@@star0chris yes please! I have to say I really loved the Twitch Rivals threesome PvP or maybe it was just your team that made it so enjoyable! So teams could be fun. Everyone does their single set up runs and then spin the wheel to find out who is teamed up with whom for PvP.
The funny thing is that the Tooth Whip is actually quite a strong pvp weapon. The poison is great for pressure and buff procs, plus it has great range and true combos.
@drac109 Yeh, I really don't understand a lot of this comment section. Tooth whip is so toxic in pvp, it's not a meme weapon. I think most people probably don't play pvp so think because whips suck in pve that they also suck in pvp.
@@blackzero1956 yeah but thats the problem, it sucks in pve. if aggy had time for full build plus an actual main weapon then it would be great, but instead he got stuck fighting bosses with a +8 whip and down so many levels on chris. Aggy's biggest mistake imo though was just not getting a better PvE weapon for bosses like chris did, couldve easily gotten great katana or backhand blades to fight lion, gaius, hippo, messmer etc for runes and then used those runes to upgrade his weapon to +10
next time maybe it would make it better if after 1 round of match, players would given a chance to explore the map again for 30 minutes, and then go for round 2, and then do that again for the final round so the build would change hence making the players guessed-countering the other player's build each round (essentially giving the sense of early game > mid game > late game build)

yea ngl 2 thrusting weapons with cold attunements plus smithscript shield is crazy💀 but then again tooth whip is actually really good in pvp too from what i can tell and it was more about aggy not picking up a better pve weapon so that he could actually kill bosses so his biggest issue was being underleveled. Still made for a great video though and i agree that its better aggy lost so we got to see both him AND parky doing the scene, you can just tell chris knew exactly what scene he wanted when he said remake a video game cutscene lmao
PVE players experiencing PVP is _fascinating_ to witness. The floundering, the realisation that FromSoft P2P latency amplifies hitbox jank, and the panic rolls are all so nostalgic (coming from someone who did their first invasion in 2020 DS3 lmao). I remember every emotion y'all expressed in this one, and my jaw hurts from smiling so much. 😁 Also Aggy might've bluffed cringing, but they were having a great time in that stakes scene. He puts on a good show, but I guarantee you he's far from unhappy in times like that!
The funny thing about the "cringe" cutscene is that with the context of the game's story, Aggy and Parky basically did what Tidus and Yuna were doing. Forcing themselves to fake laugh and embarrassing themselves in front of everyone, which ended up turning into real laughter.
Indeed. It's a super awkward scene taken out of context, but in context it makes sense that it's deliberately awkward. Still great to make fun of though.
The end was so wholesome. That was the whole meaning behind the scene of yuna and tidus. Their journey is gonna be hard and full of tough choices, so they tried to learn how to cheer up each other even in bad times. First the fake laugh which is so awkward that they have to laugh for real. FFX has awesome Story and characters, thx Chris for choosing that. Hopefully those 2 will play the game together one day, I just can recommend it to everyone ❤
The one thing Aggy didn't realize is that while a whip might be a solid pvp weapon, one has to ALSO still kill pve things XD and having bleed makes that so much easier.

This should be a series. Like Link'sOcarina channel does for RuneScape. Do like "locked in this zone for 1 hour, then we fight" Or you both have your own independent randomizers you get to pend an hour or 30 minutes getting gear then you fight.
Finally someone does pvp! Chris the goat. I wish more challenge runners did pvp stuff. With the arena you can even organize more people, like Skumnut and Bushy, so everyone can join
All I do in FROM games is PvP and my favorite off meta pick from the DLC is the tooth whip. Nice to see it getting some love! If he knew to crouch R1 more and that on low poise an r1 combos into weapon art he'd have clutched up.
The whips isn't really off meta though ? It's a really strong pvp weapon countered by hyper armor so at lower levels it's probably the 3rd best low level weapon.
@@Mizuraka4437 Off-meta means it's not a meta pick. It's outclassed by most DLC weapons save for the ghostflame options. All it has is range and 2 ways to combo. Meta picks from the DLC are the new greatspears, pata, backhand blade (despite being on every ban list), and the rest of the situational weapons are more useful menu swaps. It gets no hyper, Can't win any trades, only breaks poise below 80(ish) so anybody running a normal amount of poise can trade with any move you throw out. It's just fun that they put Witches Locks in elden ring.

They were so many brain-dead "look mom no hands" options they could've gone with tbh, pata, milady, everything red bear, sword of night, the new katana, raksasha, Messmers spear, crutch slash and skill spot, the destructo disk, hell even just spamming the ball of fire that forces you to roll
You both did so well! I honestly wasn't expecting much because both you mainly play PvE but I was very impressed both with the builds you guys made and how you played in the arena. You didn't look like PvP noobs at all! Very, very well played the both of you.
A lot of PvP is control over the character itself, so yeah a lot of stuff translates for sure. It's mainly just knowledge from knowing what's good and matchup knowledge, and then maybe a little of PvP specific tech
Watching them set up was insane. Not only the routes, but the uniqueness of the builds was cool. But man, the PvP section was like watching papermache fall apart

The infamous FFX laughing scene is one of my favourite scenes in all media. Theñat is a representation of 2 people on the edge trying their hardest not to fall apart from the pressure. It's cringe but it makes sense. And that's the best kind of cringe.
Be fun to try something like this again, but you have a duel every 30mins or something like that. 2 hours max time, first person to win three duels wins, if it's 2-2 at 2 hours, then you both get a final 30 mins and whoever wins the next match wins it all
If you ever do another one of these for DLC, consider Claws Of Night (the ones that you get from the invader right before Metyr), they are actual peak cancer in PvP. Slap on Blessed Blue Dew, Smithscript Talisman and maybe Two-Headed Turtle Talisman and you can just outrange and spam the ash of war for free ranged blood buildup and insane poise damage that will stagger through most armors on each hit
The claws of night AoW doesn’t actually do much poise damage, it always headshots because there are so many projectiles and headshots poise break even on phantom hits so that’s even more busted, you can counter it with crucible knot tali or pumpkin head tho
They are the ultimate stall button in duels but they are cancer gank weapons. The thing you're thinking about is the destructo disk, it actually gets way above sustain with a starlight shard
would love to see this vid but with like 30 mins after each round for extra prep to counter or rebuild or increase the strength of the build. Adds some strategy idk
I am just saying... a Dark Souls MOBA would go HARD! Put in some prebuilds, or start characters at a certain lvl and gear options. Put in upgrades in the jungles... the game would be the most addictive thing since Fort Knight.
That sounds like a job for a AAA game studio and not one or two modders lol, but that does sound like a ton of fun, I'll keep that idea in mind to see if it could be done on a more reasonable scale than what would be perfect
In defense of FF10, if you continue that whole cutscene they laugh normally directly afterword. They are actually forcing themselves to laugh for the bad one, and then laugh at themselves for it. Mostly because they basically just found out that that no matter what happens they're gonna die

I kinda of wish Fromsoft would implement some challenge mode into the base game where we could start off level 1 in the DLC like this, I've always wanted to try these types of video ideas with friends but I play on Xbox. Kinda wish I could afford a PC setup to play more modded games but I don't have the cash.
