Like hey lets have a great competition between two awesome drivers, but i'm gonna put so much shit in the rules it makes it impossible to follow or figure out a strategy for the viewer, and I'm gonna talk while the players are swinging because Brendan
That's why I like the channel though. He's a character. Some of these guys that are really good at golf or great teachers are super boring. Malaska. Great teacher. His voice can put anybody to sleep. He sounds like the Motel 6 commercial guy.
I remember when Jason Zuback broke 200 mph ball speed swinging out of his shoes and everyone was wigging out. Here's Drew swinging like he is trying to hit it 150 yards and achieving 200 mph ball speed. Amazingly calm swings on both these guys!
Milo's superior fundamentals on display ...
The consistency of his driver is almost tour caliber, distance and ACCURACY! The MOST IMPORTANT thing in golf.
Drew looks more of a Long Drive specialist, crazy length, but very erratic.
That would not hold up over a 4 day tournament, while Milo could hang around for the weekend with his swing.

milos and drew are the best guys on the channel , the way they swing can be used by any golfer, they both have simple techniques and explain it very well . ive been watching this channel for years and its my favorite series. would be cool to see a profession fitting with these two guys. then one with brendan

Brandon, I like the basis of your channel. Picking the brains of good golfers and various coaches. It would do you well to learn some basic techniques of interviewing. When to talk and ask questions and when to let the pro do their thing. You are there to guide the person. There is no point in the random comments during Milo's backswing during a competition.
A real David vs Goliath! Congrats Milo! Surprised at how much Drew hooked it-Milo's suggestion to have Drew learn how to fade it will really help him. You should have used new balls--my only criticism! Really good content from BBG!

No, but as a kid I could dunk a basketball run a 4.4 40 and throw a baseball pretty hard.

Don't you think the penalty and bonus should have been a percentage or degree off the total distance? The farther the ball goes the more off line it'll be even though it's on a straight line. A shot hit 5º off line that flies 340 yards will be much farther off the center line than will a ball hit 300 yards.

I think it is a really good test of who’s driving skill would pay off on the course.more. The other way we talked about doing it was putting a target out at 500 yards and just seeing who was closer to that target.
The thing I would like to do is make the first round 2x minus yards offline for going left and the second round double 2x minus yards offline for going right I think that pretty accurately describe how you have to hit balls in a round of golf. Please keep the bonuses the way they were
An interesting comparison in the first set Drew averaged 319 and 38 yards off line or 12% off line, and I averaged 297 and 12 yards off line or 4% off line.
In the second set Drew averaged just under 330 and 35 yards off line or 10.6% off line, and I averaged 303 and 11 yards off line or 3.6% off line. From my research tour players generally have about a 5% dispersion cone.
I liked the bonuses based on yardage. The woods won't care how far away the tee box is. The ball will still be sitting under that bush, never to be found.

This is a perfect example of the difference between pro and am. Drew is a beast, but Milo’s consistency was incredible.

The range was empty. We could have fished them back. If we find another worthy opponent we will use real balls. Have to anyways because they both broke their driver heads doing this

I would like to see Drew give up just 10 yards or so to gain accuracy. His left shoulder moves so fast into the follow through that a freer, natural release is unlikely. Milo can do it playing a modern fade, Drew needs better timing which would come from a less forceful release (Adam Scott, for example). Also that move off the ball on the bs is a bit excessive.
How did Drew go from 3408 after ball 13 to 3997 after ball 14..?
ya 312 + 3408 =3720, he probably should of been using feet offline for the bonus to make it easier

I don’t know how fair this game is haha. One guy carries it 275 the other 320? You’re not as accurate with a 4iron as you are with an 8 iron. If your are 5 degrees right with a 275 carry its more pronounced at 320.
U lose 1 yard for every yard offline. It’s not a long drive contest, it’s total drive
In reality I carry the ball with real balls around 320 and Drew Carries it around 350 the wind in our face and range balls didn’t show how far we were actually hitting it. Bryson and Cameron Champ are right around 190 ball speed DJ and Rory are around 180 on course to give you an idea how fast these were.

Not picking on Drew but this was not as close as that scoring showed. Milo just put on a master class in driving. Everybody wants high ball speed but few can control it. Also, I find it odd you couldn’t scrape up (or a sponsor) 28 premium balls for the contest? ? 😂
Good video. Somethings not quite right with the numbers though, the ball speeds were high enough so it’s not the range balls despite what has been said. You can set Trackman in normalization mode to take the wind out of the calculation. Milo’s carry and total were very short for 180-184 ballspeeds unless his AOA is off. Higher tee would absolutely help. Expect 315-318 carry at those bs.

Both are really impressive in different ways, where would Milo's Total Driving sit with the PGA Tour ? I would imagine his total driving would be better than average compared to the Tour average. Drew 's club face control just does not look to be at the same level, as Milo's it looks like he is between a long drive expert and a really good player and can't make his mind up which he wants to be. He has a great swing and is at a point where he can go 2 ways, tidy up and get more consistent and maybe cut the speed a bit and be a really good player or go all out and get into long drive where he won't be as straight but get longer.
I think you pegged us pretty well. Drew is just deciding what to do with his amazing talent.

You guys really shld count like a long drive comp which is what this is. All this bonus and minus shit is just dumb. If its on the fairway, then just count the distance. None of that bonus shit. If its not on the fairway, it doesnt count. The longest drive wins. The adding up of ALL the drives defeats the whole point which is to see who can hit it longest. Its so simple guys.. dont make it complicated 😂.
