LOW APPROACH to the UK's SECOND BUSIEST RUNWAY (London Gatwick Airport) [HD Pilot VLOG | ATC AUDIO]

- Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, airspace in the UK is much quieter than usual; I was lucky enough to make use of this and fly some practice instrument approaches into London Gatwick Airport. Join me in the short flight from Solent Airport along the coast and into controlled airspace for some approaches, with ATC audio. The views and proximity to such a large airport certainly make this flight a once in a lifetime experience!

Welcome to the LGW low approach and go around club ;-)
What a feeling! Certainly looks good in my logbook...!
Lovely animations
Thanks!
nice one mate love the vids
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked the video
nice video 👍
Thank you 👍
Was that a SRA?...I remember doing those into LGW in the F27 in the middle of the night when the main runway was closed for maintenance.
Yes, an SRA approach into 26R as the main runway was shut for maintenance. They're not really used much 'in anger' these days, must have been amazing at night in an F27!
Yes it was good. We used to go into LGW a lot
You mentioned touch and go but never descended?
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately due to airport restrictions for insurance etc. we could not descend below 400ft above the runway (600ft above sea level). I certainly got some amazing views even from that height though!
I probably saw your plane from my house in the air
Fantastic; thanks for watching!
Hi is this the new way to work.
It would certainly beat the traffic jams! Thanks for watching...
Did they charge you for this?
No, no charges for the approaches 😃
@@Coepilot interesting, did you just ask them on the radio or call before?
