Low round count drills are all I can afford with the price of ammo in today’s market
Ha! Ain’t that true
Humble guys performing well. Thanks
I would strongly recommend full over the ear hearing protection when shooting indoors. I thought your shot timer was a bit faint, but from someone who lost hearing from automatic weapons and explosions you helped a lot by turning it up. I thought it was broken.
Anyway, love the audio trigger timing. I believe it to be the best drill to settle your trigger finger down, and not let it pull or push off the target. Sometimes you get an out of control trigger finger and you have to show it who’s boss.😎
Absolutely brutal drill. I like it
Right on
I’ve tried this drill many times and no pass yet.. I feel I’m a good shooter. I recently got a dot I’m hoping 🤞🏼 I can pass sometime in my life.. Love to listen to your friend Chuck..
I need an update my friend!😗
Dry fire, dry fire, dry fire. It takes work.
I'm an Aussie 🇦🇺 we do a similar comp here at my local. 25 metres, target opens for 3 seconds, closes for 7, for 5 shots, times 4 repeats. We must drop the pistol to 75°, can't put it down but ironsights only ... definately let's you know if youre not as good as you think 🤓. Stay safe.
“Like no joke, y’know kick doors in, shoot people in the face, operator.” - John Correia
Thats so fucking sick. Thats like movie shit
But real life
This one is spicy! Range is long. Time is tight. Error is zero. Must shoot it cold. I like it!
So when I've had people come out to shoot and they're disappointed with their shot placement or grouping, I try to give them some perspective. Now take that paper target and hold the x over the center of your breastbone. Now look at the shot placement on a human sized target. Would those shots have saved your life, and/or stopped the assailant?
Great drill! I think I’ll listen to the par several times to get a feel for 3.5 seconds. Seems like taking nearly the full time to let the sight settle really helped, so getting a feel for what the par time feels like is helpful. I’m a musician and I wonder if non-musicians feel time the same way or differently than non-musicians and non-dancers.
Getting used to the time you have is crucial.
"High level shooting stuff....." No doubt John, it is. I very much need to practice more and give this a go..... cold. 😉
Thank you both and keep yourselves safe!
Randy
Good timing, I'm headed to practice this morning.
Also, I'm not excited about this drill. ::Sigh:: Time to embrace the suck.
What ya running..😷
@@17thwhiteprince Don't laugh too much. I was on a P95 all factory.
Giving myself the one over-time I got 5/10, all ten on paper but nowhere near this standard.
Good for you guys. Will try it out.
Good luck!
Man I can do that drill perfectly in my sleep!!
Awake?
Eh… how about those Mets??
Thanks John's.
60% of the time it works... EVERYTIME!
It's the Sex Panther of drills!
Spicy!!
Very.
yes!!
I’m coming so close with the Staccato C... But I can’t get it done. No way I can do it with a G19 open sights either. I have to say this is probably my favorite pistol drill.
VERY difficult!
I really want to try this.
I enjoy these videos the most.
Give me something to do
see if i can pass
That drill is brutal
Honestly though I’m comfortable drawing with either hand and gripping with either hand. Faster draw with left hand drastically but a wee bit more accurate right handed. Being left handed is a struggle 😂
I could probably hit the paper target 50% of the time. I've actually never taken 25 yard pistol shot.
John Correia was at a disadvantage. When he shot, the other guy just hit the timer at random. When Correia ran the timer, he usually said "Stand by" or "Shooter ready?" I think that made it a bit easier for his partner... I need to try this drill! But I'll have to go from low ready. 😞
Do you have a link to when you met up with Chuck???? I can’t find it?? I’d love to see that
Spicy rating: two peppers. (Substitute hard/difficult = five peppers)
how would you adjust the time from a low ready? the ranges I go to don't allow drawing from the holster
I would subtract 1 second. So from the ready, 2.5 seconds.
Lol great instructor lol they must be participation ribbons
Would be interesting to see how the gentleman who took out the Whitesettlement church shooter could do on this.
Jack Wilson is a heck of a shooter.
What shot timer is that

The reality is that you BOTH still got EVERY shot into the torso. Are you going to take the target out the fight in one shot? Maybe not, but FIBS Factor is definitely engaged. You say it all the time...the first one to get a good shot is likely going to win the fight. My only real issue with this drill is that you are standing there, ready. If you are giving yourself 3.5 seconds, I want to see you holding something you need to drop and talking to the other guy while he randomly starts the clock when you are thinking about something else. Nice drill, though. I think I'm going to add it to my practice.
Your ideas are fine however this drill is for developing the skill and response for a specific type of problem. There's lots of different ways these can be done for developing different aspects of the fight.
3 shots out isn’t bad tho nice shooting for 25 yards
john keanu wick, jack reacher, the gray man, john rain et al make it look easy. need warnings not to get ideas from movies
I give those warnings on the main channel ALL THE TIME! :)
You guys are going to shoot your junk off carrying like that.
I've never touched a gun in my life so you don't need any advice from me, but doesn't the counting throw you off? Cause then you just try to get near the 3.5 second mark rather than shoot when you have the perfect aim
Well, I am aiming at the same time. :) It's a verbal clock so I don't rush, actually.
@@ASPextra Ahh that makes sense, rushing is never good
