Did we understand you correctly, you've lived on Siquijor the past year? I've always said I want to make Siquijor my home island, I fell in love with the island in 2016 when we stayed at Coco Grove. Since then we've been there many times since we live in Dauin, near Dumaguete City just an hour +/- away on a ferry. Great tips! Especially the one on ATM for new expats, those are such a common mistake new expats make! Thanks for such great videos! Hope your channel blows up, you do such a great job!

Hi Nate, thanks for this helpful video about 10 tips for Visitors to Siquijor Island. I often wonder how the local people survive around the intermittent power outages. It has to be challenging keeping food safe, in the warm climate, with the extended outages. The Family run Roadside Restaurants seem to be a big hit with good food at affordable prices. The friendliness of the local people is a big hit as well in the Philippines. Thanks for also including the 3 bonus tips towards the end. I especially liked the Scuba diving tip with the awesome footage of you swimming in the beautiful Coral and the school of fishing below you. Have to ask, what type of fish were in the school below you? With all of the helpful information and the way you connect with your audience, always make for a great video and viewing experience.

Wonderful! I hope you have an amazing trip. I'm not aware of any specific fishing boats that offer fishing opportunities for visitors, but when you arrive on the island, I'd ask around San Juan, especially near the public market. You can also check with staff at your hotel/ resort, as they may likely have connections.

Currently in Siquijor! Will be here for 2 more weeks. We're renting an airbnb at Lazi and I wish I could try one of the nightlife activities but getting drunk + motorbike driving is a deadly combination

@@luciferbroke7875 That's awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Be sure to check out Nakabalo. It's not as affordable, but the food is very good, and the views are excellent!
@@natehovee thank you!!! So far we also really love the barbecue pop up place at the seaside, close to the bar and the san juan public market. They often play reggae on their portable giant speakers, and they're super cheap. The sunset view and watching families swim at the sea for free, or kids skimboarding at almost sunset is so calming and fun. They only open during non-windy non-rainy days though.
Thanks!

Wonderful! I hope you have an amazing trip. I'm not aware of any specific fishing boats that offer fishing opportunities for visitors, but when you arrive on the island, I'd ask around San Juan, especially near the public market. You can also check with staff at your hotel/ resort, as they may likely have connections.
Is cliff jumping still allowed at Pitogo Cliff?
GREAT VID. see you again next year lol 😄
Hopefully next MONTH! 😁😁 Thanks Geraldo!
Is it many tourists visitng Siquijor now? Was there ten years ago, would like to come back next year...hope it hasnt changed too much..
Love Sijuijor
Thanks so much for this, and it's a pleasure to hear from you. I wish you and your wife a safe and enjoyable journey back to the Philippines later this year!
@@natehovee We have been in Sijuijor this year and it was awesome 👏…. can’t wait to go back again in Sijuijor Island- Filipino watching from Sydney!
Do you have any recommendations on good places to freedive around Siquijor that aren't one of the most popular?
Currently in Siquijor! Will be here for 2 more weeks. We're renting an airbnb at Lazi and I wish I could try one of the nightlife activities but getting drunk + motorbike driving is a deadly combination
Welcome to Siquijor! Check out Tulapos for freediving. It's popular, but it's normally not too busy, especially on weekdays. I hope you have a fantastic time on the island! 😀
@@natehovee thank you! And hey, we just tried Rico Swabe Bulalo House and it was worth it! Good and fresh affordable bulalo
Hello Nate❤
You should upload videos constantly coz it can affect the number of your veiwers is its long.
I'll have more videos coming soon. Thanks for the encouragement and support, and I hope to see you at the next premiere!
Would you mind if I asked why you didn't include Barracuda free-diving and skydiving in your list of the top 10 activities?
I've featured both in my two Siquijor videos. I hope you'll share this content with friends and family who may find it useful. 😊
