I came to your channel for the Japanese travel content and I stayed for the ski and mountain vlog episodes. I snowboard and had the pleasure of riding at Kiroro in Hokkaido. Was one the best pow I’ve ridden on. Hope you get to ski more and more mountains in Japan in the future.

Great vlog again robyn, your personality is infectious and exudes happiness. I don't know if your post the other day coincides with this journey but just want to say that I haven't been to Japan, I've heard from alot of travelers that residents are very hard faced and straight to the point which seems to be opposite of your personality. Skiing rentals are expensive but the view from the mountain top...PRICELESS! Tummy will get hungry super fast on a cold day but luckily there's tons of yummy & warm food to enjoy and to have a public foot hot pool is unique. Well, this Japan trip is somethin else...
yessss couldn't agree more! i usually don't rent as I have my own equipment so the price was a bit shocking to me haha.

Love your vlogs! I am thinking of going skiing in japan solo but it's my first time, do you have any tips/suggestions? and also did you went with a tour ?
Thank you Jessy!! You should! Japan solo was such an incredible experience. Can't say enough good things. I didn't do a tour, but it would have been fun to be on a tour. Tips would be budget more than you think you need to budget because everything tends to get really expensive in Japan. Also if you are going to Hakuba, make sure wherever you stay is on or near the local shuttle route. Taxis are $20-$30 one direction anywhere you want to go so it gets pricey. Also... ENJOY SKIING IN JAPAN IS AMAZING!
