- The London's Felabration 2015 took place at The British Library on Friday October 16th.
See the entire show led by Dele Sosimi and his 16-piece Afrobeat Orchestra.
From special guests like Tony Allen, 2Face Idibia, Laura Mvula, Shingai Shoniwa (Noisettes), Afrikan Boy, Bumi Thomas, Ed Keazor, Terri Walker, Audrey Gbaguidi, The Floacist (Floesis) and The Trinity College Afrobeat Ensemble.
The sold-out show was co-produced by the British Library and Knitting Factory Records and directed by Carl Joseph.

The world celebrates Fela Kuti. His mission was never in vain. He lives on, and well recognised now. What a joy to see this outcome.

Fela father! Unfortunately Africa honours her legends only in death because they believe they are no longer a threat. I remembered how the government of Nigeria treated this legend and possibly killed him. Musa Bamaiyi, that led his last arrest is also not alive anymore to give account of what he did to our legend. The narcissism of the Nigerian government will ensure they have no rest or honour in their lives. Thank you Fela for blessing us with such talent. I am a fan of your musical ingenuity and so are millions all around the world. Thanks to all these people keeping your works and memory alive. Sleep well Abami eda.

I agree this is the best sound recording of all the felabrations you can hear all the instruments perfect timing. SHINGAI got off and that tall dancer on the left shut it down.
Few people deserve to live forever, Fela Anikulapo Kuti is on top of the few.
Mindblowing that a gem vid like Felabration 2015 has 51K viewers, while some mindless, throwaway pop video get millions of views.......These musicians/artists are skilled beyond belief.

This was a get down good concert I've been with Fela Kuti sense Zombie there is nothing like listening to good music good instruments excellent sound thanks for the upload I'm glad I came across it 10/07/2021
It's now three months since I've found Fela Kuti's music on UA-cam and every day I must play a few of his selections before I sleep at nights. In my parents home Fela Kuti's music was a favourite of my dad. Now as an adult I now understand why my dad loved Fela's music. I find myself dancing to some of the selections and also sad when I hear others.
This is one of the most beautiful concerts I have seen . The vibe was Just too much , they should do it again I will definitely be there xxxx

This concert, as a partial representative sample of Felabration 2015 as it happened at London is actually a fulfillment of revelation proceeding from the lips of the righteous, as Marley would have put it. Fela's dream for our Fatherland don sele. Sho tan abi oku. Opari o jare. Matter settle and finish. Na so he be. E must better and e don better. QED.
Awesome tribute concert!! Hope I can make one in London some day. I've been going to the Felabration here in NY for years and it's always a super long night of amazing Afrobeat bands. Very thankful that there's still a lot of awesome Afrobeat bands keeping the music and Fela's legacy alive and well! In particular..the band Antibalas who've been together for 20 years and always put on incredible shows! Check them out if you're not familiar with Antibalas. IMHO they're the best Afrobeat band out there today. Yeah Yeah ✌️🎷🥁🎹🎸🎵🎶💃🕺😉🙏✌️
