My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa. Paris (yes the one in France) has been my home for years now and I have every intention of staying here for as long as they'll have me. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlogged daily for 3+ years, and love pizza a little too much. Wow! Great vlog! You look great without the beard. Also the glasses are nice. I understand about the cavities. I've yet to have one, knock wood, and it is a point of pride and identity. Cooper will love you no matter what because he can sense how much you love him.

Nice glasses. I had been the same my whole life untill about 37 when I started needing regular reading glasses and then 40 it just went REALLY fast. The one thing though was despite having had 'perfect' sight my whole life prior I discovered when getting my eyes checked for glasses that I have a completely different prescription in my left vs. right eye WHICH kind of makes a hell of a lot of sense of the fact that I NEVER could figure out where a ball was in space and have HATED all ball related sports my entire life. Anyhow, fun to see some vloggy content over here again.
Nice to see you back on UA-cam, you’ve been missed. I do follow you on Instagram but to be honest, I really don’t use instagram much as I don’t really understand how to find all the reels/stories etc and when I try to find anything on there it seem to disappear 🤔😩 very frustrating!

can relate turned 70 in august - up until six months prior never had an ache, pain took not one single pill. had a few ridiculous issues this year dealing with typical aches and stuff. learning to just roll with it, but for me a a fitness instructor i took pride in arriving to 70 with nothing wrong, well almost.
Glasses look good, they frame your eyes and face nicely! Also i haven't commented on one of our vids in a while, but good seeing you're doing well! I met you when you came to LA in 2018 and again soon after when i visited Paris in July that same year. If you ever come back to LA, i'd be happy to host! I'm near downtown. Take care!

I had glasses since age 8, then contacts since high school. So at age 50 I needed cataract surgery because I grew up in SoCal and Hawaii and didn’t use enough sun protection. Used the opportunity correct my astigmatism with iLasik. Best thing in the world as it gave me crystal clear vision for the first time in my life.
No more contacts and only a pair of work glasses for computer use.

The U.S. Ambassador's residence in Paris is absolutely stunning. My friends and I were invited to celebrate July 4th many years ago when I was lived there. I'll never forget that day.

Love the clean shaven face and the glasses! Today is a lazy day as it’s cloudy and raining. Agree with the short summer. That said, I’m not a fan of hot weather and am enjoying the gorgeous weather. I don’t even mind the rain.

I tried to manage with cheap reading glasses for over a year then when I got some proper prescription specs it was a game changer. Your glasses look great, they really suit you. 👍👍

Aw Jay, I feel ya on the ‘I have perfect 20/20 vision’ pride, right up until my early 30s … then all of a sudden I needed glasses! I still have very good vision, in fact I rarely actually put on my glasses, but it’s no longer perfect. Just part of life that if I want to do something like read the print on the back of a medicine package or the ingredient list on a box, I have to pull out the ol’ glasses. They do look good on you!

lol, did you know wearing glasses make you look smart. So wear your glasses every time you want to look smart. lol I have been wearing my glasses for over 50 years and yes I've had people ask me a lot of questions that I knew I didn't have the answer too but its funny. I like seeing your entire face. I feel as if men sometimes hide behind their facial hair. It will be nice to have you back on a more regular basis as you were always designated stop any time I went to UA-cam. Also I envy you the early autumn. In Northern CA we are still coping with temperatures just below 100 & I am thankful that we seem to have dropped out of the triple digits. It has been an extremely hot summer here. I'm sure Cooper prefers moderate weather as very hot weather is hard on Boston Terriers as they are brachycephalic. My little fur baby (a Miniature Schnauzer) has spent most of her time indoors this summer because of the extreme heat.
I like the new look Jay and those glasses suit you. I'm not much of an Instagram person. I have an account but only look at it once in awhile. Now you have given me a reason to start checking it out more often. I hope you have a wonderful Fall season. The trees are just starting to change colours here in Southwestern, Ontario, Canada. The temps are starting to head down into the 70s which is so comfortable. Cooper is looking as sweet as ever.

La Mutinerie has entered redressement judiciaire after the olympics drop it's rough out there. And it's a shame because I ended up being very pleased with how the olympics went so I think most fears that people escaped for ended up not being too bad.
But hey at least the new look is cool right that's what everybody's worried about
