Finally I’ve found an English speaking You Tubber currently in Madagascar. I was there about 8 years for a few months and will never forget it. Such a poor country that hasn’t really advanced unfortunately! Met some great people there. It’s certainly a challenge traveling the country. Managed to fly to various places and a few long bus/truck rides all an experience different to any other country I’ve been to.😎
yes, the people here are great. Very friendly and laid back, not pushy. I just arrived in Tamatave, 10 hour bus ride yesterday. Went better than expected, comfortable seats, plenty of leg space. Cotisse is the way to go regarding bus service here.
When are you going to túliara mongali. I love the last video you made there. Can you do more of the beaches hotels and locals I’m very tempted to visit toliara
There's a common line between all those folks who suffered because of slavery first and then colonization. You hear through their language, the way they speak to each other. There's a lot of hidden pain. For example if they have different words for the different skin colors among them it's because there used to be a hierarchy. Like in Brazil during the slavery time you had the house slaves who were rather light-skinned and land slaves who were more dark-skinned. It's a remnant of a painful history those people went through.
At 6 minutes and 16 seconds during your video if you would have turned right then you would have been at the beautiful Waterfront!! YOU MISSED IT. There are they have a beautiful Mall a nice Shopping Center a cinema where you can watch movies and fantastic outdoor places to eat.😢
Question. Do you have to purchase a Visa when you land? Or is that something you buy before you leave USA. Last time I traveled internationally I got deported in London because I did not have a Return flight , I was 22, had like 37$ to my name 😅😂
I like medium-sized beach cities and Madagascar has 4 or 5 I could easily spend a couple months in. The food is great and it's very cheap. But I will still go back to latin countries.
yes they are all gasoline. I think Kenya is making some strides regarding Electric Vehicles. I would love to see the day when those noisy, polluting tuk-tuks get replaced by electric versions.
I have quite a few other videos on Madagascar with people, food, etc.., no disrespect but not every UA-cam video on a country is going to be a complete documentary on the country,
I'm surprised no one is supposed or notice or stare or greet you as a white foreigner, usually in Africa they all look curious and greet white foreigner.

I don't think I will be able to return there this trip. I am currently in Tamatave on the East Coast and loving it so far.
I think that would be too much for me, but I admire your desire for adventure.
Went there for work 4 months ago. The situation is really sad. The poverty, the insecurity, the lack of infrastructures... May God help them.
I had an enjoyable 12 months in Majunga back in the 1960s. They were very poor then and things don't seem to have improved sadly.
Stone build roads are very beautiful,l see many in Madagascar.
I love Madagascar. I plan to visit in Summer 2024.
Linda cidade gostei 💚💛💙🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👍🙏 beautyful city

Oh ok, next trip Ill check it out, sometime in July or August. Thanks for the suggestion.
What do you think about security?
Have you ever felt insecure in the countries you visited?🤔

You should be able to purchase a 30 or 60 day visa at the airport in Madagascar. Visa needs to be paid in Cash - dollars or Euros
@@pddembowski THANK you 🙏 so much for this.
I'm an American and I married a malagasy lady..... she is wonderful
Nice to hear..best wishes, not too many Americans in Madagascar.
paul it seems like you love madagascar more than the caribbean and latin countries. whys that?

Nosy be je conseille a voir j'ai adoré cet endroit
What part of town would have less air pollution?
the parts that are not gridlocked with vehicles on the streets, half of which would fail any emissions test.
thank you!
tyres everywhere..
I’m going to assume that all vehicles in this video run on gasoline; I would expect that the electrical vehicle market doesn’t exist in Madagascar.

There are electrical vehicles, e. g. tuk-tuks in Tamatave. They serve a a shuttle between the two major street markets there.
Moi on m'a dit que nosy be était plus agréable pour se détendre puis la plage magnifique Antananarivo trop de bruit pollution
Vous critiquez beaucoup mais vous revenez toujours , vous avez un centre d’intérêt que vous n'avouez pas .
People walking, cars passing by.... anything else?
Yes, actually Jesus Christ makes an appearance in this video. Unfortunately you were apparently too distracted by the cars to notice.
@@pddembowski I noticed Santa Clause and he must be the one who distracted me. I will write him and ask about that.🎅
@@pddembowski😂
👌👍
I would have liked to see the people themselves less cars the food they eat their lifestyle

there are quite a few white French in Tana so it's nothing unusual.
@@pddembowski what about other parts of the country
What a mess
Monotonous
