If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.
I have lots of footage to yet edit. Petchaburi Soi 10 soon. I've did videos near Victory Monument heading to Saxaphone Jazz Club. So much to yet film and explore
I enjoyed Vanilla Sky Rooftop Bar at Skyview Hotel. My friend did, too. Next to the Skyview is a good Japanese restaurant - in a historic home. I think it was the spot you said was a private residence.
So many great restaurants in cool older buildings. I filmed a great older teak covered house the other day. Today it's a small restaurant near Siam. Thanks for watching Major
Hi, Joe... I'm thinking of visiting Thailand. Not sure, but I've always wanted to go. How long eoes your visa last? Which airline do you recommend? Any tips on surviving that flight? Are there any banking issues I should be aware of? Does one need shots, or covid tests? Is there an online source for information on traveling to Thailand? Thanks. Chris
Hey Chris. That's a long answer. It's a good idea for a video. I'll make that soon. The short answer is fly west coast to Japan. 10 hours. I usually get the comnect flight in an hour and continue 6 hours to Thailand. You can pick a flight that leaves 5 hours later, etc... if you need a break. Avoid Chinese carriers like China Southern. Often cheaper, but they can be rough flights. ANA and Japan Air are great. Other flights like Cathay to Hong Kong are 14 or 15 hours, then 3 more to Bangkok. Tough unless you're I'm 1st class or business. Tickets have gone up, but premium economy might be worth paying if it's less than $400 more round-trip. Talk to doc, but no real shots. No vaccine card is needed today to enter Thailand. I had to show one to transit Japan, but that all is changing. I'm not sure. You get 45 days when you arrive at airport. I'll make a how to video.
Bank issues. Bring clean hundreds to exchange at money window. You can also use ATM but it will be what your bank charges. Cheapest is $6 to get max out around $250US
OK man hope that helps. I've got some videos scheduled to release. But I'll get that made, hopefully in the next few weeks. Heading to Phuket soon. See ya later
@@EagerExpat Thank you very much for the response, Joe. Much appreciated. The things I'm thinking about are travelling within the country. Transportation out of Bangkok. I'd like to check out the north and south of the country, Chang Mai and Phuket. I have heard that Thailand is a great place because it is a Buddhist country; so they treat the animals and environment with more respect than, say, San Felipe, Mexico. Anyway, a video on the process would be welcome, and any and all travel tips. How long after you arrived did you feel "normal?" Take good care. You sound great, and your vids are terrific. Chris
I didn't miss it, I avoided getting yelled at. Those ladies don't turn their head like in Cowboy. They might throw a bottle at a camera. I'm half way kidding, but I understand they don't wanna be filmed. I've gave a fast look in other videos, but as you know it's mostly ladies sitting outside. I try to respect the ladies, but also UA-cam is clamping down. All those hidden camera guys are being demonitized. Chevy or Pepsi doesn't really want an add between hidden camera at Cowboy at 1am. It just takes one person to complain, and they will, and they stop paying what little you get in ad revenue. All the red light guys have moved to only earning from Pay Pal or donations. The way things are going, they'll probably still remove the channel at some point. I have a very innocent daytime look at the red light district in Tijuana. It has 260,000 views and maybe a 1000 a day. It makes $40 or $50 bucks a month. It's almost G rated. Just the title gets me complaints. They shut the video down because some preacher thinks it's smut. I appeal. Someone at UA-cam has to watch the video. They agree its fine and turn it back on. Of course I lost 2 weeks of views when it was a under review. If it showed some ladies out front etc.. It probably would get banned. Don't get me wrong, I love Soi 24 Mango, etc.. But UA-cam doesn't. Thanks for watching Paul
Le Raffine condos are around 170,000 bht per month. They all have a pool on the balcony. Two stories inside. Most need a renovation believe it or not 😂

Year later and you spoke it into existence.
Soi 24 is a great street
Do you mainly focus on Sukvumvit? Would be great to see a video of Soi Rangnam near Victory Monument. It was always an interesting road.

@@EagerExpat Helps a lot. Can't wait to hear and see what you think of Phuket. We're SoCal beach dudes; I hear the Thai beaches are unreal.
You missed the very interesting and entertaining side Soi tucked in just to the left as you walk in Soi 24. massage, bars etc

Ya, I've seen a couple Le Raffine around town. Nice looking building.
