Brett never disappoints. He is like a Guitar Prophet, allways bringing the right lesson at the right time. I played the drums from 4th grade all the way through my senior year in high school. I always play better Guitar with a drummer in this case a drum track. Thanks Brett
@@BrettPapaHey Brett thank you for this lesson and the last rhythm lesson you did ! U are Amazing at teaching and not holding back any knowledge from us students, that struggle with certain areas on guitar playing. Thx again I have been a fan of ur lessons for a long time now . Have to also mention you sound so killer at Van Helen just as good as Pete thorn in my opinion! God bless !
Been feeling my way through the dark learning guitar on my own, and this one lesson turned on so many little lights. You have a new subscriber. Thank you!
As a guitar teacher myself I really appreciate this content. It's something I can recommend to my students. Killer tone by the way but you can't go wrong with a Nash and a Marshall! Greetings from Canada!
Great lesson Brett! I grew up learning to play Van Halen and Randy Rhoads, who although they were great rhythm players, I focused on learning their leads. This wakes me up to working on rhythm
@@BrettPapasame path but I was bypassing theory as it was “too much” to memorize so I memorized everything and not near smart enough to remember that many 🎶🎼5-7-8-7-9 S 😂😂so I decided to learn finally after years and 1000 intros.
You made a similar vid a while back and it was extremely helpful, Brett. It definitely helped me level up and just concentrate on my right hand more... for playing guitar I mean😅Thanks so much.
I love EZ drummer and the packs. It improved my practice and creativity during COVID! Paired with EZ keys and EZ bass, you can get real good practice jams! I have Beat Buddy that I’m trying to get used to now.
Really dug these last two videos Brett. Your content is always so good and as always, you have the best tone on UA-cam. Thanks for the lessons you do and for the interview/jam stuff with other guys too.
im pritty shure im going to be fallowing you Brett im curintly taking lessons from a nother great Nashvill instructor but i need more direction with strum & beat connection .a nothere great musican from nashville this realy got my attation thank you again
The course is great, I am getting a ton of great ideas from emulating you, Kenny and Justin. Thanks for the quality content in your courses! Cheers -- TC
I'am lessoning to this vid over and over, untill I perfect it hopefully! This has to be the best lesson out there! For my opinion. TY again Brett,I'am on my way playing the guitar for the first time. The CAGED is also my favorite system.
@@BrettPapa absolutely 👍🏼 I learned alot from you over the years and developed things from each of you guys and I'm making it my own now I guess. Lol,, and I've been playing on off since 1978,,it's been all ON since 2017. ! I'm on my 2015 Shawbucker Stratocaster today . !! That's the thing about guitar, you never stop learning from every other guitarist.
Started doing this this past weekend. Inspired by your previous rhythm playing video. So much fun and certainly a quick way to find and incorporate new fun rhythms/playing to odd tempos. I've got a Casio keyboard with several interesting rhythms. I found it fun to try and practice along some some of the more unusual rhythms. Thanks SO much for the inspiration!!
It's good to find out what you tend to do asca natural guitar player do you land on the beat or b4 or after i get a different answer and drum playing helps you ground yourself otherwise you piss off the people who are perdantic about always being the same one in every band they give you eyes and its just like grrrrr

Thanks!

Man this is gold. For people who started out on acoustic and want to strum away. Rhythm on electric guitar is different
Yep, I didn't know this when moving to electric.
It’s a different animal for sure!
Yep, I can barely play acoustic whenever I try. Just feels so much harder to produce good sound
Awesome lesson dude! Thanks for all you do to help people learn 🙏🤓🎸

This is perfect, concepts and ideas instead of learning an artist song. Perfect. I have been following you since the early Marty days in 2013.
Thanks for hanging around all these years!
