I've heard from other creators that many times when they mention something or link something in Amazon they are heavily criticized. At the same time they are also asked for brand names or where they got something from. So the fact that you have paid promotions or have monetized your channel is a good thing for you and keeps you with us! Please keep going, I respect you!

Can’t please everyone. 👍🏼The person who unsubscribed could have gone away quietly. But they chose to be critical and harsh. One content creator said that she is able to see what a particular viewer commented on other channels, and found that she made rude comments on several other channels as well. Some people are just miserable and want others to be as well.
I’m happy to watch paid promotions and to support the content makers. If I don’t have interest in the product, I fast forward. It’s not a big deal. Your videos are great. I feel you are trustworthy and have integrity.
I remember you saying in an earlier post that you would only promote products that you had tried and liked. You also made it clear no one needed to purchase any product you happened to like. I know negative comments are devastating. If I've learned anything watching UA-cam videos it's that there are always toxic people looking to criticize. It really is a reflection of them. After all we are all free to watch or not watch any UA-cam channels. No one needs to comment. Some people just can't help themselves.

I remember an interview with Bernadette Banner (a young content creator with 1.69 million subscribers). When asked how she handled the negative comments, she said she only looks at the comments for the first 24 hours after posting a video. Those are the core fans, who are excited to see a new video pop up. That made a lot of sense to me.
You come across as loving what you are doing and believe what you are sharing. Ads are a part of life, at least in the United States. I am glad that person unsubscribed so they don't keep sending you negative comments. It's just sad you have to do a whole section on one person's discontent. You have almost 50K who like you.
I've had exactly the same thing happen to me and it stings. Whether I reply or not, depends on the way the comment is fired at me. It hurt early in my journey, but now, I don't allow it to affect me. As for the money from monetization, as someone who'll be in a pensionable age in a couple of years, the income will be more than helpful and I refuse to feel guilty for it. Keep going, your channel is inspiring to someone like myself.

I have tried to deal with negative people by thinking they are having a bad day, issues, etc. i know it is easy to react. Been there. But best to just think of your positivity and hope it rubs off on others.

If you need to have sponsors to make money, and you spend that money on yourself or this channel, than that's fine with me, it's not my business, you are supplying us with free videos, so it's up to you what you have on your channel! Being a very long time UA-cam video channel watcher, I have watched the content of videos change drastically over the years. Initially, even if someone wanted me to buy something included in their video, if didn't feel like a hard sell the way almost all videos across the board feel now. I realize that now people realize they can made full time salaries just by monetizing the same videos they were already making but the way they start feeling like TV infomercials, is not of any interest from me. That is not entertainment and that is truly what I am here on UA-cam looking for; entertainment & learning something new. Now, I've learned I can just fast-forward through most of that selling stuff and get back to the heart of what I clicked on the video for in the first place.

People who write negative, mean comments need love. There was or is a lack of love in their life. By you responding with love, you are blessing those who hurt you and you will be triple blessed. Have a folder of a list of loving things to say so that you can just go to that folder when a mean comment comes in and you will have a multitude of responses to choose from. It is tempting to ban, ignore, delete or say something negative back but resist that temptation and just choose the loving response. Love always trumps hate. There is nothing wrong with ads or making more money. Go for it. If you advertise a product and someone gets bad customer service or an imperfect product, that's not your fault. There are no perfect products or perfect customer service. Even Mother Theresa had haters. Someone can find fault with anyone. Keep being you and you will achieve even greater success. Have that folder ready and cut and paste your kind responses and move forward enjoying greater and greater success. You don't have to defend making money or the way you handle things to the haters. The more success you have on YT, the more haters will come out of the woodwork. ❤

It's normal for most of us to feel hurt when our integrity is attacked if the brain is working properly. I'm in academia so this is especially relevant: a successful 20+ year career festooned with a never-ending onslaught of negative comments, but one person in particular sent me to the ER with arrhythmia out of control several years ago. A co-worker who has been on 2/3 promotion committees got a group to attack my integrity. BUT: I'm here finishing this career up in style and got those promotions: next stop: Emeritus. Hang in there. You're doing a great job. Everyone should have another source of income post-retirement. I've been a vegetarian all my adult life and I still subscribed to your channel (I'm only subscribed to a few), so it must be pretty special.😉

I mentioned that it’s important not to respond to the negativity, but respond to the person. When this happens to me (new creator…349 subs) I wait a day to think about how I want to respond that maintains my integrity. As a new subscriber, though I was hooked a year ago at your first video, somehow I had forgotten to subscribe and I moved on to other creators. Today, I subscribed and am binge watching some of your videos. My only thought on the cooking video is that for me, I am more into watching the "essentialism" content to gain ideas on getting rid of things. Cooking is not my forte, so it will take me longer to get around to and appreciate any cooking videos. Keep up the good work and I agree with the people who emphasize that YT is a business and if some of your decisions stem from that, then so be it. Keep up the good work.

My nugget of wisdom...I have learned to analyze negative feedback by asking who is it from ( do they really care about me and willing to stand by me as a friend) and is the comment constructive with the intent to really help me to improve as a person ( in my values). I started my channel about 8 weeks ago, i know i will experience negative comments eventually after i have created enough content. I think it will hit me hard too. I grew up with a very critical father and an older brother, criticism is hard to take. Love your videos!
You are doing a wonderful job. Your conscientiousness is why you are so critical on yourself. That is why your content is excellent for the same reason. You do not have too many sponsorships on your channel. Some creators will have three or more sponsors in the same video. Others tell you they use a product only to tell you they are using another product of the same type the next day in another video. Those that watch on the regular basis know the difference. You are definitely NOT one of those. Just tell them to watch the video when you took the time to apologize when a sponsorship did not meet your standards of service. You have high-standards, are genuine, and care about your audience. Also the amount a particular video is watched and the timing depends on what is happening in the lives of audiences…holidays…graduations…relevance at the time…school start and end…even weather. We are here. The numbers continue to grow and we love the content. Keep up the great work and we will watch…as soon as we can… LOL 😂❤

I have zero issues with people who are honest about earning extra income on UA-cam, which you have done. The issues I've had are with the dishonest ones, the ones who clean hoarder houses, giving the impression they do it out of the goodness of their own hearts, when it's clear as day it's for the income. I have rarely unsubscribed. When I did, it was after not watching for a while and I didn't feel the need to make an announcement. Only once did I unsubscribe because of the behavior/ language of the person who I felt was downright rude to his viewers. Again I unsubscribed quietly. You're doing a great job and I don't mind your endorsements. They're not overwhelming or to the detriment of your videos. Keep on keeping on!
Constructive feedback with the intent to provide the opportunity for growth I get. Negative feedback, even when it hurts you, is about the individual giving it. Prayers sent to that person (s) because they are hurting and should be seen and acknowledged. You do not need to justify what or how you do what you do. One content creator said that she is able to see what a particular viewer commented on other channels, and found that she made rude comments on several other channels as well. I remember you saying in an earlier post that you would only promote products that you had tried and liked. You also made it clear no one needed to purchase any product you happened to like. I know negative comments are devastating. If I've learned anything watching UA-cam videos it's that there are always toxic people looking to criticize. It really is a reflection of them. I remember an interview with Bernadette Banner (a young content creator with 1.69 million subscribers). When asked how she handled the negative comments, she said she only looks at the comments for the first 24 hours after posting a video. Those are the core fans, who are excited to see a new video pop up. That made a lot of sense to me.

I've had exactly the same thing happen to me and it stings. Whether I reply or not, depends on the way the comment is fired at me. It hurt early in my journey, but now, I don't allow it to affect me. As for the money from monetization, as someone who'll be in a pensionable age in a couple of years, the income will be more than helpful and I refuse to feel guilty for it.
Keep going, your channel is inspiring to someone like myself.

Being a very long time UA-cam video channel watcher, I have watched the content of videos change drastically over the years. Initially, even if someone wanted me to buy something included in their video, if didn't feel like a hard sell the way almost all videos across the board feel now. I realize that now people realize they can made full time salaries just by monetizing the same videos they were already making but the way they start feeling like TV infomercials, is not of any interest from me. That is not entertainment and that is truly what I am here on UA-cam looking for; entertainment & learning something new. Now, I've learned I can just fast-forward through most of that selling stuff and get back to the heart of what I clicked on the video for in the first place.

I’m a big fan of Lysa-her books and her UA-cam videos. She has a wonderful way of speaking.
People who write negative, mean comments need love. There was or is a lack of love in their life. By you responding with love, you are blessing those who hurt you and you will be triple blessed. Have a folder of a list of loving things to say so that you can just go to that folder when a mean comment comes in and you will have a multitude of responses to choose from. It is tempting to ban, ignore, delete or say something negative back but resist that temptation and just choose the loving response. Love always trumps hate. There is nothing wrong with ads or making more money. Go for it. If you advertise a product and someone gets bad customer service or an imperfect product, that's not your fault. There are no perfect products or perfect customer service. Even Mother Theresa had haters. Someone can find fault with anyone. Keep being you and you will achieve even greater success. Have that folder ready and cut and paste your kind responses and move forward enjoying greater and greater success. You don't have to defend making money or the way you handle things to the haters. The more success you have on YT, the more haters will come out of the woodwork. ❤

It's normal for most of us to feel hurt when our integrity is attacked if the brain is working properly. I'm in academia so this is especially relevant: a successful 20+ year career festooned with a never-ending onslaught of negative comments, but one person in particular sent me to the ER with arrhythmia out of control several years ago. A co-worker who has been on 2/3 promotion committees got a group to attack my integrity. BUT: I'm here finishing this career up in style and got those promotions: next stop: Emeritus. Hang in there. You're doing a great job. Everyone should have another source of income post-retirement. I've been a vegetarian all my adult life and I still subscribed to your channel (I'm only subscribed to a few), so it must be pretty special.😉

As a new subscriber, though I was hooked a year ago at your first video, somehow I had forgotten to subscribe and I moved on to other creators. Today, I subscribed and am binge watching some of your videos. My only thought on the cooking video is that for me, I am more into watching the "essentialism" content to gain ideas on getting rid of things. Cooking is not my forte, so it will take me longer to get around to and appreciate any cooking videos. Keep up the good work and I agree with the people who emphasize that YT is a business and if some of your decisions stem from that, then so be it. Keep up the good work.

You are doing a wonderful job. Your conscientiousness is why you are so critical on yourself. That is why your content is excellent for the same reason. You do not have too many sponsorships on your channel. Some creators will have three or more sponsors in the same video. Others tell you they use a product only to tell you they are using another product of the same type the next day in another video. Those that watch on the regular basis know the difference. You are definitely NOT one of those. Just tell them to watch the video when you took the time to apologize when a sponsorship did not meet your standards of service. You have high-standards, are genuine, and care about your audience. Also the amount a particular video is watched and the timing depends on what is happening in the lives of audiences…holidays…graduations…relevance at the time…school start and end…even weather. We are here. The numbers continue to grow and we love the content. Keep up the great work and we will watch…as soon as we can… LOL 😂❤

I have rarely unsubscribed. When I did, it was after not watching for a while and I didn't feel the need to make an announcement.
