Modded Rolex won’t hold value anywhere to the level he’s implying even if the first owner took the hit. Selling this will require someone wanting it as bad as you and that’s harder than you think.

This way is not something Rolex watch owners do; and yes I own a couple of Rolexes and a plethora of different types of watches. Unfortunately he has learnt this style from his mate; and he has definitely learnt his magpie idea of a watch from him. Just because it’s bright and shines - doesn’t make it a good watch/choice - especially if it’s aftermarket additions.

AD's are supposed to tell the client that the Rolex cannot be serviced. Key word is supposed. They might take your watch, send it to an SC, and waste your time. That's why you have to look for the right AD, or else you're screwed.
Congrats mate on your first Rolex. I am a big watch enthusiast and have a small collection myself. However, I feel like you should have bought the factory piece, especially for your first Rolex. The attention to detail, the polishing, the factory dial with 18k applied white gold markers and hands, trust me it’s a work of art by Rolex. However, the after market dial/bracelet is beautiful but just not the same!

That shits going to scratch and break like crazy.” Turns out it’s not typical ceramic like you would think of. It’s an ultra high-tech form of ceramic made from scratch by Rolex and it’s virtually indestructible unless you like take a hammer to it and purposefully try to destroy it. Otherwise it is unequivocally unmatched in its strength and robustness. I have a few myself and the ceramic bezel is the only part of the watch, along with the crystal, that doesn’t have a scratch on it.
@@michaelfleming8490 Nice to hear from your experience. I only came along the ceramics topic during my studying and thats just a typical characteristic of ceramic material in general. Definitely Rolex made sure to test their watches and choose/create a durable ceramic. I like the look of the dark side of the moon watch because it’s so understated. In Germany there is a very strong social envy so it’s nice to not attract more attention than you need to. People don’t think too well of you if you drive a fancy car or wear a flashy watch.

Seth is the coolest dude. I worked in luxury retail for a few years and lots of salesmen are pompous jerks, but Seth reminds me of my favorite people in the industry. If I’m ever fortunate enough to buy a Rolex it’ll be from him.
Of all the different salesmen that Adam and Michael have dealt with, Seth is by far the best. He just talks to you like another person. No pressure to buy, he lets the watches do the talking.

You never purchased a Rolex. Rolex never made that watch. Rolex never sold that watch. The papers are invalid because that's not a watch rolex sold. You cannot have it serviced by Rolex.
Seiko’s are well respected in the world of horology. Seiko makes some of the finest watches in the world. 8R35, 8R55, 9S65, 9R65... arguably better than Rolex movements.
buddy add 50$ and buy Citizen eco drive bl8700 there is lots of otpion. I'm IT/ET engineer, using it everyday during the work, climbing swimming since 2015. swear I never sew anything reliable like that. impressive watch.
He did not tell you when you customize Rolex is cool and unique but downside is Rolex themselves will reject servicing that piece unless you remove the dlc costing $800-1200 then you can send it in costing 850-1400 depending on what service your getting on the upside in-house will service any watch unless they cannot get the part

Well, this Sub looks not bad but it won't be ever accepted by Rolex for a service. Just keep in mind, that you will be able to service it only by independent watchmaker.

Sweet watch man, I’m kinda surprised a big guy like you bought such a small watch though. I think I’m a fair bit smaller than you (5’7 220lbs) and I find the deep sea perfect.
I own the Rolex 2-tone Submariner with blue face and bezel. I love it. It keeps incredible time. When I set it I use the digital world time and it’s almost always within a few seconds.
Those coatings always wear out over time. PVD coated pens look like shit after you use them for a longer time. Stainless steel on the other side looks good after years of use.

Exactly, as far as I'm aware, Rolex considers them "Fake" Rolexes and won't warranty them or repair them. Plus PVD finishes wear off.

The watch is worth less customized, but if you don’t sell it, it doesn’t make a difference.
It will probably save the watch in the long term and protect it from scratches. I think if you buy a Rolex it should be for life.

Seiko’s are well respected in the world of horology. Seiko makes some of the finest watches in the world. 8R35, 8R55, 9S65, 9R65... arguably better than Rolex movements.

He did not tell you when you customize Rolex is cool and unique but downside is Rolex themselves will reject servicing that piece unless you remove the dlc costing $800-1200 then you can send it in costing 850-1400 depending on what service your getting on the upside in-house will service any watch unless they cannot get the part

Well, this Sub looks not bad but it won't be ever accepted by Rolex for a service. Just keep in mind, that you will be able to service it only by independent watchmaker.
True, but I’m sure Seth has a watchmaker that services his watches. Probably every watch he sells is opened and the movement is checked to see if it is a real Rolex.

I own the Rolex 2-tone Submariner with blue face and bezel. I love it. It keeps incredible time. When I set it I use the digital world time and it’s almost always within a few seconds.
One day I will fly from Bulgaria and buy a watch from Seth - such a nice guy

DLC coating on watches scratches like a mfer(and you can´t get it polished), just be aware.
You can ask federico talks watches about it, he confirms in a recent video.
Those coatings always wear out over time. PVD coated pens look like shit after you use them for a longer time. Stainless steel on the other side looks good after years of use.

And worst case you can always get it polished.
After a quick google to websites and forums it's the opposite that's stated, should be very very durable, unless done bad.
@@Masterfighterx They are durable, yes, but they do get scratches, they don´t age well and you can´t polish DLC coating.
