    It’s crazy how good Brian is at Magic. When he is playing random decks he does well, and when he plays the t1 decks he does even better. The amount of trophy leagues lately is insane. Keep up the good work.

    I think this deserved an A+ performance, a 97 to be exact 😆 and of course 💯 for content. The deck looks good on you😎

    I know you've talked in the past about the tension between spoiling the trophy result of a league for consistent viewers vs getting new viewers in the door. I appreciate the small steps you've taken to mitigate this; in fact with this video, I didn't even notice the trophy in the thumbnail or the 5-0 at the end of the title and was able to enjoy this video much more as a result. As someone who watches most of your videos (based on my interest in the deck, not the record), now I can just not look at the thumbnail and still enjoy the ride of not knowing the finishing record. Appreciate the content Bosh!

    Once again giving thanks for how you do the little things to avoid spoiling the 5-0 for us regulars while still putting it into the algorithm

    Tony cooked up a real winner. Better than 8-cast because the combo win sometimes gets them from out of nowhere.

    • @TheForbiddenDance
      @TheForbiddenDance Рік тому +1

      8 cast seems to whiff a lot more than this and closes the game more slowly, agree with you

    • @grahamoliver1470
      @grahamoliver1470 Рік тому

      I have a hard time saying it is directly better than 8 cast. The 2 have a lot of overlapping cards but are completely functionally different decks (even more different if you consider patchwork stompy different than 8 cast). One is an outright dedicated combo deck and the other is an aggressive prison deck. Both are very fast, both struggle against bowmasters, both bad against artifact hate. I would personally give it to 8 cast, although I think both are solid tier 1.5 decks right now that are very viable.

    Training for the NYC marathon next year, I have found your vids to be the perfect companion piece to the long hours on the various pieces of gym cardio equipment until Minnesota thaws in spring. Love that the ~2010 MTGTheSource rhetoric lives on in today's world (I assume you had an account there?). Anyway, keep doing what you're doing!

    Why aetherflux over something like thassa’s oracle? 🤔

    • @TonyScapone
      @TonyScapone Рік тому +4

      Because aetherflux is just a better card / effect on it's own. The main requirement is to beat the one ring. Outside of drawing the entire deck, reservoir is a better card that gives us much needed life gain and synergizes well with PO. Can also be cast with emry.

  • @LarryActionGlass
    @LarryActionGlass Рік тому +2

    • @TonyScapone
      @TonyScapone Рік тому

    I don't unverstand why no Walking ballista?

    • @TonyScapone
      @TonyScapone Рік тому +3

      Life gain and being able to win from a short PO is more valuable. Ballista only wins when we draw the whole deck, at which point as long as we can beat a one ring trigger, it doesnt matter. Ballista was the win con just before reservoir.

    • @theatraide8063
      @theatraide8063 Рік тому

      @@TonyScapone i thought it would be a nice additional win-con plus something against Delver, Elves and goblins before infinite

    • @TonyScapone
      @TonyScapone Рік тому

      @theatraide8063 it's great. But reservoir is better and both proved to be unnecessary. We have been crushing tempo decks. Cradle control and Sultai Beans are the only decks really giving us trouble right now. Otherwise we lose most often to drawing 30 cards but no Ring.
