Lego WW1: The Gallipoli Campaign
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 сер 2024
- The Gallipoli Campaign was one of the most disastrous military exercises of the First World War. Lasting from 17 February 1915 to 9 January 1916, it was fought to weaken the Ottoman Empire and open supply routes to Russia through the Black Sea. This historical lego ww1 stop motion documentary shows and explains in detail the progress of the campaign from the landings at ANZAC Cove through to the final evacuation. I hope you enjoy.

Well done, WELL Done

@@bennytheclone1199 Thank you, the idea was to make a blend of stopmotion animation and documentary
@Phoenix Stopmotions, I mite reccomend that you should try to take more frames per second to make the movement in the video smoother. True, this is a longer process of what you are doing right now but, I guarantee that the result will be better (This is just a suggestion)

If there is one thing that was shown extremely well was the narration in the black slides and how you showed that the charges, battles and basically the whole operation was pointless in a way, and full of young men who were sent to their deaths...
The trench combat was pretty intense and I liked how you showed little details like the grenades being thrown back and forth! Very very awesome animation! You spent a lot of time on this and it was worth it!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it

There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side in this country of ours. At what is now the second time I have seen this in two days. I remain impressed so much with this production. I think about the thousands of Lego people who farewelled our Lego boys at the Auckland Domain on the 1st October 1914. There they stood with the Lego cricket pavilion in the background. The Lego parents and wives proud at the small contribution to Lego Empire the country was making So many didn't return. I remember the old photograph of the West Australian Lego Battalion hanging in the window of a photo shop in Perth Australia. Of the 500 or so in the picture, only about 160 came back. Even in Lego, so moving. Even in Lego, the insanity. When I went to the dawn service at the same Auckland Domain in 2015 the moon was a sickle and Venus sat in the sky next to it. How like the flag of Turkey it looked. It felt like some sort of cycle was completing itself. Now the lego people of the combatant nations stand side -by-side on ANZAC day - In Lego.
Well said sir!

my god, I watched this video when you first released it... it made me a bit interested in the Gallipoli Campaign back then, but today I absolutely love the topic of this campaign. thank you for this video!
Glad you enjoyed, thank you for your support!
I really like this. It’s my favorite stop motion video.
Great work, amazing production that really captures the look and feel of the campaign well. The battle of the Nek is the one that always gets me, so pointless and tragic when you put it together with the rest of the poor coordination and bad leadership - a terrible mix with the bravery of the attackers going over the top and the staunch defenders.
Thanks very much!
This is by far one of, if not my favorite stopmotion on UA-cam. It’s amazingly edited and feels like a documentary in a way, but it’s also extremely informative and interesting, and I literally knew nothing about the Gallipoli Campaign until I saw this. It’s so well made and you can clearly see the quality and effort that you put into it. Keep it up!
Thank you so much, that's really nice of you to say :)
This is like a movie. Next time I watch this I am going to get some pop corn.

My god dude this was more of a full on documentary than a lego film. Very thorough video, it provided a lot of information that I had not known about. I made sure to recommend this to a friend for their research project on Gallipoli.
Thanks very much man, appreciate your support and glad you enjoyed it
It’s rare to find LEGO Stopmotions over 10 min, 37 is amazing. You really put a lot of effort and great work into this amazing film. The historical accuracies, no inaccuracies. Just wow amazing. And that’s why i love watching your stuff. Honestly better than watching a billion dollar movie

This stop motion is amazing! It is 37 mins of awesome animation, entertaining, historically accurate, and despite being so long, the animation wasn’t even lazily made at the end despite being made after months of prior work. The music and effects were on point and fit perfectly, setting the attitude just right, which can be hard in a stop motion! I have no criticism at all! Really, really good job. I hope you’re proud of yourself, because you have made a great work of art!

Thank you Fishman! Means a lot :)
Ok... I did it. Watched the whole film! Incredible work with history facts In general only one wish for the future - you should add a couple more soldiers for mass effect
Thanks very much. I tend to lose a bit of quality when I'm animating with lots of figures at once, but I'll try it in the future. Thanks for watching!
@@phoenixstopmotions Oh yeah, I understand that problem! I'm trying to do 20-24 FPS films, but when I make a film with a lot of minifigures FPS rate goes down dramatically cause it's impossible to animate 20-30 minifigures every frame and make it smooth like 20-24... huge problem for an amateur animator :))
@@LCMhistory Yeah definitely, I stick to one or two scenes with lots of figures and then focus on less figures in the picture for the rest, but I'm getting better at it. It's all about practising
As an Australian, Gallipoli is a big holiday and a celebration at that, for all the lives we have lost. R.I.P
This animation is so amazing and it really inspires me to try something like this as well. I watched some of your older videos and the improvement is fascinating! I was enjoying this awesome animation when I saw 37 minutes of smooth, historical (I like history as well so this is perfect) awesome, amazing, interesting, documentary like(trying to think up of more words to describe it.......can’t think of any)LEGO stop motion and I make some animation too and i know 37 minutes is probably months of working 24/7 and that is without the editing and the preparation (getting the mini figures, getting all the LEGO you need and doing all the research, etc. Amazing work, keep it up, good dedication, love it. 👏👏👏👏👏 hit that like button with a MG

Rest In Peace for those who fell in the line of duty fighting on both sides for you fought bravely when needed and was not afraid to stare death in the eye Rest In Peace for all who fell.
Thank you very much, it was a lot of hard work but totally worth it when I see that people have enjoyed it.
The christmas truce could of ended the war itself if it was strong enough, as men talked, they used to fight out of respect to the rules of war.
But in 1914 they stopped for a whole week.
Worth the wait! I hope to see more soon!
Thank you!
