The blacktip shark is a species of requiem shark, and part of the family Carcharhinidae. It is common to coastal tropical and subtropical waters around the world, including brackish habitats.
Blacktip sharks mate via internal fertilization and give birth to 4 to 11 pups every two years. Females leave their pups in shallow-water nurseries away from adult blacktips, most likely to help them avoid predation from other sharks and fellow blacktips that eat smaller sharks.
The teeth count is 15:2:15 in the upper jaw and 15:1:15 in the lower jaw. The maximum length of the blacktip shark is about 8 feet (255 cm).
Blacktip sharks showing curiosity towards divers have been reported, but they remain at a safe distance. Under most circumstances, these timid sharks are not regarded as highly dangerous to humans. However, they may become aggressive in the presence of food, and their size and speed invite respect.

What a nice place. But be careful coz these types of sharks are harmful especially if being threatened. Baby sharks found in the shoreline of Pasil is a actually a normal phenomenon according to experts and it was broadcasted last week.
ang lapit lang nila sa dalampasigan
Curious ako sa mga blacktip shark, anu max size nila.
