I have to give Cameron huge credit. Taking on a role that's been done by so many people, what does he do? He combines the best three performances into one and it works!
no, no. Joker's greatest fear is that no will remember him. no one remembers his name. some assume he doesn't have one. it is the alias that everyone remembers. Joker. no one remembers Jerome but everyone remembers Joker.
No it's way better, way harder to do, pure insanity. Hamill's laugh is easy to do for me. It's iconic, maddening and scary but this one, it stands on its own.
Can we all stop hating on Cameron? I've never been a huge comics or Batman fan but somehow he managed to make me obsessed with the show. His acting is phenomenal and we really see his insanity play out in Gotham. I think Jerome's character is incredible and I can't wait for his return this season! He's really a legend in my eyes and I don't care what other people say. :)
Sammiegram71 Funny enough I have been watching a lot of Jerome videos on UA-cam and haven't seen any hate comments about him. Just a bunch of comments like yours (which is really good).
The funny thing is, she was essentially right after all. People *did* forget about Jerome as soon as Jeremiah showed up. And after he became the Joker, 10 years later none of his new potential followers will even know that he had some brother named Jerome back in a day.
The commissioner is one of the few Maniax victims I don’t feel bad for. Here’s why: in most of the cases with the maniax, they were mentally disabled at birth and violently abused and arrested for killing their abusers. In both Gotham and real life, via anti-vigilante laws the police have positioned themselves as the only protector group that’s legal. The chance that abuse will occur to the mentally disabled is very high, yet the chance of being believed by police is super low because of long standing systematic issues. Which leads a lot of people to a lot of mentally disabled people having to fight their way out of situations. And in Jerome’s case he went to the authorities and a mandated reporter in Gotham about his abusers when he was young. This would’ve been during Hessn’s time on the force before James Gordon showed up.
Can you all stop saying if he’s good or not, and focus on Cameron’s impressive effort for taking on this role? Like seriously, let’s be for real here. Cameron’s acting for the Joker was decent, probably one of the best. But nonetheless, Cameron himself said he read the comics based off of Ledger and Hamill, and wanted to mix those two together to make it work for his benefit. And it did. Be proud of Jerome Valeska!
Jerome's alive. The Gotham creators made this clear in interviews. He's Joker, pretty much. Heh. Spread the news my friend. It's on the actor's twitter.
You know what I hate about this show? It completely dismisses a question that the Batman mythos has asked itself over the years, and actually possesses some strong merits for its validity, one that I think redefines the entire perception of the Batman character...Is Batman responsible for the creation Gotham's supervillains? Before Batman came onto the scene, it was gangsters and mob bosses and organized crime. But after he started making a name for himself, a year or two after The Batman became known in Gotham, you started getting guys like Riddler, who's obsessed with being the best and smartest, and probably only escalated to that degree because Batman gave him the push, either in his theatrical persona or beating and humiliating him at every turn, or the Joker, who Batman had a large part in (inadvertently) creating. Two-Face only ended up the way he was because GCPD and Harvey Dent pushed the gangs so hard with Batman turning the tide. And then you've got guys like Bane, who only even mess with Gotham in the first place because Batman's there and an active figure. And Gotham's very existence renders that question moot.
I think Gordon set the motion in place way before Batman. Without Gordon's model detective work, high moral ideals and Alfred's training Bruce would never have becomre the Batman. So they both made him into a vigilante and are therefore partly responsible. Gordon also pissed off a lot of these people beforehand beeing a honest cop in Gotham..
Joker's good, but to write him into the show now is bad. It's stupid and its a cop out. This show would have done better to just build on pre-Batman lore and run with it. The first season with Carmine Falcone, decent. But this show ruins Batman's story. This show is a grab for profit and is shamelessly making fangirls and people that don't appreciate the source material, the audience for this fluster cluck of Batman villains and Jim Gordon Drama.
i think he's really good- far better than jared leto (but then again they cut most of his scenes out of the movie so we can't really tell what he did for the character anyway). He nails the iconic joker laugh and he is really over the top and exaggerated which is how the joker likes to be.
I have to give Cameron huge credit. Taking on a role that's been done by so many people, what does he do? He combines the best three performances into one and it works!
You mean best one, his performance is a perfect copy of what Hamill's Joker is.
Lelouch Lamprouge
I disagree, but if that's what you think, I respect that
I mean, I think Hamill's is the best Joker too, but Jerome is obviously a Jack Nicholson Joker. To the marrow.
Yeah. To me he kinda seemed like a combination of Nicholson and Ledger. And I love that
is it me or his laugh at the end is actually creepy!
I mean, he sounds like the devil right there.
I love how he actually thought she was going to spit in his face again😂
So fucking funny 😂😂😂
Oh the foreseeing of the future 1:00 "No one will ever remember your name" is Joker's greatest fear
no, no. Joker's greatest fear is that no will remember him. no one remembers his name. some assume he doesn't have one. it is the alias that everyone remembers. Joker. no one remembers Jerome but everyone remembers Joker.
True
They forget about me hha very funny bats :)
Exactly in Arkham Knight he is afraid of getting forgotten
“You’re *afraid* of being forgotten! And you will be *forgotten* Joker”
The last laugh he does in this scene definitely has to be the scariest laugh that I have heard from a version of the joker
1:50
I love how his laugh is never the same and is always different depending on the moment
I think Cameron is fantastic as Jerome/Joker! That laugh at 1:49 sounds eerily similar to Mark Hamill's Joker laugh. :D
+Jamesie Hodge wow thats so true
Kids a clone Mark Hamill.
toxic tabby+ lol ikr, next thing u know he will be holding a lightsaber
Star Wars reference btw
No it's way better, way harder to do, pure insanity. Hamill's laugh is easy to do for me. It's iconic, maddening and scary but this one, it stands on its own.

I don't think anyone hates him actually. He's great
IG omg lol the amount of hate he gets from his fans cus he bashes the weird fans
This guy would make a perfect Cletus Kasady in a Spider-Man movie
That actor is perfect to Carnage
Oh Fuck that is an AWESOME İDEA he is young like tom holland too
I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING!
unv3rable It's funny you mentioned that cause it was rumored that he would be cast as carnage in the venom film.
Yes! True
Cameron's version of the Joker is amazing and should be known more!
1:50 that laugh is evillllll, I love it❤
1:40 getting hit in the head, then reacting and getting up like that is the scariest thing to me. Someone who doesn’t mind the pain…
This guy is epic!!! Jerome is one of my favorite characters in Gotham.
“That was strangely pleasant… *do it again* “
JEROME PLEASE
that last laugh . omg. perfect
It was at this moment Commissioner knew, she fucked up
1:34
That laugh and dialogue is fucking terrifying and just they way he acts is disturbing and amazing
shooting a member of his team just for stealing his line is such a Joker thing
Every character in this series is so special. The acting is good
Looks like without mickey Ian doesn't take his meds..
Crazy Kat shameless yesss
@@smokeybadd2479 season 10 gallavich yasssssssssssssssssss
Irony. it is true that no one will remember his name. But everyone will always remember his alias: Joker.
He's strangely made for this role
Commissioner spits on Jokers face

Jerome was one of the reasons I watched Gotham and Jeremiah was the second reason
Lmao, that last frame of Gordon's beat up ass on the floor lol.
I'll say it again - Jerome is Gotham's true and rightful joker!
I played jedi fallen order and now every time I see Jerome or Jeremiah I think of Cal Kestis
Vice versa for me i watched Gotham much earlier than i played Jedi Fallen Order Jerome becomed jedi xD
honestly my favorite joker
That laugh gave me chills

0:50-1:00 same energy as:
“You’re *afraid* of being forgotten! And you will be *forgotten* Joker”
-Batman
I watch the Jerome clips so much it's gotten to the point where I say the lines with him lol
Nothin more contagious than laughter
Interesting how Penguin didn’t even appear in this episode
Everyone talking about Cameron and theres me crying about Essen
1:49 he should've used that laugh a bit more. It's fucking amazing
Rubin van Velthoven That’s my favorite laugh by Monaghan to date
If Amazon makes a Boys spin-off about a teenage Homelander, Cameron should play teenage Homelander.
she was right rip jerome man
i feel him on the spit thing
Gotham makes a lot of episodes but this one is my Favorite ever 😋😋😋😍😍😍💥💥💥

The look at me part 😍 🥵🥵🥵
Is no one really gonna mention how creepy and insanely this laugh was 1:40
No one's gonna mention how hot it was either 🤤

Oh dear Lord. *Bye*, commish....

she was a captain, not a commissioner
She became a commissioner
I want to see what he does!
Azoth Marcusovich same because it looks like he was gonna beat the crap outta her but it only shows that she has a cut
Looks like Greenwood got his bullet, cause his timing was off and his comedy sucked hahaha

Now this seemed more like the Joker, the one thing i don't get though, if he's the joker? then how come he dies?
As much as I love this joker, its non-canon
its trying to say that joker is not the only one down with the illness, that's why there are 3
