There is another way to go about upgrading the coil packs and wiring on the 1.8t mk4 that is cheaper and very reliable plus its an oem set up. I ordered the bolt down style coil packs that are used on the audi c5 rs6. Its a v8 engine with the same 1.8 liter cylinder heads and valve covers on both sides. The coil packs are good for 400 plus hp and they bolt right into the existing bolt holes on the 1.8t valve cover. I ordered resistor style spark plugs and used a dremel to side gap cut them so the center electrode is exposed to the fuel and air mixture inside the cylinder. I re gapped them at a 45 degree angle. I order a coil pack wire harness on ebay and ditched the diy plugin harness that came with it. I hard soldered the wires together with shrink wrap for a more reliable connection. Im on stock tune and stock ko3s turbo and the car rips hard. The idle is super smooth and my gas mileage is 32 mpg on average being monitored on live data through torque on an android device. The car pulls 13.8 seconds in the 1/4 mile on stock tune, stock ecu.

I have the same exact wire stripers and i love them too. I threw away all the other ones ive tried after getting the vice grip auto wire stripers.
Hell yes !!!! I needed this vid. Have a b6 a4 1.8t and it dropped cylinder 1 and 3. Checked the harness after coil swapping and it was cracked wires. even though the rubber covering was mint and not dried out. The actual wiring sheath wad dried out and exposed wire 😢 ordering the kit right now 🤜💥🤛

u can buy from usp motorsports all completed, u just gotta hook it into the wiring for the ecm and then rewrap the wire

Position 5 for the thicker brown wire, and position 6 for thinner brown wire.

Ecs tuning only has this kit for the 180hp TT....not the 225hp version 😞

This is my first time trying this and I have those same wire strippers and I kept smushing the connectors and had to order the kit again. Where do you crimp them on the stripper ??? I don’t wanna mess these ones up lol

Is this fit Audi 2007 A4 2.0T I need the wiring harness (the 2 first connectors broke so there’s no connection) do I need just the electric connector or the complete harness ?

same problem. engine misfires and idle like shit after i changed the plugs and coils. broke 2 connectors. i am supposing it's the issue. but seeing the state of the one in that dude's video I guess when its plugged it still works. i wonder why i have this horrible defect now...

@@JuanLopez-kp5eh I figured mine out. Mine was a different color code completely. I had some lousy connections. I hardwired everything with solder to make sure it had good connection now it's good

Your engine code must be different. You’ll need to find the correct wiring diagram for your engine code.

It's actually just a cluster swap. The car itself has over 200k but less than a mile on the engine.

FYI everyone! colors are completely different from a VW wiring harness to an Audi wiring harness. You'll be using all 12 wires for an Audi
