I would make hybrid follow function. Active track as a base and GPS track as supplementary if visual tracking interrupted or experience any other difficulty, GPS takes over
So, you've had success with this Litchi App. I just bought a DJI Mini 2, but I knew that "Follow Me" was not included in the intelligent flight modes. I have my Inspire 1 V2 if I need to use "Follow Me", but being able to grab and go with a smaller portable drone is always a plus. How has it worked for you? Pretty consistent? Thanks in advance.
Consistent enough. Main thing to consider is terrain and vegetation. So need to do test flight, measure height of buildings, tree's etc in are you planning to do follow mode. Wind is important factor too. Flying same direction as wind let me reach speeds up to 60km/h. In follow mode settings I highly recommend to activate follow terrain setting, cause otherwise if you heading up hill, your drone could crash in some obstacle. Any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Safe droning 😉
This is awesome & exactly what I want to do with mine. Can you set the drone at a particular height as to avoid trees etc and what speed is the max you can do so the mini 2 can keep up? Thanks for making this video 👍
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video. Yes, you can set a specific height for the drone to avoid obstacles, and it is crucial to select a setting to "follow terrain". For example, I was driving in a mountain region where elevation could change up to 300m in one road stretch and the drone kept my set height from the ground. I managed to reach nearly 60km/h drone speed when driving in the same direction as the wind, but not this time as it is quite windy around mountains. On a relatively calm day, it is easy to achieve 40km/h. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, I'll do my best to respond. Have a safe droning!
I don't think mode selection plays difference for follow mode. I had it set on normal and drone could reach speed of 60km/h which would be top speed on sports mode. Next time I'll pay more attention, to confirm that.
@@laurisbluzma7506 Thank you for the answer. It turned out to be a great video. I didn't think that a drone could follow obstacles at a great distance and height.
I'm using the Litchi app on an Android device. Unfortunately I don't know much about iPhones. I would recommend you to get in touch with Litchi support and if they can't resolve the issue, ask for a refund.
According to information provided by Litchi: Litchi for DJI Drones is compatible with: Mini 2, Mini SE (version 1 only), Air 2S, Mavic Mini 1, Mavic Air 2, Mavic 2 (Zoom/Pro), Mavic (Air/Pro), Phantom 4 (Standard/Advanced/Pro/ProV2), Phantom 3 (Standard/4K/Advanced/Professional), Inspire 1 (X3/Z3/Pro/RAW), Inspire 2 and Spark.
Hi! So far I had no issues with this app, but I wouldn't delete original app just in case. If, for some reason Litchi crashes, I can switch over to DJI Fly app. Litchi still getting developed and more features going to be added in the future, for instance, there is no app gallery yet, all content available only from memory card in the drone. One thing to be aware, warranty not gonna cover your drone if something happens while you flying using Litchi app.
Insane civilian tech.
Good stuff, GPS follow me is WAY more reliable than Active Track, DJI should bring it back.

Nice work!!!
Thank you!
cool that...might try that meself

hello, you have used the tracking mode ? or fallow mode? thank you for the answer 😉
Hi there! I was using follow mode.
Are you able to use the follow mode with sport mode?
I don't think mode selection plays difference for follow mode. I had it set on normal and drone could reach speed of 60km/h which would be top speed on sports mode. Next time I'll pay more attention, to confirm that.
Hello, at what maximum speed did you drive the car during the video shooting?
Hi, maximum speed was around 60km/h. In a calm day I'd say 45km/h would be most Ideal for drone to keep up

never worked for me . the drone stay in one place
the Litchi app won't show my dji mini 2 se on my phone I have a iphone 14 plus. Is there a trick to getting it to work with the mini 2 se or iphone?

@@laurisbluzma7506 oh I’m gonna contact them and ask them why won’t the litchi app work with DJI mini 2 since it does work with other DJI drones.
Mini 2 SE isn’t compatible with Litchi in my research, that’s why I bought a mini 2 so I could use Litchi and my iPhone.
so this is a seperate app then the DJI one?! im so curious! can you make a video on it? thanks!
Yes It is a separate app. Not long ago DJI gave Access to third party developers to create applications for DJI drones.
Hello gay, Very Nice , i have one these, and great drone 😅
Bos dji mini2 se support????
From information I heard, it supports mini2 se. But I haven't tried myself.
Dose it really work
It really works. Like magic.... 😉
Does it work on mini 1? Has anyone tried?

Thank you very much sir. One more thing, if i use two apps, would drone or remote have any problem?
@@rimandas9547 you can't use two apps simultaneously, but you can switch from one to another.
@@rimandas9547 keep the DJI FLY app as a back up! You can always go back to it in case of emergencies.
