So Rattan gave me a 50 dollar coupon but it has expired. I'm trying to get another from them now so if you're interested in that please check back soon! Sorry about that everyone!
Always nice to see more ebike reviews out there. Btw, you didn’t mention it but the lectric has some of the same things you were praising the Rattan over. Both have cruise control and both bikes cut power to the motor when you hit the brakes. Enjoy your ride :-)
Very informative! I was going to get a couple of Lectric bikes for my fiance and myself before next camping season, but your detailed review and comparison may have just flipped that decision.
I bought one of those used it for about two weeks and bought a mid drive emtb, it powers up any hill, my lm 750 couldn’t. I still have lm 750 but max speed on mine is 20mph on flat paved road with throttle only. Pedaling in PAS5 I could only muster 23mph with my hardest pedaling. Mine has the different GD06 display.
Some reviewers say the top Throttle only speed is 20mph and you said 28mph? I am confused. What is the top (unlocked if able to) THROTTLE ONLY top speed of this bike?
The Lectric XP 2.0 is still the best value No doubt the Rattan is a nice bike. However including shipping it costs $600 more than the Lectric XP. A better comparison would be the Radmini Plus.
I just purchased the rattan. Final cost $1269. That's around $100 more that Lectric at $1188. I haven't ridden either bike yet (but BulletBarry has) , so I can't compare performance, but it seems to me with the 750W vs 500W motor, it should do hills better or at least not stress out the motor by overcurrent. Anyways, I just wanted to give actual price differences delivered to Texas, USA.
OOPs. I forgot to say: The Lectric price above includes a $99 shock seat package with larger seat. The Rattan comes with shock seat post, so I was trying to make this and apple to apple comparison. Just saying.
True disclosure here Gimp Man. Price of the Electric is currently $1099. The battery is 48V 9.6 ah, the motor is 500w, and the tires are 3" wide. Compare that to the Rattan which retails at $1299 w/ free shipping (currently on sale at $100 off so $1199), it has a 750w motor that is much smoother than the Lectric, has a 48V 13ah (big difference in range) and 4' fat tires instead of the Electric's 3" width. So NO, the Electric XP 2.0 is not a better value. The Rattan is a much better value. Do your research before making baseless claims.
@@danmccarty4768 I paid $950 for the Lectric XP 2.0 on the Black Friday deal. Shipping was FREE. And they threw in a suspension seat post, big comfy seat, bigger better front light and a Lock for FREE. NOW THAT’S VALUE. PS. I will agree the bigger battery on the Rattan is a big plus. A $150 value. Again the Radmini Plus is the real competition to the rattan.
That is an awesome bike dude. Although the lock you're using is decent, if I were you I'd definitely get a stronger bike lock, like a Kryptonite New York chain or another of the same chain that you're currently using. Some people out there are really sophisticated and will do anything to steal a bike, has happened my bikes a lot
How does this one compare to the lectric xp 3.0? I ask because this rattan bike got some really bad reviews on amazon that said it was dangerous and riders had handlebars collapse while riding leading to injury.
Thanks man very informative... I'm looking around for the perfect bike and this is on my list... As for the backseat .... I'm thinking about testing it out to see how much weight it can actually hold...
I also have both bikes and here is my opinion: Rattan Service is bad mainly because Rattan could not confirm my purchase from another "platform" I purchased it from (yea, WTF is another platform???. Good thing I kept everything I gotten from the purchase). They also said they wanted pictures. I told them they had cross-threaded the pedals. I don't know about you, but I dont have the skills/equipment to photo threads. This went back and forth for a few weeks. Frustrated, I took it to a bike shop and they had to replace the pedals (they sucked anyhow) and both cranks (need to match). So, yea, I am very disappointed at Rattan. IMHO They know the cross-thread is an issue, but they will make you jump through hoops to get it resolved. Otherwise, this review is accurate.
I have the original model with 500 w motor. I like the bike overall. Hitting a bump disables the cruise control. Not sure if it's a safety feature or an issue. Never called Rattan because I don't care that much. Good range. Very fast. 28 mph on full charge. Almost too fast. Definitely can't pedal at that speed. 4th speed is the sweet spot. Rear seat is silly garbage. I took it off and attached a padded bag. Like the look over Lectric xp.
Hey bit off topic but I came across your exurb1a video and was wondering if experiment A was ever released? Or if there is somewhere where I could find the evidence of exur1ba”s actions.
My rattan lm500 I had for 1 year just got stolen a couple days ago. So was thinking about getting the lectric xp one because it's a little cheaper but no science this video and another one ima just get the same but rattan lm750 and use your code. I love that bike I can't believe I have to get spend my Ecole check on getting another one but it's my vehicle so. I hope I see that person
I have noticed that it is exceptionally hard to find actual videos where people paid for the product. Most are biased because they were supplied by the eBike companies:-(
Great review, since having bike how do u feel about customer service I’ve heard Lectric customer service is fantastic and they also offer extended warranties
That is interesting, because I have heard that the actual customer service, for both Lectric & Rattan, is horrible. BTW, although people mistakenly believe that Lectric is an American based company, out of AZ, the actual bike is manufactured in China, just like all the rest:-(
I have noticed that the majority of reviews for these E bikes are from people who got them for free in order to write a review. Those reviews are hardly unbiased.
This power recycling systems are rubbish so far, you can get back 10 or 15 % max. If you go up hill you must use lets say 700-900 watts but when you go down with same hill you got back around 70 - 100 Watts, same ting with breaking , to go some speed you need almost 10 times more energy than you receive from breaking from. Another thing is range, if you use throttle and top level of power assist and you are 90 kilos biker than you can get from 750w engine and 15Ah max 25 miles range, plus 10,15% from breaking is not more than 30 miles range. But manufacturer says always double. I know coz I have already 8 bikes like this for last 7 years and they just same bikes with little mods.
Unfortunately, Lectric products and support are terrible. I'm not necessarily stating that the review is dishonest, but it comes from someone who makes a living pushing products. These product pushers do not genuinely believe in these products, do not stand behind these products, do not cover the myriad of problems with the company, product or suppoet, and do not attempt to ensure that people who purchase based on these recommendations have a good experience, because truths would hurt their livelihood.
The 50 dollar coupon code has been generated! Use code (Bullet Barry) to get $50 off the Rattan LM 750!
Is this video sponsored?
@@TagetesAlkesta
Sounds like he got it for free.
@@TagetesAlkesta This is a scam, if you reply you will be charged a lot of money.

Thanks for the review! I was looking at both brands and bought the Rattan after watching your review.
Had one for 2 years now and I love it!

Amazing comprehensive review - thanks so much for this video. Love the baskets on the bike!
Great review. Very thorough and stays on topic. Very helpful! Thanks!
1:15 You fell for advertising speak.
That is just regenerative braking, which is nothing new when it comes to E-bikes.
Barry w the top tier ebike reviews 😤

They shipped a bike that folded in half while in use? How are they still in business?
Any aftermarket batteries that fit? I've heard silverfish but no one to confirm it fits the bike

Hey! Did you ever find out how much weight you can really fit kn the back seat?
Excellent review
Could you share how to turn on headlight
Barry!!! I missed you!!!
Most of the stuff said in this video can be adjusting in the settings. To bad Rattan doesn't sell this version of the LM/LF 750 any more.

I need an electric bike to commute to work (about 5 miles each way) but how do you ride in the rain? Won't the computer parts get ruined?
Wish there was a way to break the governor.. I hear the old ones can be made to run faster.. Not so much for these

they probably said don't let another person ride on the bike because of legal stuff
that's what bike stores do in my country

It's slower than the 2.0
