Out of curiosity can this charge other USB c devices?
Dow we have any update on how solar charging is performing? Quick question: what happens when we need to wash the curtains ? Does the adhesive tape come out and back again easily?
I use double sided tape. The clear stuff. Works much better to come off and on.
Performance depends on sun! But it'll keep them charged if you have decent sun for some of the day
can you use this solar panels to charge something alse ? Like out door wifi cam or even the phone ?
AYL_Alan: That's a great question Jaracz23! I just tried plugging in the USB-C connection to my phone. It didn't charge it... but that's only my phone. It's a good question for Switchbot!
Iv been using The solar panels for three days and had decent sunlight but every time I check on the app it says it’s not charging I’m a bit baffled iv got 2 off them both the same
Did this resolve? I remember having to wait a few days to see the change in the app.
The switchbot curtain is supposed to have about 8 months a battery life correct? So how much sun over 8 months does it need to maintain a charge? I would imagine it wouldn't need a whole lot of sun to keep it up if it's got 8 months built in. Am I missing something
AYL_Alan: You're on the right track about the charge. It's a really good question Lance. I think as we use this device more, we'll get more answers on the use of the switchbot solar panel. Maybe there are specific use cases that Switchbot thought of that we're not aware of. We'll see!
Ah man these are so cool but I think they might be a bit too expensive for me. What are you guys thoughts for the no name brands that are a lot weaker and a lot less compatible, but way cheaper

AYL_Alan: It's a good point CS-S; I think this is Switchbot's entry into this market. I think we're going to need some time (data) to see the value of the switchbot curtain. I gotta give Switchbot credit for developing and innovating this device though. But you do bring up a great point.
@@TechYourLife1 you have a point, they clearly have made it high quality and not a bunch of cheap parts mashed together. Maybe I’ll just wait to see if wyze puts one out hahah. Thanks Alan. Also did you know wyze has plans to make a button presser? Switch bot might get some competition., but that’s a whiles always.
