We are constant researchers and theorists... Welcome back! The tattoos on his chest are actually not CGI generated, they drew them on him. It's a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke, and the theme of the poem is well connected to the concept of the album. Everything in this song and video is well thought through and perfected to the tiniest detail.
GB, you were missed!!! As many commentators have already said, Jimin’s solo songs are variegated but in all of them you can truly appreciate the uniqueness of his voice. If I may give you some background information that you have already correctly guessed: When BTS started as a group Jimin was portrayed as this manly member (probably because his hometown of Busan is inown for their 'manly man' in Korea), even his vocals were kind of pushed toward that kind of delivery and you can hear it in the group's first albums (2 cool 4 school, O!RUL8, 2!, Skool luv affair, Dark and Wild). It wasn’t until The most Beautiful Moment in Life that his true vocal began to show, but his final evolution happened for Wings. He opens the emblematic song Blood, Sweat and Tears with what would become pure Jimin magic: angelic vocals, graceful coreography, and a ridiculous dichotomy of sexy and sweet that very few can achieve. Because of this “change” in image he received a lot of bullying, and since then he has been the target of some of the most nasty side of K-pop: death threats, online harassing, cyber bullying, sometimes this would even happen when the group would go live and try to chat with ARMY. It is disgusting, and nobody deserves that kind of treatment, but specially someone like Jimin who has such a sweet and selfless personality. Anyway, this album feels like kind of a catharsis for him, but even during the definitive success that it was the powers that be (call it Billboard if you want) changed the rules (as they always do when BTS is breaking records) so Jimin’s #1 Song would drop abruptly during the 2nd week of tracking. ARMY learned from that experience and since then we have helped the other members have a more stable release of their solo albums/songs. 😅Sorry for diatribe, but maybe you actually get to read this and understand that even for ARMY this song was a surprise since IT IS hard, as you said, it feels more confrontational than what we expected from Jimin, and it was probably because he finally said enough is enough. Jimin is not the only one in the group who has received death threats but I think in his case the threats have been the most persistent and the most disgusting. Sometimes some sasaeng (korean term for obsessive ‘fans’) or some trolls would go in the chat during the group’s lives and start posting that he should un-alive himself and some other despicable things. It’s a really dark side of K-pop that makes you understand how some idols end up with very bad cases of depression, anxiety, and sometimes they even end up taking their own lives. As I said, nobody deserves that, but you can see how all these negative attention and hate has affected Jimin over time. And yet he is always so thoughtful and sweet with ARMY. You can see why the fandom is so protective of everyone in the group.

Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off”, “Alone”, as well as hidden track “Letter” are all equally amazing! "Going insane to stay sane" is a line that actually comes back in other BTS songs! There are a lot of their songs that refer to other songs through lyrics or melodies. Each of jimin solo song are just amazing. It's never the same vibe and he make sure to make each of them unique in it's own genre. And Face is just a masterpiece and knowing that he produce and write the songs too just amaze me even more. He's a growing artist, as a singer and dancer, he's now discovering himself as a lyricist and producer too, I'm really excited to see what he has to offer us in the future. "SMFP2" is like my anthem. It is so empowering and I love blasting it in the car, in the house, anywhere. His whole "FACE" album was incredible. I'm so proud of him for just letting all of those feelings bleed into his music. I love his voice, always. The sad part is that Jimin gets some of the most vile hate I have ever seen. I mean all of BTS does, but Jimin's is truly disgusting, people really go for the jugular with him and he's such a sweet kind sensitive man it just makes me so angry. I'm glad he used that song to say, "fuck off and get out of my way." He just released his second solo album, "MUSE" and it was such a different vibe it was awesome. In one of his lives he told ARMY that he knew that FACE was a little more depressing on some songs but he wanted us to know he is past those emotions and is not in that state as that was a lot about his feelings during Covid. I will say that "MUSE" was the album I expected "FACE" to be. I cannot ever pick favorites because every song he sings is perfect to me. So, I hope you have checked out some of "MUSE" by now. And just to add. Jimin's stage presence is FIRE so you really need to not only listen to "LIE" but you need to watch a stage performance of it, he is truly mesmerizing. But now that MUSE is out you need to watch the special performance of "Who" on Jimmy Fallon because it is live vocals and he is wonderful, he taped it before enlisting. And the "Who" MV is great too. Can’t forget about El DeBarge! Another legend with a voice that can reach that high vocal register. That’s who Jimin’s voice reminds me of. he just released a recent documentary called "Jimin's Production Diary" and the entire album is mostly made of just 4 guys including jimin they're one of a kind talents, truly it featured how jimin would just fiddle with a keyboard, or be humming under his breath and pdogg (one of bts' in house producers) would just point it out and they'd record it on the spot, it's amazing most of the tunes and hooks that made it to the album were from jimin just naturally vibing in the studio

He actually went to the US and picked a choir from LA for the backing vocals in this, he was really particular about it because he wanted a specific sound for the choir.

I love the Jimin introduction video 2023 ver (highly recommend) bc it actually highlights that. Other kpop idols tried covering BTS's songs and they never get Jimin's vocals right, even having to separate the dance and vocals bc they can't do it. I'm not a singer so I never fully grasped how hard it is. Jimin's voice is def my favorite so I could just be biased. His high voice while dancing... yeah that's hard. I've danced for only 10 years (unfortunately, I haven't found the time to continue) but I love learning his choreo.

Jimins amazing please listen to LIKE CRAZY by jimin . His solo album is literally a master piece I am obsessed
GB, you were missed!!! As many commentators have already said, Jimin’s solo songs are variegated but in all of them you can truly appreciate the uniqueness of his voice.
If I may give you some background information that you have already correctly guessed: When BTS started as a group Jimin was portrayed as this manly member (probably because his hometown of Busan is inown for their 'manly man' in Korea), even his vocals were kind of pushed toward that kind of delivery and you can hear it in the group's first albums (2 cool 4 school, O!RUL8, 2!, Skool luv affair, Dark and Wild). It wasn’t until The most Beautiful Moment in Life that his true vocal began to show, but his final evolution happened for Wings. He opens the emblematic song Blood, Sweat and Tears with what would become pure Jimin magic: angelic vocals, graceful coreography, and a ridiculous dichotomy of sexy and sweet that very few can achieve. Because of this “change” in image he received a lot of bullying, and since then he has been the target of some of the most nasty side of K-pop: death threats, online harassing, cyber bullying, sometimes this would even happen when the group would go live and try to chat with ARMY. It is disgusting, and nobody deserves that kind of treatment, but specially someone like Jimin who has such a sweet and selfless personality.
Anyway, this album feels like kind of a catharsis for him, but even during the definitive success that it was the powers that be (call it Billboard if you want) changed the rules (as they always do when BTS is breaking records) so Jimin’s #1 Song would drop abruptly during the 2nd week of tracking. ARMY learned from that experience and since then we have helped the other members have a more stable release of their solo albums/songs.
😅Sorry for diatribe, but maybe you actually get to read this and understand that even for ARMY this song was a surprise since IT IS hard, as you said, it feels more confrontational than what we expected from Jimin, and it was probably because he finally said enough is enough.

Jimin is not the only one in the group who has received death threats but I think in his case the threats have been the most persistent and the most disgusting. Sometimes some sasaeng (korean term for obsessive ‘fans’) or some trolls would go in the chat during the group’s lives and start posting that he should un-alive himself and some other despicable things.
It’s a really dark side of K-pop that makes you understand how some idols end up with very bad cases of depression, anxiety, and sometimes they even end up taking their own lives.
As I said, nobody deserves that, but you can see how all these negative attention and hate has affected Jimin over time. And yet he is always so thoughtful and sweet with ARMY. You can see why the fandom is so protective of everyone in the group.

Yes Jimin’s voice is so unique. He was the target of a lot of harassment and death threats even at one point. And I think had to fight really hard against people wanting to box him into certain things. This song is an anthem for sure

One of my fav jams when I’m in the car. We call Jimin our little Prince so when you spoke about the trumpets and royalty etc I gave a little laugh. "SMFP2" is like my anthem. It is so empowering and I love blasting it in the car, in the house, anywhere. His whole "FACE" album was incredible. I'm so proud of him for just letting all of those feelings bleed into his music. I love his voice, always. The sad part is that Jimin gets some of the most vile hate I have ever seen. I mean all of BTS does, but Jimin's is truly disgusting, people really go for the jugular with him and he's such a sweet kind sensitive man it just makes me so angry. I'm glad he used that song to say, "fuck off and get out of my way." He just released his second solo album, "MUSE" and it was such a different vibe it was awesome.
In one of his lives he told ARMY that he knew that FACE was a little more depressing on some songs but he wanted us to know he is past those emotions and is not in that state as that was a lot about his feelings during Covid. I will say that "MUSE" was the album I expected "FACE" to be. I cannot ever pick favorites because every song he sings is perfect to me. So, I hope you have checked out some of "MUSE" by now.
And just to add. Jimin's stage presence is FIRE so you really need to not only listen to "LIE" but you need to watch a stage performance of it, he is truly mesmerizing. But now that MUSE is out you need to watch the special performance of "Who" on Jimmy Fallon because it is live vocals and he is wonderful, he taped it before enlisting. And the "Who" MV is great too. He also performed "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" MV live as well.

Can’t forget about El DeBarge! Another legend with a voice that can reach that high vocal register. That’s who Jimin’s voice reminds me of. I also recommend reacting to Jimin’s collaboration with another Kpop legend, Taeyang from Big Bang. The song is called “Vibe.” It just came out this year. It’s a banger!
he just released a recent documentary called "Jimin's Production Diary" and the entire album is mostly made of just 4 guys including jimin

it featured how jimin would just fiddle with a keyboard, or be humming under his breath and pdogg (one of bts' in house producers) would just point it out and they'd record it on the spot, it's amazing
most of the tunes and hooks that made it to the album were from jimin just naturally vibing in the studio

He actually went to the US and picked a choir from LA for the backing vocals in this, he was really particular about it because he wanted a specific sound for the choir.

I love the Jimin introduction video 2023 ver (highly recommend) bc it actually highlights that. Other kpop idols tried covering BTS's songs and they never get Jimin's vocals right, even having to separate the dance and vocals bc they can't do it. I'm not a singer so I never fully grasped how hard it is. Jimin's voice is def my favorite so I could just be biased. His high voice while dancing... yeah that's hard. I've danced for only 10 years (unfortunately, I haven't found the time to continue) but I love learning his choreo.
