Nobody wanted Isiah on the Dream Team! He had on court beef with Maguc, Bird, Pippen, Jordan, Malone and Stockton.
No he didn’t. Him and Stockton were close. Stockton had Isiah walk him to the stage during his HOF induction. Malone and Isiah have a one on one video on YT expressing their love and respect for each other. Larry Bird and Isiah never had beef. He didn’t have beef with Magic, Magic had beef with him because he was told Isiah said somethings about Magic that were lies, hence Magic apologizing PUBLICLY to Isiah on TV a few years ago. Pippen and Jordan? Yes, there was beef.
@@MrRed-yj3my respecting someone and liking them are two different things. You don't remember when Malone and Isiah was about to go to blows cause Malone elbowed his ass! I'll give you Stockton, but all of the major players had their issues with him. Maybe not to the extent of MJ and Pip, bit they had issues.

The easiest way to put it is that multiple people did not want Isiah on the team. But the most influencial person was Jordan, who said the 1992 Dream Team is a "social event".
Isiah was going around saying rumors about Magic Johnson's HIV, so at the time, Magic did not want to play with him.

MJ's first All Star game has been referred to as The Freeze Out Game because it's alleged that IT led a group of players who wouldn't pass MJ the ball.

I watched Michael Jordan during an interview, and because Isaiah Thomas and a few Detroit Pistons didn't show the Bulls sportsmanship after The Bulls beat Detroit in the 3rd round of the Eastern Conference Championship instead of congratulating them Isaiah nem' ran straight to the locker room. Michael Jordan said, because of this is why he hates Isaiah Thomas. In fact I was a fan of Isaiah Thomas before that incident, i don't hate him, but i stopped being a fan of his ever since. 💯
Isaiah went hard after Magic when he came out as HIV positive. He said some pretty horrible things about Magic. Most of the big stars on TDT hated Isaiah. No one, but Detroit fans, were surprised when he wasn't included.

The NBA wanted a team of people who could get along, and sell the game to the world, with no internal bickering. A team who could showcase the game to the world, and to grow a world wide audience. Any infighting would eventually come out, and it would also negatively impact on the teams results, and how they carried themselves. This is important, especially when you remember the skirmish Charles Barkley had against Angola and how the rest of the players could pull Charles into line, and curbed his behaviour, and changed the worlds perception of the team.
As long Isiah didn't play in the dream team, i don't care bout anything 😅

John Salley on Why Everyone Hates John Salley
When the Dream Team was selected I remember hearing that Magic vetoed IT being on the team. It wasn't until much later that I heard it was MJ. Whatever the case, IT was good enough to be on that team but his exclusion probably led to better team chemistry. Watching IT over the last few years I can see why he was disliked by some players.

Isiah was jealous of Jordan. I’m sure a lot of players were but Isiah was the most vocal. They all should thank Jordan. He made all of them richer. The NBA became more popular because of Jordan. More viewers meant more money for everyone. Tiger did the same for golf. Pushed the sport to new levels of popularity. Everyone made more money because Tiger was so popular.
