Hey Alicia! In case you didn't see it in the chat, in most dog pounds, "aging out" means that a dog has grown to old to adopt, and is put down. So when the hell hound lady is talking about Loona aging out of the system, it could either be taken as her being let out onto the streets, or being euthanized. I'd *hope* that it was the former, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was meant to be the latter.

As someone who's been in and out of foster care multiple times, I relate to this episode. I already liked Loona's character, but this episode really hit home. (Pun intended.) Also, side note: the little girl in the sitcom who says she'll "take good care of the dog" is a direct nod to the abusive, vindictive little girl who was the villain in the 1997 animated movie: Cats don't Dance. I only realized it after watching your reaction, so yeah. Cool little tidbit I haven't seen anyone mention yet. Her name was Darla Dimple. Had to look the name up after this, but it's definitely her.😂
Yes, I recognized Darla the second she stepped out on stage! I'm happy to see someone else notice, too. The sudden influx of animals had me laughing. 🤣 I think she also looks a lot like Mary Louise Dahl , aka Baby Doll, from Batman: TAS.
@wild4934 yeah, typically you "age out at 18" (in most if not all states, I'm not 100% sure) at which point, they help process you out into the world. From what I've seen you'd typically stay with a foster family or group home for a bit longer just enough to start supporting yourself. While it's not seal tight, there are a bunch of supports in place for kids in foster care. Stuff like tuition assistance, help with job security, allowances, and housing aid, to list a few. It's a bit complicated, but it works well enough. It's nowhere near perfect tho. A decent percentage of kids who "age out" don't make it to 21 for reasons you can clearly infer. Those that do generally have it rough cause while the assistance is there, it's just meant to get you started, which in this society and economy, isn't enough at all for someone who didn't get a real upbringing. Let's just say I consider myself lucky to have been adopted at 16 and to have a wonderful family who's helped me more than I can express. I've been on deaths door too many times for many different reasons because of foster care, but I can say that while the system isn't great, I probably wouldn't be here without it.
@@rosenrot234 Honestly? THAT idea scares me. I CAN’T believe Stella has acted nice to him up until this point. What does she think is a healthy relationship!?!

We know that Stolas tried his hardest to make Octavia's childhood as perfect as can be, but we don't know exactly what Stella did back then...so maybe she either did try to make Octavia's childhood nice as well, or potentially tried to sabotage Stolas at every oppertunity she got... I at least belive that the relationship between Octavia and Stella was neutral for the most part, so from Octavia's perspective things may have at least not seemed as bad.
Stella still couldn't be bothered to go comfort her in the Loo Loo Land episode. And hearing how she talks about Octavia's egg also really shows she doesn't care. @@TheJeSTeR7530
The scene between Luna and Octavia felt like a conversation between an older snd younger me. It made me cry when Octavia mentioned how much it hurt that Stolas seemed angrier at Stella more than he loved Octavia . It took me so mamy years to realize that just because my parents couldn't always get along didn't mean they loved me less so hearing Luna try to help Octavia had me smiling so much. Glad to see you loving the series 💜
I remember folks hated this episode when it came out. Mostly because Blitz and Stolas didn't really talk about their last meeting. Like. Duh. They both bury their feelings A LOT so of course the plot of the episode would focus more on the father daughter relationship both of them have with their kids. These same folks also got horrendously angry at a future episode for a similar reason.
True true. Western Energy just got a lot of people mad when the tone disconnect seemed pretty intentional to me. They're not talking to each other so of course there's whiplash. Its what makes the "he can get hurt?" line hit everybody like a ton of bricks to the heart. Especially since this season has 2 pairings actually communicating. Moxxie and Millie and spoilers. In regards to the water bottle, it's easy to miss but there are posters in the background that state the toxicity of the water in the city. Hence why the director got burned.
I think my absolute favorite part in this episode is when the audience prompter in the studio switches from 'Laugh' to 'Panic'. Also with it showing 'Oh shit!' when Blitzo pulls out his flintlock.
This is one of my favorite episodes. It makes me cry every time because being a dad is worrying about your kids and stuff and I don’t know I just it all gets to me so much shame it just I don’t know I just just.
I just remembered that episode 2 in season 1 was a Stolas+Octavia episode, too... aand Blitz was there to help, too... 22:10 - this scene reminded me of season 1 episode 6 - when Blitz said in their fight "Who wants some quality time with daddy?" Sadly, after this episode was finished, Erica (Loona's voice actor) lost her Fiancé - that's why she was out for a while. In the next few episodes we won't hear her...
Stolas is such a good dad, and Blitzø is trying; he just has a lot of issues to work through. I love the fact that Millie and Moxxie won all those awards, all the stuff in the bag were music awards for their song
Seeing you react to helluva boss is a gift to me in this moment, i'm sick badly i can barely sleep and i cough so hard all the time it's like i'm gonna throw up, i have a fever, a cold and a headache, thank you for keeping me company
"Daughters and Fathers" is a pretty grate title for this episode. Seriously that Loona & Octavia moment is SO WHOLESOME! They are totally BSBFFs (Best Sisters, Best Friends Forever).
Things you might not have noticed in this episode Brandon Rager is blitz's voice actor. And Fia lands on and kills the actual Brandon when she arrives in LA. And when the gang arrives theres a sign about how toxic the water is which is why the bottle melted that one guy
for those of us who were with Helluva Boss out the gate, we didnt get to see the party at Bee's yet, so seeing Loona smile, let alone compliment Blitzo in this episode, it was an "awww!" moment.
Hey Alicia don’t know if you ever read these comments but here are some fun facts from this episode: 1. There is a poster when everyone except Via arrive in LA that explains the bottled water that you see later. 2. Moxie’s phone number is actually Fuck You in number form. 3. Blitz ends up cosplaying a play on of his actual voice actor Brandon Rogers. 4. Speaking of “Brandon Ragers when Via entered LA she accidentally landed on him killing him. 5. When Loona was about to age out of the shelter/adoption center she was either going to be put in the streets or a much darker fate. If you know you know. 6. That little girl actress was actually doing lines of Coke in her dressing room as seen when they show the crew member getting electrocuted by the teleprompter. 7. Those “Sinstagram” users are actual real Instagram users the creators made to kinda sneak in little moments in between the episodes until the fans got too hungry for content in which they stopped posting. There’s some for a lot of the Helluva Boss members like Blitz and Stolas and even Hazbin Hotel members like Angel Dust and I think Charlie. And I think that’s it. Probably didn’t get everything but I got the ones I could remember. Can’t wait for the next one!
Moxie making sure to pay artists just reminds me of all the times I did a "I'm sorry is this commission kinda complicated? I'll just tip them more." and overpaid for some commissions.
This episode hit me in so many places in such a short amount of time. Normally, I watch Helluva Boss to laugh, but this season is turning out to be full of more sad moments than comedic. *hugs*
Watching Octavia (and hearing her too - matter of voice and accent) reminds me so much my very close friend who have similar father issues/trauma. She tries desperately to impress him at all cost, and still does yet he still don't respects her. At least Octavia have some father attention.
I love this episode, makes me cry every time I watch it. I really hope that by the time the show ends we get to see the happy ending between Blitz and Stolas, them getting married, and Luna and Octavia being step sisters. It would be perfect.
Just to correct your chat, the head of the pound said after Loona ages out she will be out of their hair and good riddance because she'll never amount to anything. So no the phrasing does not imply she was going to be put down, only that she was going to be dumped out the place after she turned 18 and thus a legal adult.
It just dawned on me that Eldritch Gods exist when Stolas mentions Azathoth Tears. Azatoth the Dreamer or for some reason known as the “The Blind Idiot”. Odd title to give to a cosmic horror entity that creates everything in his sleep and must remain asleep by being sung to or he erases all of existence by waking up.
Poor Octavia and Stolas…Octavia’s gut punch of a line hurts and she doesn’t deserve the hell she’s being put through, and Stella’s awful for subjecting her daughter to that. But also Stolas was forced into a marriage he wanted no part of to give birth to another Geisha heir after him. It was the perfect tragedy that Stolas would be forced into his miserable and abusive marriage for 25 years, and while Octavia doesn’t know the complete truth, WE know as the watchers, that Stolas did stick around for 17 years just to give her some version of a normal life. He bottled down his affection for Blitzø for so long, and finally gave in after drinking a bunch at a party he wanted nothing to do with, and then being really suggestible and vulnerable when Blitzø just wanted to take the Grimoire from him. He tried for so long to keep up the ruse of everything being perfect for his daughter’s sake, and that’s no fault of her own either, because besides her very birth being out of her own control, she’s STILL just a kid at 17. They care about each other a great deal, and Octavia shouldn’t have to be burdened with knowing inappropriate or intimate details of who her father does or doesn’t like. It’s just such a rough set of circumstances that brought them here.
Dbzfangirl318 brings up the unfortunate circumstances of Helluva Boss’s Loona at 1:47, more so her wonderful V.A. Erica Lindbeck. Going on 2 years this summer, Lindbeck’s fiancée, Billy Kametz, passed away after a long battle with colon cancer, so for most of S2 past this episode, Loona’s mute, because Lindbeck was understandably grieving the loss of her love 😔, when these episodes were being dubbed. Loona’s got stock sounds of dog barks and whining in her place. Also doesn’t help that about a year ago, Lindbeck was harassed off Twitter/X, cuz some people began using ai to mimic her voice of a character she dubbed from a videogame (Futaba Sakura, from Persona 5). It’s incredibly f’d up to put it lightly. 😕
That has apparently been addressed that it wasn't the reason for that, just incidental...but it would be nice if she got a bit of the time to collect after that...I surely wasn't well after that myself (I was a follower of Billy's Twitch & a lot of his work back then)
@@GalekCI fell in love with his performances for Ferdinand from “Fire Emblem: Three Houses,” and Dr. Maruki from Persona 5 Royal. He was so positive, and he gave it his all in his performances.
Fun fact: Baste on what constitutes as a "true sin" and what has been shown in the show so far, both Loona and Octavia are pure souls without sin. I know the biggest part of this show is them killing humans as a hit agency in all, but Loona is a hellhound not a human and murder is the killing of one's OWN species not for survival purposes and Octavia never was shown leaving her house until this episode.
I'm not sure of what you mean: Loona has repeatedly shown several sins (envy, lust and, mostly, wrath). Can't argue about Octavia, tho: she's a precious baby and she must be protected at all costs.
6:46 oop I paused to put down my tea and open my laptop and accidentally daydreamed a scenario where Blitzø manages to jump through and it's a Blitzø & Octavia episode, and he's protecting her, and he calls Stolas (which gets through bc he's already on the phone, idk. This reason wouldnt make sense bc he's not on a phone call when Blitzø actually calls) And now...etc. Find each other idk.
Stolas just casually dropping the fact that the HH/Helluva universe is just a dream of the blind idiot god, and all the other cosmic horrors are out there too.
I used to work at a place that employed a bunch of older teens who were in foster care, but they aged out and moved away. I know the statistics are bad, but I hope they're all doing okay out there somewhere.
about the loona calling moxxie fat all the time thing. at least to me it's obvious that loona's projecting hard on moxxie. as we saw this very episode, the manager of loona's old orphanage was a rather hefty lady. i'm almost certain that moxxie's constant criticizing of her reminds loona of the treatment she received at the hands of the manager, so she's projecting hard on to moxxie and hurling out all the pent up insults meant for her towards him instead.
"You know, I never shot anyone though" ... oddly specific... :P Hmm... if Stolas and Blitz figure out things between them, their little girls might go from besties to full on sister one day. ^^
FYI the actor that Blitz replaced Brendon Ragers is two letters removed from Brandon Rogers, the VA's real name. (He will also voice Katie Killjoy in Hazbin) So nice that Loona can have this episode because we never hear her voice actress again. (seriously, don't come for me, I know of her loss) Just hope we can get her back before the season 2 hiatus is over.
The "my acting career" joke made me laugh when I had a rewatch of the season recently because of him getting the role of Katie Killjoy. I know Brandon's been on tv before. Was just cute Viv was just "I gotchu fam" and got her friend into Hazbin Hotel. Also Erica's lack of voice work in this season had nothing to do with her fiance passing away. She debunked that on Twitter. No drama is going on or anything.

Out of pure curiosity is it possible actually possible t age out of foster care and if so how does that work
@wild4934 yeah, typically you "age out at 18" (in most if not all states, I'm not 100% sure) at which point, they help process you out into the world.
@wild4934 sorry for the rant. It's obviously a big part of my life so it's something I feel strongly about.
@@LuciusNox no please rant all you like. I enjoy hearing about life experiences from others good or bad
"why does he hate her more than he loves me" every time, I CRY, EVERY FUCKIN TIME I HEAR THAT
"Well, how was I supposed to know you could spell? I've never seen you read!" My favourite insult of all time.
Stolas doesn’t “Hate Stella more than he loves his Daughter”. He is just a man who is finally sticking up for himself and made some mistakes.
A 20+ year damn of abuse just broke, it has momentum
True but remember. Octavia is 17 and only recently thought her parents were mostly okay with each other.
@@rosenrot234 Honestly? THAT idea scares me. I CAN’T believe Stella has acted nice to him up until this point. What does she think is a healthy relationship!?!
@@AnimeMe40 As horrible as Stella appears to be, she might actually have some compassion for her daughter and at least "pretended" that things were normal as well.
23:50 Every kid with divorced parents has felt that way in one way or another at some point. That line really hits hard.
To be fair its a gocal minority most the recent episodes get alot of prise acept from a few youtibe channela dedicated ro hating on the show
Some of the criticism is definitely valid, but as per usual it's blown completely out of proportion by a very vocal minority.
It just sucks when you wanna happily geek out about an episode and the internet is trying to rabidly destroy any genuine hype people feel. I hate those types of people. @@AroWolfArts
@@demonic_myst4503i do not consider myself a yt channel dedicated to hate on Helluva Boss, thank you, but i have my gripes with these episodes.
Oops is great though. Favourite of this season.
22:00 If you read the posters in the alley, they mention that the water in this version of LA is mostly acid. Hence why the water bottle burned that guy.
In regards to the water bottle, it's easy to miss but there are posters in the background that state the toxicity of the water in the city. Hence why the director got burned.
"How was I supposed to know you can spell, I've never seen you read." I think that's my favorite insult in the show.
I just love when Stolas or Octavia make owl sounds!!! So cute!!
I love that grifter at the end that sees a literal portal to hell open in a brick wall, and his first reaction is to try and push his mix tape.
If you’re wondering why the real Brennan Ragers never shows up it’s because Octavia accidentally crushed him when she teleported into the human world.
Damn, I never noticed that before 😅
I just remembered that episode 2 in season 1 was a Stolas+Octavia episode, too... aand Blitz was there to help, too... 22:10 - this scene reminded me of season 1 episode 6 - when Blitz said in their fight "Who wants some quality time with daddy?"
Sadly, after this episode was finished, Erica (Loona's voice actor) lost her Fiancé - that's why she was out for a while.
9:44 this scene made me realise how tall Stolas is. He is twice as tall as the dumpster which is most likely 7 feet tall which makes him 14 feet tall
"Daughters and Fathers" is a pretty grate title for this episode. Seriously that Loona & Octavia moment is SO WHOLESOME! They are totally BSBFFs (Best Sisters, Best Friends Forever).
Why does loona look so gorgeous, especially in their eye to eye heartfelt conversation??
We definitely need a complication video of Moxxie being Alicia’s favorite. I swear we do. He has to be her favorite character
She's gonna be eating well with the next bundle of episodes lol
Things you might not have noticed in this episode
Brandon Rager is blitz's voice actor. And Fia lands on and kills the actual Brandon when she arrives in LA.
And when the gang arrives theres a sign about how toxic the water is which is why the bottle melted that one guy
It is sad that Stolas didn't remember what day it was, but the argument between him and Stella is fucking hilarious
7:16 You can see that the person Via landed on when first teleporting to LA was the actual Brendon Rager lol
for those of us who were with Helluva Boss out the gate, we didnt get to see the party at Bee's yet, so seeing Loona smile, let alone compliment Blitzo in this episode, it was an "awww!" moment.
Hey Alicia don’t know if you ever read these comments but here are some fun facts from this episode:
Bee owns that orphanage
As someone who was born and raised in LA, I can vouch that it's basically just Hellaverse's Hell.
12:20 Most people think it is a Moose on the Canadian quarter but it is in fact a Caribou.
Moxie making sure to pay artists just reminds me of all the times I did a "I'm sorry is this commission kinda complicated? I'll just tip them more." and overpaid for some commissions.
You just know its gonna be a good day when Alicia uploads a new video 😊
This episode hit me in so many places in such a short amount of time. Normally, I watch Helluva Boss to laugh, but this season is turning out to be full of more sad moments than comedic. *hugs*
LETS GO BABY MORE HELLUVA BOSS
So fun fact, the actor that Blitz ended up filling in for was the same guy that threw up on the Hollywood Stars at the begining of the episode
I love Octavia, she's going for this goth persona when in reality she's just a real sweetheart.
"Why does he hate her more than he loves me?" its not just the line too, the delivery. Full credit to her actor!
It’s funny how the water burned the director since it was supposedly water from the LA river XD. So it was so polluted and toxic it acted like acid 😂
Can't wait to see how you handle the next episode.
When Octavia said "why does he hate her more than he loves me"......bruh, I cried actual tears
Honestly both episode 2s yanked on our heartstrings
Don't you love it when supposed to be step sisters get along?🥰
You can’t hear it but I’m doing my best Plankton impression.
*ahem*
YYEEESSSSS!!!!
theme for the S2: Daddy Issues, Trauma & *LORE*
If you wanna realize why the water burned them is cause when they first enter into LA, on the wall has a poster about the water pretty much being acid
i always assumed Stolas heated the water with Hell Magic lol, and since that was a fair point, i never looked into it XD
Loona and Octavia being besties was something on my wish list for this series since early on.
That has apparently been addressed that it wasn't the reason for that, just incidental...but it would be nice if she got a bit of the time to collect after that...I surely wasn't well after that myself (I was a follower of Billy's Twitch & a lot of his work back then)
Shoot, my b. Sorry for any misinformation I may have accidentally spread. Still, it’s not fair what happened to either of them.
@@GalekCI fell in love with his performances for Ferdinand from “Fire Emblem: Three Houses,” and Dr. Maruki from Persona 5 Royal. He was so positive, and he gave it his all in his performances.
Cant wait to see what her reaction will be to “oz” and “mam”
8:10 I forgot Alicia said that, then will seen this video I remember Alicia saying that omg
Which video?
@andrewgagne5063 thats the fun fact,I dont remember,I try to find it,I couldnt
Another great episode! I love that we get a bit more of Loona's past.
4:41: Exactly. You know who you are. Just don't.
Best Loona and Octavia platonic episode ever! 🥰🦉🐺
We need more of those two just hanging out being besties!
Your reaction vibes are immaculate. Entertaining as fuck!
10:03 why is you being mad face so adorable. Its the angry chibi face and its so cute😂😂😂
This is crack for my ears and eyeballs. Thankyou for making my days with these videos.😊
This is probably the best episode of the season tbh
26:11 loona's smile right there... thats the background of my phone's keyboard :3
Via did leave her house before: on season one Stolas took her to Loo Loo Land
I'm not sure of what you mean: Loona has repeatedly shown several sins (envy, lust and, mostly, wrath). Can't argue about Octavia, tho: she's a precious baby and she must be protected at all costs.
I was just wondering what to do now, and then I get this notif!!! Yay!!! ❤
When you watched episode three and you said “He IS your dad!” I was excited for when you got to this episode
Nah what you would call "the talk" was most probably casually covered when Blitzø first spied on the M&M practicing monogamy.
I can't wait to see her reaction to the last 2 episodes
OMG GUYS SHE FINALLY HAD THE TALK WITH CHAT🎉🎉
Loona’s shot at Moxie about how fat he was is a direct reference to the VA…😂😅
10:59 WAIT! Is the line “what you can’t memorize your spells” a DND reference?
*Enter's LA for the first time*
"Oh this doesn't look much different from Hell."
I'd be more offended as an Angelino if it weren't true
4:53 chat be real annoying 😂😂😂
6:46 oop I paused to put down my tea and open my laptop and accidentally daydreamed a scenario where Blitzø manages to jump through and it's a Blitzø & Octavia episode, and he's protecting her, and he calls Stolas (which gets through bc he's already on the phone, idk. This reason wouldnt make sense bc he's not on a phone call when Blitzø actually calls)
And now...etc. Find each other idk.
Notice Stolas hasnt called Blitzo Blitzi😢
Stolas just casually dropping the fact that the HH/Helluva universe is just a dream of the blind idiot god, and all the other cosmic horrors are out there too.
The funny thing about this video is that a thousand years would be to them as a month is to us.
Love this glimpse into Blitz and Loona's relationship
I almost thought that was Vortex on the bus at the first stop sitting in front of Octavia
I JUST NOTICED OCTAVIA KILLED BRANDON ROGERS WHEN SHE FELL XD
Thats a triple layered joke right there.
"You know, I never shot anyone though" ... oddly specific... :P
Hmm... if Stolas and Blitz figure out things between them, their little girls might go from besties to full on sister one day. ^^
FYI the actor that Blitz replaced Brendon Ragers is two letters removed from Brandon Rogers, the VA's real name. (He will also voice Katie Killjoy in Hazbin)
So nice that Loona can have this episode because we never hear her voice actress again.
Crazy how Blitzo's disguise is just his va lmao
The animal on the canadian quarter is a caribou not a moose. The snout and the patch of fur at the base of its neck is a dead giveaway.
At the end:(,) you still "can't take it with you".
