- Join us as we become one of the first passengers to board Cunard's first new ship for 14 years. The brand new Queen Anne is different from the existing @CunardLineOfficial ships in many ways, but she is also very similar in oithers. In this video we travel to Southampton and board the ship for the first time. We have a quick look around the ship then have some drinks with cruise friends, have dinner eventually , have a fantastic sailaway with some wonderful fireworks, enjoy a stunning show then more drinks before bedtime.

Thanks it is always interesting to see things from other people's perspectives. I know of many times we have been on the same cruise as others and had very different experiences. Your first night meal experience was good ours wasn't. See you soon

Very good video! And it's so nice to see how happy you are.. We had a maiden voyage on the MS Koningsdam a few years ago. We are not the first on the Queen Anne ... but: in July we will finally be on board and are really looking forward to it :-)

As always, love the views of the countryside as you drive down to Southampton. Great video of your first day on Queen Anne. Lindsey called it early and, in my opinion, correctly when she said "It should be better than this". Feel so sorry for the frontline staff. On a more positive note, the ship looks beautiful and it looked like you had a great time nevertheless😊
We had a fantastic week and all the little issues will soon disappear I think, after all you ought to expect a few issues on a maiden

The Queen Victoria is such wonderful ship !! So beautiful and elegant! When I sail on her , I fantasise that it’s the 1930’s and I’m travelling on one of Cunard’s grand ships of state. It’s the Golden Age of ocean travel, and I’m on my way to England! Oh look isn’t that Clark Gable and Carole Lombard over there ? And there’s Commodore Sir James Bisset over there at the Captain’s Table ! Can you tell that I’ve read too many books about Cunard’s history and ocean liners ?!😂 If your travelling Britannia Dining Room level this December, I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND reserving Table 355 on the lower level!!! It’s a marvellous table for two right at the base of the golden revolving world globe which is the center piece of the entire room. Wow ! what a fantastic view!! Since it’s on the lower level , you do have to pick “ Open Seating “. Early and Late seating are only the upper level of the room . But , I can highly recommend that table!!👍 Of course, you can also just get there early for breakfast or lunch, and just ask for table 355 ! Again it’s a wonderful view ! Enjoy your December trip on Queen Victoria !! 🇬🇧🇺🇸 MikeW.
I so enjoyed this vlog - I felt I was going along with you when you were exploring the ship. Such a pity about the dining experience - I felt sorry for you and then even sorrier for the people waiting in the queue for hours. Hope everything improved when I cruise on Queen Anne in October! Even so it must have been a privilege to be on maiden voyage and you did end up with the fabulous Paul and Carole and 'Dan the Man' until the early hours - thank you for all the work you put in for this fabulous video😊

Very enjoyable and informative video !! Thank you for the effort and work of producing the film. Sorry you had to wait so long for your food!🙄 I always heard that Maiden Voyages are a bit of trouble because the crew are still breaking themselves in and trying to become familiar with everything ! I’m a lifelong fan of Cunard and have sailed on all the three other Queens. I wouldn’t even consider travelling on any other cruise line !!! As for Queen Anne, I love the exterior styling of the ship. Very majestic and regal!! The outside deck lounging areas and pools are beautiful. But••• the interior design and styling are (with a few exceptions) DEFINITELY NOT my cup of tea !! The Britannia Dining Room is elegant and beautiful. Also the Commodore Club is great. The rest of the rooms are rather plain and boring! They have none of the grand and welcoming feel of the same rooms on the rest of the Queens. The Cunard regal vibes are non existent ? Could be a MSC, Virgin, Carnival, or Norwegian Cruise Ship !! And Yah , Yah I’ve heard over and over that it was designed for a younger generation and their tastes!!🙄 Well they can have it !!!🙄👎😒. As for me, I’ll take the elegance and beauty of QM2 , Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth every time!!! Once again thank you! The video was very eye opening!?! 🇬🇧🇺🇸 Cheers MikeW.

Do you think that ship, Queen Anne, has too many passengers? I'm a QM2er. Think I'll stick with that 🚢 ⚓️ ship!
We found her very comfortable with plenty of room on board so I don't think she has too many passengers. As she settles in I think she will be very pleasant to sail on, but different from the other Cunard ships. I think the verdict of is it good or bad will come down to individual choice.
I'm QM2 as well and it's going to take a lot to impress me. I'll reserve judgement until I've tried QA but from all the videos I've seen I don't think it comes anywhere close to QM2. Great video though, as always, from Ken Goes Cruising.
