I feel like I’m watching an intro to the Silmarillion being adapted into a film or tv series. Just needs an ominous British narrator recalling the events in a grim tone to really set the scene. The art is just breathtakingly beautiful too. Silmarillion is just built different compared to just Lord of the rings alone.
It really is a shame that The Silmarillion has never been adapted into a tv show before. So many interesting characters and places....it would so cool to see.

This is great stuff! People back then lived in some serious horrific times, Full powdered Sauron, Balrogs, Vampires, Werewolves, dragons and monsters from the void. It would have made for some amazing TV series if given to competent people.
Series rarely live up to the cinematic films (unless they're animated). Tolkien is a great subject, but for a cinematic series like the MCU. That would be the perfect solution.

The voice at 0:58 is from Gandalf shouting to the Balrog: No puedes pasar! / You shall not pass!, voiced by the late spanish voiceover actor Pepe Mediavilla for the Spain's version of the trilogy. He unfortunately sailed from the Gray Havens in 2018 but he was very well known in Spain for being the voiceover of Sir Ian Mckellen, Leonard Nimoy, Morgan Freeman and Michael Clarke Duncan.

@@RuinsOfGondolin hmmm, my main ones would be abt Fingolfin, Feanor, or the Dagor Dagorath since they have always been the most interesting characters apart from morgoth imo and the Dagor Dagorath is a super interesting final story to me but they’d probably fall more in line of a middle earth explained video lol. But some animation ones that might be cool could be about Beren and luthien, the Ainulindale which would be amazing to see animated, or maybe something about Ecthellion and Tuor’s last stand at Gondolin. Just some ideas for you to choose from if you like any of them keep up the great work!

Make also the connection that also Tolkien's works on the fight between West and East drew inspiration from real life and that Minas Tirith was Constantinople under siege. The two kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor separated were the Western and Eastern Roman Empire. Search for the cistern of Constantinople and you will see the inspiration for the Pillars in Khazad-Dum as well ;)

If Morgoth was as large as he is (erroneously) often depicted, then the silmarils would have been like the size of a man's fingernail by comparison. I doubt that was the case. Morgoth might have been 12 feet tall... and possibly 14... but never more than that. His battle with Fingolfin was close to an even-match, physically. The Elves in their glory, especially the Noldorian High Elves, were around 8 to 10 feet. After all, Elendil the Tall - a mere mortal man - approached 8 feet tall.
Series rarely live up to the cinematic films (unless they're animated). Tolkien is a great subject, but for a cinematic series like the MCU. That would be the perfect solution.

These are great and epicly made and narrated. These animations i also like a lot. So mythical and epic! Could you make an animation like this about the first war of Sauron where he covered all the lands in a first darkness?
