- What did we think of Cunard’s Queen Anne!Cunard’s Queen Anne is Cunard’s newest cruise ship and launched in May 2024. We were on Cunard’s Queen Anne’s maiden Voyage and this video lets you know what we thought of Queen Anne.
On Queen Anne we experienced it all from the fine Cunard Food, Service, Cunard entertainment, the cabin, we even tell you what we think of the Ship as a whole.
We always rate all of the ships we go on and give them a cruise rating out of 40, top of our leaderboard at the moment is Cunards Queen Mary 2, will Cunard’s Queen Anne top this, watch and see..

Lots of first time staff from mainly South Africa , spoke to many and they all expressed how hard they were finding the new job what with shift length and scheduling…it’ll take some time to settle into a shell oiled machine ( hopefully) …a very fair review by the way guys ..👍👏
Thank you very much 🙂 yes give it 6 months hopefully the little issues will be ironed out and staff will be in the flow.
We’re gutted we didn’t get to see any bright light society shows, they look amazing! Hopefully those teething issues have gone, now that her maiden sailings have finished. Great video guys!

🎉well that was an excellent review. I've been on over 10 cunard voyages and have booked 2 on the anne this year. Depending on how we get on in August, it could be our first and last on the anne!! ...there are many areas of great concern from what I've seen so far of this non cunard ship..

They seem to be changing there demographic and leaning more towards the younger ones and modernising there new ship towards all the mainstream ones possibly trying to capture new markets
Personally it should have been like victoria and Elizabeth but with more of a wow factor but a good and fair review
Yes most definitely in some areas it appears they are trying to cater more for the younger demographic however with entertainment it’s not 🤷♀️ seems to us like she needs to find her feet of what market she is aiming for. Thank you for watching

Did you pay the gratuities or did you have them removed and reward staff as you thought deserving , if you don't mind me asking ?
@@BarryFinch-nx7ku hmmm not sure we should admit this 😂 but yes we had them removed and then made sure our cabin steward was well looked after plus staff in restaurants where service was excellent

We are very excited to be going on Queen Anne to the Norwegian Fjords on 23 June. I like what I've seen of the ship so far, but I think you have to be on board to make your own judgment. Hopefully by late June, all the teething issues will be sorted.

The smoking area is given to one of the prime locations on the ship …seems very odd ..it became a bit of a loudish area for smokers on the cruise we were on …why would you sit in the middle area to have plenty of people smoking beside you

Can you sort that mark on your wallpaper out please (between your heads when you were on the sofa) - I kept trying to clean my monitor thinking it was dirty! Cheers 😁
🤣🤣🤣 unfortunately that’s a crack in the plaster 🤷♀️ no amount of cleaning will fix it! We’ll make sure to reposition next time lol

Very disappointed & underwhelmed with what I'm seeing on the various blogs on Queen Anne. Many lost opportunities in the decor....particularly Queens Room, lobby, Britannia Dining Room. The only beautiful rooms from what I'm seeing are Commodore Club, Chart Room, Bright Lights Society, & the library. Queens Room being the worst offender. Another major fail is the lack of a real promenade deck with views out to sea & space for padded deck chairs. Venues appear too small to comfortably accommodate all passengers trying to use the space at any given time, exception being Royal Court Theatre. Too many high end retail shops. In all my years of cruising I've never seen these shops heavily trafficked & will never understand why cruise lines insist on taking up valuable space. They can't be generating enough revenue to justify. Pool tile looks migraine inducing. I understand the reality that Cunard must evolve to attract a newer passenger base, Queen Anne looks mostly like a corporate chain hotel. ZERO wow factor. Aboard Queen Mary 2 one can't help but feel goosebumps & be awestruck by the opulent grandeur. Long time Cunard cruiser here who's jumped ship to Viking Ocean.
Hi, thank you for watching and your detailed reply. You make an excellent point on the shops, many of them but 90% we had no interest in, the type of shops that will make a handful of large sales and be worth having onboard but interest very little.

I agree about the ship lacking the “WOW” factor. Can’t see this ship being as popular/successful as Queen Elizabeth or Queen Victoria.

Amen !!👍 Queen Anne’s interior designers obviously tried way too hard to make the ship “ Contemporary, Modern and different from the other three Queens!! As a result, the Cunard ambience as totally GONE !! It looks like it’s a Virgin, MSC , Carnival or Viking tub !?!? Cold, Uninviting and Boring !! In the future I will stay with QM2 , Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth 🙄 You blew it Cunard !!!👎🥴

I haven’t seen one good review of Queen Anne. I absolutely love Mary and Elizabeth. I think I’ll stick with them for now.

Ignore the bad reviews, try it for yourself and form your own opinion. The ship is wonderful. The service was excellent. The only downside is hearing people moaning whilst on board.

£3300 for an inside...certainly a premium!
Yes sadly you do pay that premium for a maiden, th is for watching
£2186 a few days later. That equates to under £80 per person per night for a full 14 days.

Great Video! Just from watching this and some other Queen Anne videos currently on line, I agree with your ratings. I will be sailing on Queen Anne for her first Transatlantic Voyage from Southampton to New York in January 2025. I will have to reserve my final judgment until I’ve seen her in person. But from what I’ve seen so far in the on-line videos , I’m pretty underwhelmed with the interior design and decor!! The Queens Room is absolutely UGLY and much too small!! What where they thinking ??!! The promenade deck is very disappointing. Too narrow, Lifeboats hung too low and blocking the views, and no deckchair’s??? And the rest of the rooms indeed look like a midrange motel from the 1970’s !! Compared to the elegance and beauty of the interiors of QM2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth ( all of which I’ve sailed) the Anne’s interiors are a MAJOR FLOP !! My upcoming voyage will most likely be my first and last time onboard Queen Anne , and it will be back to the other three Queens after that!!🙄👎🤷♂️. Anyway keep your wonderful videos coming in the future 👍 you are both terrific and amazing ❤️. MikeW.

The head waiters etc need to be sent for training on the Elizabeth Mary or Victoria. I felt so sorry for the fine staff who had been transferred from the Mary. I would not recommend the ship.

Lots of folk moaning its not like this ship or that ship ....well its obviously not , its very much its own entity and has its own identity which won't sit well with some of the "Cunarders" , whatever they are .
Having spent 2 weeks on it , there are some great strength in its design , and clearly some weak spots .
The queens room is definitely the talk of the dining room , most certainly too small for the capacity of the ship ...lots of standing around the edges when any show / act is on .
I think i would go back on , but not for at least a year to allow for the new and very inexperienced crew to have settled in , or to have possibly left to be replaced by more experienced staff.
Folk should get on board and give it a fair go ...who knows ,some of you may well enjoy yourself 😎
Agree with 💯 we would definitely love to go back onboard as you say in a year or so time, lots of people don’t like change and this ship agreed is very far removed from the other Queens however as you say is her own entity and should be admired for what she is. Thanks for watching 🙂
