okay I just bought one of these and am confused with the detergent hose. I intended to use a cannon soap dispenser. Is there a way to plug the siphon port.

If the pressure from your home is 2.3 or less you will have issues with pressure coming from your pressure washer. Pressure has to be more than 2.3 to accommodate this machine.

      Hello South Shore,
Sorry you are having issues...Are still having issues?
Just to double check - oddly, we have many people call us that say their unit won't start / shuts off as soon as it does start - only to find out unit is low on oil. Your unit comes with low oil shutdown to protect engine. Simple question but just want to dbl check.
Also - make sure the fuel valve is open - you'll see at 2:26 in the video this needs to be slide to open.
Sometimes there can be fluid lock in the hose / pump. Try releasing the wand trigger to make sure any pressure is released.
Is your fuel of acceptable quality? Any moisture in it that may require it to be drained?
If these items have not helped - please feel free to reach out to our service team via 1 of 4

      Hello South Shore,
Sorry you are still having issues. I am perplexed - how it would run for 10 min then sputter . Sound like spark is not an issue but I am now wondering if it is a fuel delivery / fuel issue? Is your fuel ethanol laced and/or has the unit sat for long time? Ethanol attracts water and we recommend draining fuel if unit sits for extended amount of time as it can pool at bottom of tank and / or carb bowl. I am not sure if this is issue as it runs for so long prior to sputtering...
What I've done is email our service manager with our conversation for his input. Have you reached out to them via methods above? Thx - Joe

      Got it...
Service manager believes the engine is "hunting" which could signal, sorry to say, a mechanical problem.

Hi Sam K., Yes - that was an oversight on my part. The oil fill location is at base of engine and has a yellow cap. Take that off and fill with 10W-30 engine oil. Its capacity is: 0.63 qt. (0.6 L) or, 20 ounces. Joe A-iPower

Hi, if I keep the washer level, it does not take the full 0.6 L, it keeps flowing back through the filler hole. Only some of it will go in before it starts flowing back out. Should I tilt the unit to ensure that the full 0.6 L fits?

      Good Morning Gareth,
Sorry to hear you are having issues with your pressure washer.
Couple of questions - Had it work properly the first time? Is engine running properly or do you feel it is a pump issue? Sometimes, pressure washers can experience vapor lock - was pressure released via the wand?
Do you live in a cold climate? All pressure washers need to be stored properly when not in use for extended periods of time (30-60 days) - not only stabilizing / draining the fuel (especially if your fuel has ethanol in it) but also if there is risk of freezing. As shown in page 28 of manual, make sure the pump is protected / drained by adding RV anti-freeze - if not, this can damage / crack aluminum pump.
Have you reached out to our service? They will help get this unit going again - :

      Good Morning Juanio,
Our warranty is an industry standard - 1 year residential for both labor and parts. Yes - if it were to break, you may contact us in any of 4 ways; website, email, toll free # or direct California # - all 4 go to our service manager:
      1. Toll free number 855-888-3598
      2. Or call our California number service center at: 909-923-2068
      3. email us at support@a-ipower.com.
      4. Or proceed to this link: www.a-ipower.com/service-support/contact-us/ fill out form and we will be in touch.
To be honest - most at our price point are made in China. You will need to take step up in price to find a unit assembled in US while using the same/similar pump as ours but perhaps a Chines made Subaru / Honda engine. For testing - we do have a very nice Briggs unit in our engineering area and I really like the unit - assembled in USA but, again, a higher price point. Our market niche is high content, good service, very reliable engines - but under the price of name brands that are mostly assembled in China too.
I hope this helps - I have the APW2700 unit in my garage and works great! When we had out house painted last summer, the paint crew had a "different brand" that failed to work for them and they used mine as it worked perfectly for them.
See more info on this unit here:

      Cheers! Joe
