific apps to rival the apps we want to use (aka, onenote or procreate/clip studio) that would be one thing. But I also need an ecosystem. I don't want to copy info back and forth.
You don't have to email anything to get it off the device, definitely not. I do this every day with my RM2. Just use the desktop app. Please correct this!
It's hard to justify for a lot of people, but the way I saw it when I got the Remarkable 2 was that it was the price of 20 notebooks. As someone who used to draw a lot I didn't get the cheapest notebooks because they had fliimsy paper so the notebooks cost a little more and the Remarkable 2 would last way longer than 20 notebooks and take up way less space. The Remarkable Pro costs more so harder to justify, but there is a market where it makes sense.
9:59 ~ refresh rate up? For anyone interested, watch that thing update when multiple colors are being drawn with at the same time. It's not good from other videos I've seen showing it.
Fair review. It lacks integration! I am a boox and microsoft user, and both integrate beautifully, and sync to my laptop through onedrive. It's great. Remarkable should think about his, because the hardware is just wonderful.
I love the fact everything is automatically available on paired devices. Phone, Laptop, tablet and displayed in more vivid colour. Not sure u point this out
So it seems cheaper and better to get a paper notebook for sketching and annotating ideas, and then adding an iPad for transferring those sketches and notes into digital form
you don't have to send everything yourself via email. it is possible to export all you want right from the remarkable app on your computer! so, pretty bad job to not noticing that!
Could you take a look at the TCL NXTPAPER tablets? I've been thinking about getting one but none of the reviews I found were for drawing specifically. Thank you :)
Ahhhh... The "Universal Stylus Initiative" (USI) was once a faint point of light on the horizon. I remember being excited about it back in.., 2008! It was SLOW to arrive. And now... meh. Now.., The Daylight Computer.., now THAT is something to get excited about.
Surely they would have an app that can be downloaded to other devices and all of your work could be automatically synced to the cloud and accessible on anything else… surely!
Thanks for the pro review, you really make me to think twice before buy this thing ))) But as for me it would be very useful even without colors, I would like to have it for writing chinese and to make quick notes, sketches or something else you are doing on the paper when you just need to put your thoughts there.
I use a Boox Nova 3 Color for reading books, comics, and manga. The ability to just download kindle, hoopla, and libby, as well as reading PDF's and Epubs is great. It's an Android tablet, so you can just read from a web browser if you want to. The color models have an overlay that darken the screen in order to display color, so I keep the backlight on most of the time, but battery life is okay. The Remarkable seems to do color way better than the Boox though. I kind of regret buying a color model. I had hoped to read manwa and webtoons, but failed to take into account how annoying the constant vertical scrolling would be on a slow e-ink screen. Comics alone are not worth the extra price and a dimmer screen on an e-reader. I would stick to a greyscale model for the time being. I don't really draw or write on my Boox tablet, but the pen has something I have never used anywhere else.... You can flip it over and use the eraser end.... as an eraser. That alone is worth many points in it's favor.
I keep thinking I'll see one of these reviews and the e-paper drawing tablets like this will have overcome most of their limitations and drawbacks. I mean I get that you're not going to be watching color video on an OLED quality screen fine. I actually love the look of e-ink both black and white and color. I still see very little to drag me away from my Galaxy ultra and S-Pen. Maybe in 5 years? But I've been saying that for about 10 years.
well i was about to purchase this today but i learned i cant even read my mails. reading mail is not a luxury or cant be considered as distraxting me from my work. its a part of my work i draw take notes and share with others this is not for me
You get more from an iPad and at a cheaper price, just get a paper film screen protector, only download note apps, turn off every distraction in your ipad, get a dupe apple pencil and voila, you have the same thing
Wrong information: you can’t get files off without email…not correct…To transfer documents from a reMarkable Paper Pro to your mobile or desktop, you need to use the reMarkable cloud service (or Dropbox or Google Docs or One Drive by syncing your device with the desktop or mobile app, which allows you to access and download your documents across all connected devices via Wi-Fi; essentially, you can just open the app and access your files to download them as needed.
Samsung had this kind of keayboard inside a cover for like 10 years ago.... It was just GREAT. Sure, maybe not that slim, not that öight, but it way 2010-like....
So everything that leaves this device goes through their email servers? What does the licensing look like? Gmail reads your emails for marketing to you doesn't it? What does this company do?
Yes you can export, I use the desktop app all the time with the RM2. Yes you have layers in the RM2 (you didn't remember). You are talented, but this review was a bit lazy. Do some research before just saying random stuff. Love your channel, this review just wasn't as good as your usual quality.
Almost like maybe he is in the back pocket of competition who doesn't want this product that doesn't addict or overstimulate users to not become a thing.
Correct opinions Brad. Agree entirely re: the Wacom vs this pen! I think you are right about the ecosystem thing, it would be a great workflow for you if you could do the pencil sketch on rM given it's limitations, and then ink and colour on the Samsung S10 or other pro drawing. But it would just frustrate you to export and import into different software! Have you used the SVG export much, is that useful for your work? Glad you are still using the Boox Note Air, says a lot about that experience!
Hardware Yea Software Nah Is not the worst position to be in. If they’re actively making the software better, it’s a significantly better position than terrible hardware, terrible feeling writing but great software. They can’t actively fix your bad hardware Also, I wish you could go into the ecosystem a little more. It wasn’t quite clear the trouble you were having getting your files or putting books on it. It sounded like the only way to push and retrieve anything on the device was through their web interface? There is no hookup to one’s local computer?
I don't think they're targeting artists with these, though. These are advertised heavily to students and white-collar workers, so drawing and inking capabilities aren't priorities for their market. I teach both social studies and art. I recommend the reMarkable in my academic classes and other devices to my art students.
Isn't this review sort of missing the point of the tablet? It's not meant to be for reading books, audio books, drawing or whatever else you use an iPad for.
definately a no for me, I will stick with my Sony ebook for books (6 years old at least), and I just got an old/used ipad(2021) for drawing, which works great. Thanks.
It's not a sketchbook, it's a note book with the ability to draw
Amen, not looking for a drawing tablet, I have an ipad. Looking for a solid note taking device. Apples/oranges.
Well Remarkable advertise it as.... "you can take deeper notes, draw detailed sketches", sketchbook seems legit use-case
They did the biggest mistake possible, going from a decent pen stylus, to an abysmal mid stylus tech.
What a shame. That thing had a great potential, hopefully they acknowledge their mistake and make a version with Wacom EMR.
it feels totally fine, even great IMO
The worst part to me is there’s no book / manga ecosystem and everything has DRM these days
wtf are you talking about.
@@zycane feels amazing

Yeah, the price and the fact that it doesn't support a lot of type files was a no for me.

this is a really cool idea! I hope they continue to improve in their tech!
I feel like with all these limitations, you’d be better off just with an artist sketchbook, and whatever pens, pencils or brushes you want. There is no flashing or lag when you are drying on paper, lol. You can buy a lot of sketchbooks for the price of this tablet and you can sell your original art too.
Sorry, drawing, not drying!
Yu r right. They wil push their products down your throat and make you feel bad for not buying. I feel better with papers than tablets when it comes to writing and painting.
Yeah exactly this I'll never understand the point of these devices. From what I get all it is is just an Android tablet but worse
Android but less performance explaines these devices
Intergration to onedrive and google drive has been there for a long time for remarkable. Import/export.
indeed, also through the remarkable app too.
I have this and an iPad Pro and I think a lot of people fail to see that they do not replace each other. The use of a pure e-ink device without android it is very niche, but we are more than a few that use this thing or a similar one for hours most days.
Not everyone wants something with a bunch of bloatware. They want something SIMPLE. On top of no AI bs
Good luck removing AI "helpers", no one asked for from ANY DEVICE these days that isn't designed to have it. They integrate it into their systems so it can't be removed at all. No thanks.
A tablet that you can read, sketch and no annoying notifications and distractions is one of the biggest selling points for me.
Kindle Scribe is still an option
Give a try to a normal sketchbook
Have you heard of physical notebooks
I don't like pen and paper for those wondering. I don't really like sketching. A tablet allows me to copy and paste, use layers and things like that.
@@gormauslander If you have a lot of notes that you take, having a digital medium that you can literally search is invaluable.
Yeah, this fits a very narrow market. I think and iPad or Android tablet is really the way to go for most folks.
Yeah. Ive tried a few of these kinds of tablets (my first was the Slate several years back) and once I have the thing and start using it, every time I just think "......why not just pen and paper and take a photo or scan it"
I absolutely love the convenience and fun of these things, but like you said, the price is often just too much for what you get
Its pretty easy to get the docs from the tablet.
Which e-writer would you recommend if all I want to do is create notes and mark up pdf’s and word docs and easily transfer them to my pc?
remarkable 2 if that’s all you’re looking to do.
Hello,
I don't know if I got things right about exporting the files to the computer (around the 14th minute). I use ReMarkable 2 and have their app on my computer for syncing. Here I can see all the files and can view them in color and export them from here. The tablet does not need to be connected to the computer. Everything is online.
I can also mirror the tablet screen during an online meeting through the app, which is useful.
good info. thank you
This is the best review. I drew the same conclusion about exporting/inporting, and decided this device wasn't for me.
Yeah but isn’t it only available thru Verizon with a data plan?
The 10 inch or 12 inch one is i think, but they have one or two available elsewhere that don't have data, and don't require a data plan
That keyboard pull out system needs to happen in the Android and iPad universe as well. So convenient!!
Great review, but one fix - You can export from the Remarkable desktop app just fine...
I’m concerned that if I import and annotate an ePub or PDF I won’t be able to export it?
im in yr 10 and i qanted to get a remarkable 2 to write me notes, but my parents told me to wait for my senior years.
Thank you! 😊👍
The device is marketed as a paper replacement. Never anything else. ... paper doesn't have features. 😊
since it has a front light now, how is the air gap?
I was considering a purchase, but the software hurdling is a deal beaker for me. If they would simply allow Google Docs I'd buy it, but I already have a Samsung Ultra phone and though the writing experience is not as good as the Remarkable, I can still open Google Docs, Samsung Notes, and even MS Word and save to a myriad of extensions to boot.
I was hoping for something that has the old school feel of paper but advance enough to be integrated into my digital workflow and -for the reasons you stated- doesn't meet my needs either. Appreciate you sharing.
Thanks for the great review as always
One of the most honest review for RMPP
I don't think I'll ever be able to afford a ReMarkable, but I think it's so cool how far this tech has come and would really love one.
Tbh it isn't really worth the money
@@marielcarey4288 Almost no tech is worth $800, to be honest?
I am curious about these Tablets because Katsuya Terada uses one in his IPad Workflow
Nice review but you should show us how RM Paper Pro backlight looks in low light condition
I think they also have a mobile app
do you use screen protectors?
Hey Brad, what happened to the outro music? I used to dance like baby Groot at the end of every video
no one cares
It’s not true, that you can’t export the files via the remarkable App or desktop app. You can! It’s not necessary to email a file, in order to use it.
Can you download things to it like word searches and books?
Too much price so yeah nobody other than rich people and enthusiasts are going to buy this.
@@sa-mp5iw but those are full featured working device for full performance drawing apps at >16" screen size for that price point
@@sa-mp5iw plus the almost $200 pen and you're already on iPad Pro territory
9:59 ~ refresh rate up? For anyone interested, watch that thing update when multiple colors are being drawn with at the same time. It's not good from other videos I've seen showing it.
Love the Boox Note Air3 c- I hope they release a Go10.3 c
Fair review. It lacks integration! I am a boox and microsoft user, and both integrate beautifully, and sync to my laptop through onedrive. It's great. Remarkable should think about his, because the hardware is just wonderful.
The non-cloud interface is what holding me from buying this for academic purposes. I wish you could connect it to google drive.
You can, this was wrong in the review. It integrates with Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.
Thank you for doing this! 🎉
I love the fact everything is automatically available on paired devices. Phone, Laptop, tablet and displayed in more vivid colour. Not sure u point this out
What would be the cheapest and biggest bang for your buck if you are just starting out??? What would be a good one???
A Kindle Scribe on sale is certainly the best bang for buck
Im buying if it is full a4 size. But it is a bit smaller than that. That annoys me to buy it.
Excellent review!
Redmi pad pro 5g for note and lite sketch or art?
So it seems cheaper and better to get a paper notebook for sketching and annotating ideas, and then adding an iPad for transferring those sketches and notes into digital form
Is ipad mini 7 gonna drop this month or next ? Pls review it...
“The philosophy of minimalism crashes into the reality of getting things done.”
It really depends on what you're trying to get done, mind you.
I wish they made one half that size. I just need an versatile electronic notepad..
I think so. The Remarkable is a nice device, but I think the Boox Air3 C is what I'm considering.
you don't have to send everything yourself via email. it is possible to export all you want right from the remarkable app on your computer! so, pretty bad job to not noticing that!
Could you take a look at the TCL NXTPAPER tablets? I've been thinking about getting one but none of the reviews I found were for drawing specifically. Thank you :)
Isn’t it only available through Verizon with a data plan?
Didn’t show us how it bright background illuminations and how web sites and video playing…. It is also important!
Why would they downgrade from EMR… that’s a deal breaker
You should do a deco pro gen 2 tablet review! Love from Mexico~
Crazy expensive. Been waiting for your review. I think I'm gonna get it for the limited ability, and because I really just wanna sketch.
The truth is those devices shouldn’t cost more than 399, because for the use case they are for it’s a waste of money to pay more
This man forgot it's for note taking lol Goodness
Hardware Yea
Software Nah
Is not the worst position to be in. If they’re actively making the software better, it’s a significantly better position than terrible hardware, terrible feeling writing but great software. They can’t actively fix your bad hardware
Also, I wish you could go into the ecosystem a little more. It wasn’t quite clear the trouble you were having getting your files or putting books on it.
It sounded like the only way to push and retrieve anything on the device was through their web interface? There is no hookup to one’s local computer?
Yea, he was completely biased and I'd like to know why. Seemed like he was paid to be sloppy. There were many inaccuracies in this "review"
I don't think they're targeting artists with these, though. These are advertised heavily to students and white-collar workers, so drawing and inking capabilities aren't priorities for their market. I teach both social studies and art. I recommend the reMarkable in my academic classes and other devices to my art students.
Thank you someone who understands
4 years later? Actually, please give me a non-color ala Remarkable 3. Same size but more memory, faster chip.
they keyboard is great because it more in the front with not stupid trackpad in they way
Not using wacom sank them, not sure the reasoning but it made it not worth it imo
€650 in Europe, and €900 for the bundle. No thanks … I can literally almost get an iPad Pro for that price 😂
Isn't this review sort of missing the point of the tablet? It's not meant to be for reading books, audio books, drawing or whatever else you use an iPad for.
The pen is a separate purchase??? Oh nooo
definately a no for me, I will stick with my Sony ebook for books (6 years old at least), and I just got an old/used ipad(2021) for drawing, which works great. Thanks.
Really cool tech, just way too expensive for me.
I like how they made a convoluted overpriced walled garden even worse by taking away the only good thing about it (EMR). The USI lines look awful.
This guy did not use the tablet very much. Lots of incorrect info
you can also use the app on your phone and Computer btw
Just get the ipad.. there is zero point to buy this product it needs to be price at 200-300
For $580 I will wait til the next generation. Too limiting for the price.
