Unpopular opinion but in the west Russias security concerns have always been disregarded , laughed off and even denied the right to have any security concerns. If a military alliance consisting of Russia china and Iran went in to a military alliance with let’s say Ireland I doubt the uk would be pleased with that. If the same happened in Mexico or Canada the Americans to would have gone on a rampage .
It appears, Russia is starting to hint at its actual conditions: NATO permanently rolled back (the whole of Eastern EU or minimally the Baltic states, Poland, Romania), and the US out of NATO. This is in light of President Trump's focus on the Arctic region rights (demarkated by coastline) and Panama concerns - which Russia promises to lay off of.
Here’s the thing, at the end of the Cold War Gorbachev pulled the red army out of Europe and allowed the Warsaw pact to collapse, now why did nato exist at that point? Why did us/uk forces remain in mainland Europe? The soviets lost 20 million people to win ww2 and gave it all up for nothing in return They told Russia it would not move “one inch east” and then expanded many miles east up to russias border, for what purpose? The Russians left Europe, we “won” the Cold War, Russia is a “laughing stock with a drunk leader” so why expand knowing it will anger them? Had the west reciprocated russias gesture by pulling out of Europe and disbanding nato, there would be NO war in Ukraine today
The solution was Minsk 1 and Minsk 2, the belarus peace deal in march 2022 and Turkey peace deal that Boris shafted, and all rejected by Ukraine. All of which Ukraine would have only lost Crimea and it would become a republic. That has gone now and they have gambled and lost everything. Ukraine will never be in NATO.
Russian lies. It was Russia that breached the Minsk agreements, and the discovery of the Russian war crimes in Bucha that killed off any further interest in a seize fire by Ukraine. Besides, why would they do ANOTHER peace agreement after Russia broke all it's commitments (starting with the 4+2 treaty on German reunification, the Budapest memorandum, and various other international agreements signed and ratified by Russia). Ukraine is paying the price for trusting Russian assurances, they won't be making that mistake again anytime soon (unless the West fully commits to get involved directly if Russia turns out to be lying as usual).
No chance of a ceasefire then. Russia will never accept Ukraine as a NATO country even if Ukraine gives up occupied land. Ukraine would simply rearm, retrain and a resumption of war highly likely.
Exactly. It's not an option, it's not up for debate, it is an existential threat to Russia, as it would be to the USA if Mexico was part of the military alliance with Russia.
As a NATO member, Ukraine needs to provoke Russian, claim victim and evoke article 5. At this point the burden becomes commune for the entire NATO. NATO is defense alias and not a military tool for solving pre-NATO membership problems.
One thing is for Certain if this war ends and IF Russia come back in some yrs for a 2nd helping im sure Ukraine shall be more ready than they were this time ..But should make Ukraine Nato .
There's zero upside for Russia to pause the conflict if they don't get their way, which is either a complete proxy defeat of NATO or NATO permanently rolled back. Whether Ukraine ends up without Kyiv, Kharkiv (Russia) and Lviv (Poland) is up in the air, but it's getting land-locked (Mykolaiv, Odesa, land bridge to Transnistria) by 2030 or so.
The thing is that Russia and Ukriane were negotiating a settlement and then Boris Johnson scuppered it. Well done Johnson, how much blood do you have on your hands. Great job.
@@bikechainmicthat's an ignorant comparison. Considering there is evidence that all parties involved agree with that is exactly what Boris Johnson said. Meanwhile others is evidence that all parties also agree with that the earth is definitely not flat.

Wow... @ davezigzag. blah blah I think you need to do some research, look at the motives of Russia, look at what they gain ( Lithium, coal, manufacturing, farming) then look at the demands laid upon Ukraine from Russia... then come back to the table.
Another ridiculous Russian propaganda line. It's Pootin who stands there in expensive designer clothes while his soldiers record videos begging for basic necessities, not Zelensky. Zelensky, unlike Pootin during the Wagner uprising, proved how much he cares about his own people by staying in their midst, in the capital, to help organise the defence of the country. Pootin has wasted so many Russian lives on brutal attacks of peaceful neighbours, 3/4 of Russian companies now complain of staff shortages. Stop parroting Russian lies.
Yeah. The West and Ukraine are like toddlers, being unwilling to negotiate peace in a realistic way (which yes, will have many very painful provisions) even though they can't win the war. The result is going to be that Russia eventually just wins the war anyway and enforces an even more painful peace on Ukraine than they would get if they negotiated a (very painful) peace today. I guess the West is so used to dictating terms against other countries that they've forgotten that if you actually lose the war, you don't get to dictate terms.
Hahaha Russia has already said that NATO membership now or anyime in he future is not an acceptable term. Nor is any kind of NATO/ US presence in The Ukraine. Any terms that include any of these things have already been rejected outright by Russia because they would simply mean that the West buys time to rearm and reorganise within that territory. Russias exact response (Sergei Lavrov) was that a moratorium of ten or twenty years means nothing to Russia in historical context.

All is based on the assumption Russia entered Ukraine for land gain, but it's not what Russia said. It was clear from very beginning Ukraine has to remain buffer zone between Russia and NATO. On the other hand if it was the case, The occupied land has to be internationally recognized as part of Russia to complete the process. It's impossible to force Russians pull back empty handed while they are winning on every measurable parameter. Lastly how will one integrate Russian speaking regions back to Ukraine after they publicly declared their desire to join Russia on the referendum. Do Ukraine intend to ethnically cleans those regions to acquire the land?

One can not and should not forget that the U.S./Britain established and maintained Ukrainian sabotage/gorilla warfare against the Soviet Union immediately post-WW2. I’ve visited my in laws in Russia, Olga is 50 same age as me grew up in the cccp. She finds this war disgusting. To her it’s still soviet Ukraine her country.
There’s a thing about that, people who move abroad often end up with exaggerated patriotism for their home country. This happens to Brits as well, if you’re ever in Spain go to a British pub and talk to some of the Brits who have retired there.
Russia won't accept Ukraine in NATO and goes against the historically and fundamentally reason for the SMO. Madeleine Albright, Clinton’s secretary of state: “Yeltsin and his countrymen were strongly opposed to enlargement, seeing it as a strategy for exploiting their vulnerability." William Burns, the current director of the CIA In his memoir The Back Channel" he writes: 'Sitting at the Embassy in Moscow in the mid-90s, it seemed to me that NATO expansion was premature at best and needlessly provocative at worst. Such a move would touch "a raw nerve with Russia that would engender serious concerns about the consequences of stability in the region.' Putin said in 2007: “NATO has put its frontline forces on our borders.” NATO expansion represents a serious provocation. Robert M. Gates, who served as secretary of defence for George W. Bush, asserted that bringing Ukraine into NATO is recklessly ignoring what the Russians consider their own vital national interests. Stoltenberg: "President Putin declared in the autumn of 2021 and actually sent a draft treaty that they wanted NATO to sign to promise no more NATO enlargement. And it was a precondition to not invade Ukraine. Of course, we didn't sign that." Russia holds all the cards. Russia will only accept Ukraine being neutral, non-aligned, and the four eastern Russian-speaking oblasts as Russian. Otherwise, Russia will continue advancing and destroying the AFU, which is at breaking point. Ukraine should aspire to be like the country of Austria, which is a neutral, successful democracy.
If only all of the former Warsaw pact countries had pledged neutrality at the end of the Cold War AND had nato disbanded, there would be NO war in Ukraine today
If this does happen then before the year is out Zelensky will cause a fight with the Russians then cry to nato that he is being attacked. This would bring us into the war, something he has wanted since the start.
Well, to be fair, if you read Article 5, all it talks about is that other member states will provide whatever support they deem necessary. Fun part of that is the fact that there is no mention that someone has to actually enter combat in defense of the aggrieved member. The support can be arms, supplies or thoughts and prayers. We all know how Britain and France supported Poland in 1939 despite them being guarantors of Polish sovereignty as of Feb 1939. Not a single NATO state had defended another NATO state when war broke out. Noone rushed to helped the Brits in Malay Emergency, noone helped Portugal when India kicked them out from their colonies in India. It would have been easy to quash those events if NATO entered it. And back then all of them had huge post-WW2 weapon stockpiles. In this case this is Russia with its huge reserves and industry firing on all cylinders and expanding, vs NATO that is losing its industries, and Russia can easily take all the manufacturing facilities out within a week. Europe stands WAY too much to lose. Russia isn't Iraq or Afghanistan, and for all the western bravado and posturing, behind closed doors they want to get out of it ASAP, just without losing face, which is impossible.
I doubt if NATO wants to go to war on behalf of Ukraine. Ukraine is being sacrificed. NATO is happy to attack small countries that are no threat, but the Europeans don’t want a major conflict in Europe otherwise they could have let Ukraine into NATO
Yes that is obviously what he wants because he knows he can’t win without NATO, but I think some of the European members don’t want all out war with Russia on behalf of Ukraine.
@@Max_Da_Gwell said and very much to the point. A war with NATO won’t be about occupying land like in Ukraine it will be about firing missiles with massive damage to infrastructure. are the Europeans ready to see their cities destroyed on behalf of Ukraine?

It's not Europe that keeps breaking it's commitments and attacking it's peaceful neighbours. Who cares who Russia trusts? You people should go and live there if you think Russia is so great and the West is so evil.
The problem is is the prerequisite for joining NATO that states, no country can join that is already at war or has border disputes. To circumvent that is to rewrite and in some cases undermine what NATO is. Some think and hope that Ukraine joins NATO then NATO comes in and takes the land taken by Russia by force. That just isn’t going to happen.

Zelensky and his team will eventually find out the hard way, he does not understand that NATO will not directly enter into a conflict with Russia on the ground, but that Ukraine is there which should fight on the ground, to me he seems very naive or he has been given so much money that pretends to be crazy.
Why would Russia negotiate? They are slowly winning and gaining ground every month as per attritional war doctrine. Ukraine are exhausted and have no negotiating power in this. It's US that have negotiating power with Russia.
Sorry but this approach is completely one-sided. It does not address Russia's concerns. Giving Ukraine NATO membership would scuttle any chance of a peaceful solution. Besides, NATO membership now would not give Ukraine retroactive protection in terms of Article 5 which in itself would be counterproductive to a settlement.
Fun part about article 5: it only refers to SUPPORT. Support other member states deem necessary. Could be support by thoughts and prayers at the end of it all. NATO pulls all it's assets and interests out of Ukraine so that Putin has the buffer zone he's been calling for. Russia pulls out of all the occupied areas in Ukraine including Crimea. Trump's right, he could sort it out in 24 hours.
Zelensky WAS a clown (a professional comic actor). He DID seek peace (in fact he was elected on a promise to negotiate an end to the hostilities that began in 2014) in the Paris conference in 2019 but realised there that Putin was not interested in his realistic and generous offers. Since then, the logic of a full scale war has taken over. Russia's opening position is truly laughable and completely unrealistic (Permanent block on NATO membership, Russia to retain ALL currently occupied territory and no guarantee against future invasion of further Ukrainian territory). This is Zelensky's opening negotiating position and is much more realistic than Russia's. The settlement will be somewhere in the middle. Territory will be ceded de facto (but Ukraine will not renounce it formally or permanently) and either a clear commitment to allowing NATO membership or some form of words that allows invitation within a set time-frame or maybe a special extension of Article 5 to Ukraine will have to be part of it. Russia already had the Baltic states on its land border and now also has Finland as a NATO member with a land border. To be honest, Russia is in such a poor state now that it should be the one seeking security guarantees.
7.48 - Logical non sequitur "the Russians haven't run into Poland have they, why not?" They also didn't "run into Finland" - Could it be because they don't have the same historical and cultural ties ?
They might yet run into whatever state demands US nuclear weapons on their soil. I think it was Stubb that did. And Finland of today is not Finland of 1939. Nor are the Russians same. They'll be far more ruthless against the Finns than they are with Ukrainians. It all depends on the threat being faced. Ukraine, according to Russians, was about to enact a huge military operation against the Eastern break-away republics. Neither Finns nor Poles are about to openly start a war with Russia. Therefore Russians won't either.
Or could it be that it is because Poland is a NATO member and because they got badly mauled in Finland? In any case there is no logical non-sequitur in Phil's statements.
I predicted this before a shot was fired. I’d sooner see Russia in NATO. Solve a lot of problems in Africa, ME. Great for trade. Great for Europe (which is why America won’t let it happen).
Exactly, us of a wants to rule the world that is why they are warmongering invaders and have over 750 army bases in over 130 countries out of 192 countries worldwide, they are the true slave masters of the world. Russia don't. Makes one think about who is really invading other countries for their own benefit like the first invasion of Iraq for oil and nothing else.
Remember Minsk 2 a deal was in the making, Putin was quiet Happy for the Donbas regions to remain in Ukraine as long as the Russian speaking people living there were treated decently etc but Johnson went there and stopped the signing, therefore Putin had no choice but carry on with the war. Madness
I have looked at this interview, Z is clearly under substance. Also Russia will not agree to such a ceasefire. Only when territories occupied by Russia will be officially “handed” over and No NATO in Ukraine. All this talk is for nothing.
Even the us knew after 20 years in Afghanistan and $2 trillion spent that it could not win How much money and life will it take for zelensky to reach the same conclusion?
Catch 22 really, unless Zelenskyy agrees to cede the land, Russia Are not going to agree to a ceasefire and therefore no NATO Membership. Putin stated he wants a buffer zone, and everyone needs to be able to salvage a win of some type out of the resolution for it to be accepted.
There was a peace agreement that benefitted Ukraine more than Russia but old boris from the UK messed that up royally, zelensky must resign and the west including warmongering us of a need to get the heck out of Ukraine
Zelensky did sign a peace agreement more beneficial to Ukraine than Russia and then boris from the UK told zelensky to tear it up making big promises under us influence that he didn't and couldn't keep. Zelensky and his t-shirts must resign and leave Ukraine as he is more outside of Ukraine begging for money than inside of Ukraine. The west and nato is losing the war against Russia and they will never acknowledge nor accept it.
That's not how war works. War only works if the people are with it. Make no mistake, despite what the media and war shills would have you believe, there's very little public support for helping the corrupt Ukraine government, which shelled its own civilians prior to Russian intervention.
That's just repeating Russian propaganda. NATO could defeat what is left of the Russian military without the USA and Poland could probably get to Moscow on its own.
So even a novice with limited geopolitical nous know that the very reason why we had the Russian incursion into Ukraine on the 24th 2nd, 2022 is because of Ukraine abandoning its neutrality apropos the 2008, Budapest Memorandum signed on the 5th December 1994, the Maidan coup in 2014, the US and NATO pumping Ukraine with weapons and training their army, the murders of around 18 000 ethnic Russians by the Ukraine army in the Donbass and the Ukraine's insistence on wanting to be a member of NATO. So the critical and indeed fundamental question my dear ex-SAS member is this; why on God's good earth would Russia even for a moment contemplate a cessation (or anything similar) of their military activities, when 1: they are conclusively winning the war, 2: they are faced with the same political dynamics from Ukraine and the West that precipitated their incursion into Ukraine to begin with? Can you imagine for just one moment how absolutely ridiculous, delusional and frankly STUPID, that criminal mass-murdering comic Zelenskyy sounds, given the above? As the great Daniel Goleman once observed; “The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice there is little we can do to change until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.” And the equally great Daniel Kahneman concluded; “We can be blind to the obvious, and we are also blind to our blindness.” So Albert, you know, that Albert neatly rounds off my diatribe by realizing that; Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Russia has won. Ukraine will never in Nato, but will be the buffer zone that Russia needs vs. Nato. And in pursuing US ambitions, Ukraine has lost territory beyond Crimea it will never get back. End of story.

Russia started this war because it was opposed to Ukraine accession to NATO in the 1st place . Putin, Labrov and other Russian official always insisted on that and when you look at the Minsk agreement or the Istanbul négociations Russia was willing to let the Donbass remain as territory of Ukraine if NATO membership was rejected …So here we are 3 years later thousands of casualties on both sides and one can seriously think that Russia will accept a deal that Involve NATO membership for Ukraine ? I think Zelinsky is delusional if he thinks Russia would accept that . We will see how it goes , but i think Ukraine is not in good position to dictate terms …
And one more thing, I think that the vast majority of people in the West think that NATO is the biggest power and that it asks about everything, and that is a key mistake, NATO does not have the human resources for such large-scale military operations. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of people, maybe a few million, in Ukraine on the mainland, NATO has nothing to ask for.
As a westerner I am puzzled as to why nato still existed after the red army pulled out of Europe and the Warsaw pact collapsed? Had we reciprocated Russias gesture there would be no war in Ukraine today
@soggybadrongle : Yes, NATO was created to be a counterpart to the Soviet Union, and after the collapse of the Soviet Union, they felt that they were the only major military power, and they wanted to use that to take advantage of Russia's weakness, and they became an aggressive force, the West primarily dominated with economic power and then with military power Their goal was then to approach the Russian borders final to break Russia as a state, but force creates force and therefore force is never a temporary solution, yes, but ultimately no.
But if NATO grants Ukraine membership, because it is being attacked, Zelensky can then demand article 5 be enacted something I am sure NATO members don’t want and is the very reason they won’t give Zelensky membership otherwise they would have given it from the beginning.

You're absolutely right.
Exactly.....the USA went ballistic (literally) when Russia put arms on Cuba. Same thing. USA are good at having a rule for them, but not for others.
The soviets lost 20 million people to win ww2 and gave it all up for nothing in return
They told Russia it would not move “one inch east” and then expanded many miles east up to russias border, for what purpose? The Russians left Europe, we “won” the Cold War, Russia is a “laughing stock with a drunk leader” so why expand knowing it will anger them?
Had the west reciprocated russias gesture by pulling out of Europe and disbanding nato, there would be NO war in Ukraine today
Exactly
The solution was Minsk 1 and Minsk 2, the belarus peace deal in march 2022 and Turkey peace deal that Boris shafted, and all rejected by Ukraine. All of which Ukraine would have only lost Crimea and it would become a republic. That has gone now and they have gambled and lost everything. Ukraine will never be in NATO.
Boris the buffoon that promised so much
@Bootstreet That only an idiot believed!!
West doesn't care if putin accepts
Great job.

The Putin Monster does not care about Russian lives and I don't think you care if Ukraine exists.

Unfortunately, I also see Ukraine, backed and strongly egged on by U.S./Britain to conducting an insurgency war in either the Russian occupied regions or Russia itself or both.
One can not and should not forget that the U.S./Britain established and maintained Ukrainian sabotage/gorilla warfare against the Soviet Union immediately post-WW2. Organisations and liaison which never ended and if anything has only been strengthened by the proxy war.

Russia won't accept Ukraine in NATO and goes against the historically and fundamentally reason for the SMO.
Madeleine Albright, Clinton’s secretary of state: “Yeltsin and his countrymen were strongly opposed to enlargement, seeing it as a strategy for exploiting their vulnerability."
William Burns, the current director of the CIA In his
memoir The Back Channel" he writes:
'Sitting at the Embassy in Moscow in the mid-90s, it seemed to me that NATO expansion was premature at best and needlessly provocative at worst.
Such a move would touch "a raw nerve with Russia that would engender serious concerns about the consequences of stability in the region.'
Putin said in 2007:
“NATO has put its frontline forces on our borders.” NATO expansion represents a serious provocation.
Of course, we didn't sign that."
Russia holds all the cards.
I'm convinced that Zelensky's handlers will disappear him when he is no longer useful, too comprising, or a risky asset.

Remember “not one inch east”
No. Nor should Russia.
Oh poor Russia. Read the 4+2 treaty, the Budapest Memorandum, and various other international agreements signed and ratified by Russia.
Rules can be changed and agreements can be ignored. Take the Budapest Memorandum for example... 🙂

Zelensky is a comic, peace will only happen on Russian terms whether Trump or not Trump.
Ukraine is de-facto a NATO state anyway, given that it's trained by NATO, armed by NATO, given intel by NATO, strategy is formulated by NATO. And it's still losing.
It was surprising to hear trump say recently that Russia doesn’t want nato on its doorstep, very unusual but encouraging to hear a us president looking at a situation from the other side

Zelensky is a clown , keeps talking peace but puts unrealistic demands on the table

Russia will never let any part of Ukraine join NATO it's that simple
There was a peace agreement that benefitted Ukraine more than Russia but old boris from the UK messed that up royally, zelensky must resign and the west including warmongering us of a need to get the heck out of Ukraine

One key point is that NATO membership is contingent on having no pre-existing territorial disputes.
Ukraine should never be in NATO .
I hope our young mean don’t join the army and Russia is not scared of NATO 😂😂😂😂😂 infact nato is petrified of Russia
So the critical and indeed fundamental question my dear ex-SAS member is this;
why on God's good earth would Russia even for a moment contemplate a cessation (or anything similar) of their military activities, when 1: they are conclusively winning the war, 2: they are faced with the same political dynamics from Ukraine and the West that precipitated their incursion into Ukraine to begin with?
Can you imagine for just one moment how absolutely ridiculous, delusional and frankly STUPID, that criminal mass-murdering comic Zelenskyy sounds, given the above?
As the great Daniel Goleman once observed; “The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice there is little we can do to change until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.”
And the equally great Daniel Kahneman concluded; “We can be blind to the obvious, and we are also blind to our blindness.”
So Albert, you know, that Albert neatly rounds off my diatribe by realizing that; Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I laughed when he said diplomatically. If he has NATO peacekeepers he'll just use NATO to do his job.
Ukraine is fighting Russia for NATO membership , yet both NATO and Russia said NO, what a pointless waste of human lives..
Putin isn't going anywhere 🙄
Go on Phil tell the truth
The tactical truth…
Trumps already backed down and said 100 days 😂
🫣
When will we take our country back
Is it not a condition of joining Nato , that the country applying cannot be engaged in an active border dispute
Russia has won. Ukraine will never in Nato, but will be the buffer zone that Russia needs vs. Nato. And in pursuing US ambitions, Ukraine has lost territory beyond Crimea it will never get back. End of story.
It’s not occupied territory, there were referendums much like Kosovo.
Topic:
Yugoslawia war and when the mass move of civilians started and why it started.
Oh dear. I don’t care if you’re ex-SAS or Emperor among foreign secretary. You need to check out Ramsay’s CV. And he’s quoting a US source. Not negotiating.
Just a thought, if Ukraine got NATO membership first and then discussed Russia keeping the land they have invaded, would this be classed as Russia has invaded a NATO country because Ukraine got the NATO recognition first…?
Also does Ukraine keep the territory it has taken from Russia….?
Just wondering what your thoughts were on this…?
You do realise the Clown /Actor Elensky has not been president since last May
You do realise that Ukraine law does allow elections under martial law? And Ukrtaine is under martial law. Given the current situation martial law does not seem unreasonable.

@@davidjohn8889 Right - so he is lawfully in power and is still the president.

. So the Russian artillery cauldron continues. The Hungarian Prime minister says 1.1 million dead Ukrainian soldiers so far.
It's true Phil. Putin hasn't threatened Finland or Sweden since they voluntarily requested to join NATO.
Why would Rusdia threaten Finland or Sweden.
Both pushed into joining NSTO using the fear factor!
@@WesleyFisher-vl2zsWell my friend. Working with Putins own rationale that invading Ukraine was to stop NATO growing to Russias borders, then it would be rational that Putin reacted in the same way when Finland and Sweden voluntarily requested to join NATO after Putin invaded Ukraine. Quite obvious to be alarmed when a neighbour starts attacking another neighbour isn't it?
Russia just cut the economic benefits for Finland it had while it was a neutral country. Go ask the Finns now how 'good" their life became since they joined NATO :)
@@doublehelix7880basically anyone in Europe he can ask, how cheaper is everything when EU has sanctioned Russia, all of the sudden we got living crisis in UK and people paying record prices for heating.
@@Testchannels-z8j Who joined NATO? paid off politicians. Note how NOONE conducted a plebiscite into whether joining NATO is a good idea.
Question for Phil - would you still be prepared to fight for your country against Russia bearing in mind what has happened to the UK in the past 20 years.

The Dnipro River is an obvious hard border.

Russia gets Ukraine, the USA gets Greenland, it's a fair deal and a win win for both sides.
Lets get them both into Nato and EU, and lets spice things up
Great insight
Thanks so much for the support💪🏼
That’s not happening mate
That little weasel I'd trying to hoodwink the west
Big Phil speaking facts as always
Thank you for the support Matthew💪🏼
The only place where zelensky is putting money is in his arse pocket
But if NATO grants Ukraine membership, because it is being attacked, Zelensky can then demand article 5 be enacted something I am sure NATO members don’t want and is the very reason they won’t give Zelensky membership otherwise they would have given it from the beginning.
Why would nato scare Russia when you consider it’s been fighting Nato all along and they're winning.
It hasn't fought NATO
It’s up against Nato proxies, NATO weapons, NATO trained Ukrainians,NATO specialist planners, NATO satellite intelligence, NATO advisers, NATO special forces are present.
Looks like they’re fighting NATO to me & everybody knows it.
@@SnakePliskin762 You don't realize just to how big an extent NATO is involved. Short of actually fighting NATO does a whole lot for Ukraine. And Russia would obliterate whole Euro-NATO put together.

Thanks Phil. An interesting dilemma. As you hinted at, If Ukraine becomes a member of NATO in the current state of affairs, there will be a part of NATO occupied by a hostile nation's military.
