Me too! My first tomatoes are ripening now (just 3) but I'm so happy. My cucumbers are just little baby things, but I'm so excited. However, I still don't know what are suckers. I don't want to cut the wrong thing.
LaSaundria Bass I don’t have any tomatoes yet but i do have some tiny baby cucumbers! Aren’t they just so cute? I hope my quarantine garden does ok - hope yours does too!
Perfect timing Jag! I got a determinant tomatoe plant, because I'm potting it in a container bag. I've been doing a lot of research. I hope I have a good harvest! 🙏 🤗 Thanks so much for all these tips!
Hi thank you for inspiring me . I am making raised bed 24inch high 4x8 feet and ordered garden soil and set to root coriander, green onions, mint and shallots last night . I am a front line health care worker so hopefully; gardening will be a relief. Thanks for the informative videos. Please keep them coming . Stay safe.
Can confirm that this farm produces TOP NOTCH quality tomatoes. I have always thought I was allergic but I turns out I am just allergic to pesticides that the grocery store tomatoes have. There were at least 5 varieties that came with my vegetable box and I can't wait to get more. Thank you for your amazing produce!
Dude, you are awesome! Love your channel, my 10yo son loves learning from your videos too. We have a small successful garden thanks to you, keep up the good work!
Hi Jag! You are my favorite gardening channel. You explain things clearly so that novice gardeners like me can understand 🙂 Keep up the great work! Cheers 👍 🍺
i had been making the mistake of lots of nitogren, and/or water and both, i learned a lot from this vidoe, cant wait to stress the plant :)..thanks for the awesome tips..
Hello from chi town... I'm so happy I came across your channel Jack. Your so easy so fallow and so much information. Keep informing us. Stay safe. Wich you happy growing.
Thank you Jag, very informative, such beautiful tomatoes. I've only planted some tomatoes a few days ago, so your tips came in really handy. God bless you, your family ❤️ and your gardening.
Thanks, Jag. My tomato plant broke, so I trimmed off the broken end and put it in water. I wan't sure if it would work, but I looked up videos and saw yours. I knew you'd have the answer!
Thanks, I wish I had seen this before my cherry tomatoes had turned into big bushes. Going to try and prune some. I have fruit growing, just need to get these plants under control and I will make sure to let the drip do its thing and stop extra watering.
Love watching your channel I'm putting in a garden this year with raised beds and vertical trellis with string after seeing you do yours that saves tons of end of season clean up and you are easy to understand on how and why to do things love the accent keep it up 🤓
I'm getting so much rain right now I don't think I can trick the tomatoes into thinking they're not going to get enough. LoL. I've got a cherry tomato too for this very reason. I'll follow your advice with it. Thank you.
This is super helpful. It's my first time growing produce, and I've had mixed results. My beefsteak tomato plants have some rapid growing fruit, but not much in quantity. I also have a sweetie that has tons on it, but they've been slow to get bigger. Given that my plants look like a jungle, I'm probably over-watering them. I'll definitely try your methods.
Great video. I pick my fruit and eat it within minutes. Full nutritional value comes from ripe fruit and vegetables that are eaten shortly after harvest. You are eating living food at that point. New sub.
Great points. My tomato plants are flowering well but not bearing fruits. I have a patio garden on the 16th floor. So I had to do hand pollination. I’ve been trying various methods. What’s your best hand pollination method? Please share.
I wish I saw this video in the spring! I bought heirloom plants to try, 1 indeterminate and 1 determinate. The indeterminate has a lot of small green fruit on it. I got so excited, but weeks later and nothing is going on with them. Not getting bigger or riper :( I know what to fix for next year though. The indeterminate, I guess I can still have hope for. It doesn't have nearly as much fruit as the indeterminate but the fruit it has is a little bigger
Hi, I love your channel, great information. Can you do a pruning video? How often and how to tackle the different plants? It would be cool to see all your pruning tips in one spot. Thank you and keep up the great work!
I planted some plants sideways last weekend. It took some getting used to being in that awkward position though, and now my hip is sore. It took me a half hour just to stand up. Oh well, I hope you don't have to harvest the ripe tomatoes that way also. :)
I tried hanging pots last year under part shade so I didn’t have to support the stems, they were looking great until our Australian summer heat wave destroyed them. Our climate at times is so unforgiving. One extreme heat day can destroy the whole veggie patch ☹️
I have a nice green indeterminate Big boy Tomato plant. Three small Tomatoes appeared early but all w beginning of end rot. No further fruit appeared. BTW It's a mid to late season harvest plant. Why 3 early Tomatoes?? I realized I hadn't added any Tomato food solution since first planted as it was recommended every 14 days. So I added Miracle Grow, thinking it needed potash or potassium for fliwers! Result? The three original small tomatoes Stopped further end rot but now flowers fail to appear?? (or were lost!) Are the nutrients not being absorbed through damaged roots? (Plant foilage has been nice green). Nice big plant but not getting flowers. Should I just wait since it's a "mid to late season harvest type"? Big Boy
Lovely vooce you have. Excellent advice you keep on giving .....I wish you could give us specific tips for gardening in India. All the best and thanks for your inputs for growing vegetables.
Hello MyDear..I'm in Texas . It's very hot . I've started to water my plants every other day . And I dont know what to give my tomatoe plants to make them keep producing. They really haven't done as well as other years but I just want to keep them at least till late july. Thank you .have a blessed day.
I'm not sure I understand. I usually get a gallon bucket of cherry tomatoes off one plant, so now I grow much less and still have many to sell and give away. So I am assuming that is good for the area you live in or early in the season. Or the variety, because they don't produce in trusses. I enjoy your channel. You are always doing fun and challenging things *with so much enthusiasm,* its infectious and motivating. Thank you!!
When is the next video coming, it's been too late? Are you really planting the trees? I'm checking your channel atleast twice each day. Veryyy excited for tree planting video🤩
Nice tips thanks. I bought some cherries from market and separated seeds inside of it. They did not grow at first 10 days. After that they suddenly raised from the ground and now growing so fast and so many of them that I don't have enough space and earth in containers. Growing tomatoes are hard. They are Uncertain plants like grow whenever they want.
Do you have a video on how you create the string support. for 2 weeks of the summer i am not home to water and prune and no one who waters my garden takes care of my garden. when i come back they are out of control and drooping. this technique would help me i would love to know how you do it. because my way is just okay but needs to be adjusted when i'm away and no one does it for me.
I left my young heirloom tomato plants in the hot Texas weather and they wilted and died so moved them to a greenhouse. Some are growing well after 4 weeks but other are still so tiny. What should i do to encourage growth? Thanks
Hello there.. Can you please make a vid about what veggies to grow for those people who live at country has ++32 degrees celsius (tropical) .. Thanks 😊😊😊
I just planted some tomatoes. This channel has inspired me to garden I only used vegetable soil on the ground and fertilizer. I’m trying to remove some grass still from the garden. Is the a better way other than Continuing to dig up the grass from the lawn. I’m struggling with the weeds. As well as I use fertilizer there is a lot of flies how to I help this? ?
Great video! Thank you. I live in a hot dry area of California and so my cherry tomatoes have been producing a tough skin. Any tips? Also, my heirloom tomato plant has not produced a single fruits this is the first time I’ve ever had this problem. I planted it the same time as my cherry plants.
I didn’t use mulch for my tomatoes this year. I put down landscape fabric and have the tomatoes in the holes. Is this ok? I can’t fertilizer with granules so I use fish emulsion
Hello Jag , watching your video I started liking gardening and started with couple of plants . My tomato plant was grown healthy with flowers and seeds but the tiny tomato which looks like pepper corn size doesn’t increase its size it’s been like that last 20 days . Is there anything which I’m doing wrong . I have given miracle grow plant food every 10 days . Please help
You give important information in a short amount of time. Thanks for the great info
Iv grown tomato plants from the seeds of my kitchen tomatoes 🍅 Now how do I know if they are determinate or indeterminate tomatoes? Please guide!
How will I know the right type of Tomato? Deferment or otherwise
Thank you for the much needed information. Growing tomatoes and cucumbers for the first time this year. I actually watched this video twice.
Me too! My first tomatoes are ripening now (just 3) but I'm so happy. My cucumbers are just little baby things, but I'm so excited. However, I still don't know what are suckers. I don't want to cut the wrong thing.

i had been making the mistake of lots of nitogren, and/or water and both, i learned a lot from this vidoe, cant wait to stress the plant :)..thanks for the awesome tips..
So am I correct, too much water can cause the plant to NOT produce flowers??
Short but very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you for giving us a lot of wisdom for helping us grow a better garden.

I really learned a lot about cherry tomatoes. Thanks!
Love watching your channel I'm putting in a garden this year with raised beds and vertical trellis with string after seeing you do yours that saves tons of end of season clean up and you are easy to understand on how and why to do things love the accent keep it up 🤓
can you show a full picture of the trelis you are using for the tomato plants? how are the threads tied to the wooden steak at the top?
You're doing great work. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
I really like to see your happiness with your tomato harvest but I would have liked to see how the strings are attached at the top too!
Yes more specific on how you wrap the string. And what avoids heavy tomatoes from breaking branches?🍅
Great video Jag. I’m interested in how you made your tomato support with the string that helps keep the tomato’s growing up
I'm getting so much rain right now I don't think I can trick the tomatoes into thinking they're not going to get enough. LoL. I've got a cherry tomato too for this very reason. I'll follow your advice with it. Thank you.

I wish I saw this video in the spring! I bought heirloom plants to try, 1 indeterminate and 1 determinate. The indeterminate has a lot of small green fruit on it. Beautifully explained, tnks

Planting sideways , that’s a new one to me. Makes sense
I planted some plants sideways last weekend. It took some getting used to being in that awkward position though, and now my hip is sore. It took me a half hour just to stand up. Oh well, I hope you don't have to harvest the ripe tomatoes that way also. :)
I plant mine when they are much smaller. I take the leaves off the bottom half and bury them to that point.
I tried hanging pots last year under part shade so I didn’t have to support the stems, they were looking great until our Australian summer heat wave destroyed them. Our climate at times is so unforgiving. One extreme heat day can destroy the whole veggie patch ☹️
New to me too but he obviously knows his stuff so gonna take his advice on this 🙂
It's called trenching if you want to do more research.
Hello,
Could you please share where you attach the strings of the cherry tomatoes above? Thanks

You advise is awesome and my home water bill is going to be less... Thanks for your channel
