They had surprise, numbers, and long guns against dudes with sabers and a couple pistols but decided to charge into hand-to-hand while Tavington has deadshot and quick reload equipped
I dunno man, if someone shot me in battle and then made a specific point of going back to grab a knife just to go overkill on my "corpse" while I lay dying on the ground I'd probably not have any compassion either
Yeah lol. When I was in the Infantry our training really emphasized shooting bodies before even approaching. If that wasn’t applicable for whatever reason we were trained to kick them as hard as possible in the balls. Booby trap opossum tactics were a very real thing apparently.
Tavingtons second reload of his pistol was wayy too fast comapored to the first one even as a kid I didnt buy that, still a badasss scene tho none the less...
There are so many things wrong with this scene dude threw his sword away just before reloading then he didn’t even fall anywhere near it. The two very fast shots with no reloading in the beginning from Gabriel’s musket. Then the dude puts the powder end in his mouth making the gun powder wet and useless they didn’t even show him pour it in the pistol because it probably wouldn’t come out of the paper. He knew he shot him in the stomach so having hunted his whole life knew he wasn’t dead.

To me this will always be Jason Isaacs' best villain role.
I loved him in Chamber of Secrets though!
YOU LOST ME MY SERVANT!

Yeah idk considering how awesome Mel Gibson was he did raise pretty stupid boys
The "Oh God... oh God help me..." part was so powerful. You just felt the disbelief turning into crushing despair. Great acting.
Terrible
Odo tossed a musket to the Joker to try to take down Lucius Malfoy, but to Braveheart's dismay, apparently magic beats shape-shifting-inspired chaos.
That's ok in the end Martin Riggs takes him out !
man mel bison is such a good actor
Who is Mel Bison? 😄

I saw this movie on the premiere's day in Santiago de Chile that nineteen ninety eight year: I enjoyed it so much.
A fathers pain is something that makes most men very somber and sad. Its just pure heartbreak.
For a moment Tavington looked into the eyes of Gabriel as if he actually had a sense of compassion.... but nooooo!

@@Mike-wc1ns Yeah I don’t see The compassion thing either
Stupid boy!
Looked more like recognition
I saw that as well. Always wondered what that meant in the movie?
Mel Gibson’s facial expressions - wow - incredible actor
Stevie Wonder could see that coming

agreed
The guy who played Tavington must be a really good actor because before he even open his mouth I hated him.
With those old muskets at any range you could just step sideways when you see the flash pan, lol. I mean like 100 yards plus.
They gonna stare at each other 😂
Never trust the enemy.

He bit the paper cartridge to release the powder, and maybe get the ball in his teeth.
I don’t get it, how was Odo shot by solids?
He died early. RIP
Was this scene representing the conflict between the Loyalists and the Patriots in the South?
Is life really worth it? Remember what it was like before you were alive? Was that so bad?
Great villain here,....saw this at the cinema,....sucked seeing Heath die....😢....!!
He ran away like a vampire.

Never noticed before but Mel kills him the same exact way at the end
If John Billings hadn't killed himself, Gabriel would likely be alive and Tavington would have likely died here.
Difficult film to watch. Apologizing for the younger brother always gets me…
Why so serious?
Mel Gibson is one of the 🐐
Mel ugly crying will get you every time.
Mel Gibson just killed that scene. Great acting. 😢
Joker prequel ^^
As a guy who has a degree in History at the University of South Carolina this is 100% bullshit (still a great scene though)
😄😄😄🤦
