- Check out this nail-biting approach into Innsbruck runway 08. Innsbruck is famous for its difficult approaches due to the surrounding terrain. However, in this video, we take an even more difficult approach by performing the Circle-To-Land option, coming in on runway 26 and then circling for runway 08.

Fantastic! I made the mistake of using live weather heading to Innsbruck and had zero visibility so I switched it to clear just in time to hit the mountain side 🤣
It's a beautiful place in the World. I actually ended up there yesterday as part of my round the World tour.

I did that approach in a full-blown flight sim with motion... Hard work but got it down in one piece at the first attempt, although I slightly overshot the turn onto finals, making for some spirited corrections on the final approach.... I think the graphics were better in this flight sim however..!

hi, what was your indicator to turn into 264°(DME to OEV, NDB 420 INN, visual landmarks)? In the chart is no point for that.
This is the real world engine out proceedure at LOWI when departing 08.
Pilot have this information to hand for every airport. You can access this information in our discord server.

i mean how can i get VOR to work? is that a bug? it never shows me DME

@@Easyjetsimpilot i have no idea im a noob, i think the LOWI OEV 111.10 LOC so that i can see the distance and make the final turn at 3.5 miles ..

Very interesting to see this - wasn't even aware of this particular approach chart. I have been trying out the rnav approach to R08 at Innsbruck, example here: thepointsguy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/IMG_2412-e1574347775459.jpg
The Rnav for 08 is much more common. To be honest, this circle to land approach is really only performed by GA aircraft.
