I quit weed and I started reading a book roughly an hour before bed. I had a better sleep than I ever did while using weed. Now I get like 30 min into reading and im falling asleep every night. If you're struggling, try reading a book.

Lol I just hate the insomnia and anxiety/depression the first couple days after quitting. It’s only a few dAys but man, that insomnia and anxiety and lack of hunger fucks with you
I can deal with insomnia ( don’t have anxiety) but the food part is getting bad for me. I’m way bigger than the average person and I’m eating less than a homeless person . No energy at all , but that’s the consequences of getting myself tied to marijuana.
Now that you have a clear mind this is God trying to talk to you. When you wake up take some time and read his word and dwell in his presence. He’s the only one that can get you through this and he wouldn’t put more on you than you can bare. Trust in him. Play some sermons or gospel music or bible verses while you sleep and it works. I really hope someone sees this. I went through this before. I was 110 days clean. The first time it was horrible. I’m not gonna lie. But I smoked every hour on the hour for like 7 years straight. Then just quit cold turkey. The insomnia was driving me nuts. But it GETS BETTER I literally would be awake crying asking god to help me. Because I could not sleep at all. It got better after almost 3 weeks. Here I am again a year later going through the withdrawals again because I relapsed. Thankfully the insomnia is not as extreme which I am great full. It’s there but not as anxiety ridden. LETS DIG DEEP AND DO THIS TOGETHER!!! I’m also quitting nicotine at the same time. Let’s take control of our lives again. 😢
This channel is criminally underrated. The information provided is invaluable. 63k subs, should be 6.3 mill. Keep up the great work, youre helping many people, maybe far more than you know.
People act like weed helps you sleep but for me it’s the opposite I can’t stop thinking about things and just stay up late on my phone and never know when to put it down
Same, I just got diagnosed with ADHD, started adderall two weeks ago and I’m on day 3 of no weed. Had an anxiety attack earlier that had me really want to smoke weed but I abstained.
I’m on day 7 and you’ve really helped me man. I have horrible sleep every night and I’m just trying to really push thru it and never smoke again. I was smoking for almost 8 years straight so it’s a huge challenge for me but I can go without eating the sleeping at night drives me crazy haha. I will get past this!!!
how did you survive this? I vape on & off, now I vaped for 4 weeks straight ... I've quit since 6 days & I want to cry because I just can't sleep. Can't imagine how ppl survive this after months & years of smoking 😭 I regret it soo bad, I just want to sleep
Regular cannabis user since 1986, started using concentrated cannabis ( dabs) heavily and chronically since 2009. What helped me to get to sleep was listening to music through sound canceling ear buds. Calming music was the key to get to sleep for me. Currently struggling to abstain after a relapse after 6 month clean, day 7 and counting. The struggle is real.
Week 2 of stopping smoking weed, quitting wasting my money and time! Also sleep is getting much easier just wanted to show my support. This guy's amazing thank you again Dr Frank!!!
I'm going through this right now, although for me it isn't severe because I haven't been smoking for that long, just trouble falling asleep and reduced appetite, but this is helping: -Working out atleast 5 hours before bedtime -Warm shower before bed -Make room a little colder -Listen to ASMR in earphones while trying to fall asleep. I promise you, you'll sleep within an hour and STAY asleep.
Idk maaan, people’s body work differently, I worked out everyday and nothing working dude🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻 takes me forever for me to fall asleep and can’t stay asleep and had to fucking wake up for school and fucking take test😒
I’m 22 and I’ve been smoking since the pandemic and today I started cold turkey. I tried quitting Weed in the past but the anxiety and insomnia are what gets to me the most. In 4 weeks, I’ll turn 23 and I look forward to finally kicking the habit
@@eazyemco Don't over do it on the first couple times, the migraines suck. Start with 3-5mgs . 3mgs gets me 4 hours of sleep. 1 mg got me to sleep for like an hour(after not sleeping for 3 days) so I tried 3mgs . The first time trying 3mgs I got a migraine but now I don't get them anymore. Some people take 10mgs but I think that is excessive the recommended starting dose is 1-5 mgs depending on your weight. (i weigh 120lb) used to be 140lb but i had gallbladder problems then surgery . Be in your bedroom with lights off and not on your phone and after about 30-ish minutes to an hour you will be out. Also take L-theanine supplements.
@@eazyemco Quick update: everything looks so colorful and i feel like I’m trippin😂 the whole 2 weeks was str8 up garbage but eyeopening. I lost about a good amount of weight bc of no appetite. The one thing that kept me strong was looking forward to work. I noticed some behaviorial changes as well where I get ticked off easily but I space myself out to suppress and it helps. I still feel the urge just a little bit but I found that spending time with a friend or even just going outside really helps you take ur mind off it. 3rd week starting and I’ve been following a workout and diet plan to get me back in shape. I also returned back to the faith and started going to church every Sunday. My work has also improved in terms of results and a much better headspace for me think. The process isn’t as perfect and you’d hope to be. If there’s anything I learned it’s that you have to pay attention to your body and your mind. Acknowledging the problems is the first step to accountability after all eh?😂 and also you have to learn how to say no to yourself as you’ll only feel stronger once you do. I hope all is well with y’all. Likewise, stay in the cold and stay strong my brothers.
honestly, the hardest part of quitting weed (even if temporarily for me) was accepting the fact that i was wrong. i lied to my friends and family about the fact that it is not *that* addictive, i always compared it to things like video games/electronic usage, its just something i enjoy ALOT i thought. so wrong, wrong as fuck. everything in moderation fellas. i want to return to weed one day with REAL respect for the plant again
Same here.. I would have laughed at anyone talking about "weed addiction" or "weed withdrawals" Tomorrow marks 3 weeks for me and holy shizz.. I've been soooo wrong for 18 years! Never thought it would be so difficult. My opinion has done a 180 for sure. Wishing the best to everyone else on this journey.
Same here, the first step tho is always admitting you have a problem, that’s what I did but it made me feel like I had finally realized that big change I need
Exactly. I was never a wake and bake or daytime guy but would usually have low to moderate dose edibles after work every day. I quit alcohol and kratom recently and now that im thinking clearer i realized that usikg weed everyday isnt in alignment with my goals. Maybe once a week is fine but im def taking some time off and resetting my body. Enough is enough if been doing it way too often for 20 years now
I'm finally at a good spot with it. I smoke less than 1/10 of a gram per day. I have a little diamond scale to weigh it out. The things that I found helpful: try not to ever ever eat food when you're high. Set a time in the day that you're going to smoke, and stick to it. I won't smoke before 9:00 p.m. My window is usually 9:00 p.m. to 10:30. These days, with that tiny amount of smoking, I get high AF every night. It doesn't cost me hardly anything at all, and I wake up feeling refreshed and good. I also noticed on this minimal amount, my dreams have come back and they are great.
Some people you can tell are doing it for the love of it this doctor is one of them u can tell he’s doing this to really help people out because he went through this himself and one can tell u about an experience unless they go through it good job doc
Maaaaan I had quit for 4 months and I was feeling great! The best part was not having to look forward to smoking when I got off work or not having to rely on it to have a good time. I felt free I really did. That was until I was cleaning my room one day and I found an old thc pen in one of my drawers. I stared at it for a good 10 seconds and I told myself I wasn’t going to do it…. I was weak I told myself “heck I’ve been clean for 4 months what’s a good puff and throw it away” I was wrong I took a hit and I kinda kept just taking “small” hits until I eventually went back to my old ways. I relapsed hard. My cousin came over to my house and we smoke a full blunt. She left me what was left of bud. And I smoked it for the next few days until last night I finished the last of it. Now I’m going to try again. I’m looking to UA-cam for advise or tips on how to quit and so here I am. Wish me luck guys. I have a little one on the way and I’m terrified I won’t be able to quit not even for him.
I’m going though the same thing right now I’m so sorry :( im also scared I won’t be able to quit for my own self and my boyfriend. Things feel awful rn but I hope you get through this ❤️
I'm 50 now and have been a daily toker for 32 years (minus 4 in which I quit). Weird thing is...back in the 90's, when all I could get was bud with stems and seeds, I never experienced this syndrome. About 2015 this started on me. Luckily, I've rode them out except once I went to the ER. They didn't come up with anything. Only seemed to begin when I started cartridges. Not saying that's the cause. Flower and other kinds of products today have just gotten quite strong. This syndrome with me is a crapshoot. I've quit before and when I look back, yah I wasn't sick for those years. So I've slowed to just a few flower tokes a day but I'm still taking chances. Yes, abstinence is unfortunately the only answer. You'll find that your intestines will return to normal after a while, bowel movements, etc. and that daily pit in your stomach feeling will go away. You can eat again and the insomnia will lessen daily. Knowing I've stopped before makes this time quitting really much easier. Good luck all.
Glad to have you here, and yes I think the cartridges are a big big issue. I think a lot of those are to blame for many of the issues we are now seeing.
Im 35 and started smoking weed on the daily basis when i was 17. I grown up in east Europe(Hungary). I always smoked skunk we didnt have anything else basycally just the strong stuff. All the stuff came from Holland and Germany. My withdrawal is fucking horrible mate i quitting 3rd hopefully last time, but this is just ,mad(insomnia, irritability you can name it i have it all). I relapsed because i had motorbike accident a year ago and in the hospital they gave me Codein non stop so when i went home i had to come of from Codein and i thoght ok i need weed now. since then im smoking 2g every day and its affected every aspect of my life. They say weed is harmless .NO its not maybe back then when everybody smoked kaliweed and seedy grass but now this shit is potent and can cause serious mental healtyh problems.

This video hits home hard, the only real physical withdrawal symptoms I have had are lack of appetite, general malaise, and really bad insomnia. Heading into day 6 tomorrow, almost a week, the worst of it is behind me the actual sweating through the night, but I am still waking up constantly and not dreaming, and not feeling rested when I wake up. Keep on pushing and I know it will all come back, I am literally quitting a 20 year habit, so, 2 decades of weed will surely take my brain sometime to rewire. Big thanks Dr Frank, your content is truly helpful!
I haven’t slept well for almost a month! I quit THC about 3 weeks ago and I’m having a terrible time sleeping. I fall asleep just fine, but after a few hours, I’m up. I eat well, exercise, I quit soda, I’m abstaining, or at least trying to, from pornography. I do feel better in a lot of ways, except I’m so damn tired. I do consume caffeine, but now in green tea form. That’s like the last vice I have. I’ll try to cut back on that since I do drink a lot of it. I’m sure in time things will balance out.

I just quit for 3 months and the insomnia never stopped. I tried every single natural method and nothing worked. Recently started smoking again and can’t stop sleeping. So lazy and lethargic, all I wanna do is sleep. It’s been about a month of this. I liked being sober better but I hated the insomnia. I’m trying to quit again, starting to taper off now but really scared about the insomnia. Looking forward to this video thx. ✊🏽

I haven't smoked nic in a week and now it's my 3rd day of not smoking weed. 2nd night probably no sleep but watching your videos is helping my motivation. I don't need to sleep right now😂 I wish but waiting is worth it instead of relapsing to "fall asleep" and then there goes the cycle again lol. I didn't even plan on quitting weed, but since I've been in therapy healing my traumas, it just feels like the right thing to do. Which is WEIRD for me cause weed is my love haha but I was way too dependent on it and I want to beat all addictions so I can feel freeeeeeee! I don't want to feel like I "need" a substance anymore. Thank you for posting these they help so much
Hang in there ! I quit weed in November of last year after almost 10 years of smoking it before bed, needless to say i had insomnia for the first 2 weeks but then it went away once your mind gets back to normal and gets rid of all the toxins and chemicals it was used it ,little by little. It was worth it
It’s good to know it’s the weed causing the insomnia. I’m not a big smoker, but for about a month I was eating and smoking everyday around 7PM. I started with strong homemade brownies and those would completely knock me out on the come down. Tried smoking and I wasn’t able to get the deep high I got from edibles and I started having trouble sleeping. Last night I didn’t touch it at all and was one of the worst nights ever. Had to get up at 4:30AM for work and only got 1 hour of sleep before my 10 hour shift. I’m hoping I can fall asleep quick tonight. Probably done with weed for a while now. Just becomes too addicting and I start consuming it everyday. Im not the type of person who can just take it 1-2 days a week.
Lack of sleep sucks, my body also is incapable of regulating temperature, one min in freezing, the next I’m sweating my ass off, I’ve quit and restarted a few times though. So I know the first few days/weeks are tough, but it’s so worth it in order to get your life back!
You don't withdrawal from the weed its the Tobacco in the weed which gives you withdrawal symptoms smoke Tobacco and the withdrawal symptoms will go then weem your self of the Tobacco if you don't like Tobacco this will be easy hope this helps iv smoked for 18 years everyday around 6 7 spliffs a day I quite cold turkey and had no withdrawal symptoms due to smoking Tobacco I sleep 8 hours just fine but I have found I am still very tired in the day iv been weed free for 3 months no and do not even think about it anymore but the tiredness is what's effecting me.
@@moniesn12 not true. I’ve tried quitting both and they give different symptoms. And I can literally feel my body wanting the weed vs wanting the tobacco
Omg thank u sm. I’m not going cold turkey tried it and got very sick lost sm weight. But I’m going slowly and trying. I hate this addiction and am done.
I've quit weed many times, honestly, the worst for me was the night sweats and anxiety. On the plus side, I actually enjoyed having dreams again regardless of how wack they were. Good luck ppl
It’s over 14 months I’ve quitted tobacco :weed after using it for 20 years . Insomnia was terrible Also I’ve piled on over 2 stones . Who cares ! Now I sleep like a baby lol Guys , it get better , be strong , be brave , be free !
Thank you I am currently struggling with quitting marijuana I am on day 4 and my insomnia is bad. However, now I will prioritize my sleep and diet instead of trying to use melatonin.
I know from the past that for me insomnia is the single worst symptom of quitting thc because how the lack of sleep then impacts the rest of your life. Besides tha, a mild depression was persistent as well as a feeling of mundane existence and lack of joy. Pretty much the opposite if being high. I love cannabis and I no longer want to abuse it and suffer these negative repercussions so I plan to quit for a month and then only use thc very sparingly. I dread the insomnia and weird vivid dreams I know are coming but I'm hoping these tips aid my recovery.
No. I still smoke everyday. Not a lot but a couple bowls. It is an addiction but I also know if I'm faced with quitting cold turkey I can handle the withdrawal symptoms and I will more or less be back to homeostasis within about a month or so. @@GingerAle4Life
After 30 years of struggling with the off and on again dance, I've learned that taking amino acid GABA with a side of Ashwagandha will turn the intensity down several notches. I also will take two teas at the same time, one for sleep the other for relaxation. You can also take amino acid L-Tyrosine on the flip side of the low energy dilemma during the day. That will set you straight with mental clarity and energy. Add a B vitamin with the Tyrosine to super charge that idea.
Appreciate you my guy!! Been smoking since 12 years old!! Cut THC off cold turkey last August 2021. Had no withdrawals whatsoever. Started smoking again literally Jan 1 2022! (got tempted) On my second attempt ATM. Currently on lunch break with 2 hour of sleep and no feeling of hunger!! This trips me out but if I did it once I can do it again!! Insomnia + lack of appetite = TWEAKED OUT !! 😭
It’s a real thing you sound delusional. I know people who have no problem quitting and I know people fighting demons rn. So for you to say it’s not real makes you look very delusional
Dude you are the f’ing man. Ive been a weed advocate for many years until now. I have been so addicted that the marijuana effect doesnt even work anymore(insomnia). Now ive been weed free for 2 weeks mow (still have insomnia). Im convinced it will just take some time..i exercise heavily but can only sleep for a few hours at a time. I have no problem getting tired and falling asleep even on day one of quitting smoking which is actually the most frustrating part. I remain sore for days after working out and also am still having mood swings..im not going to ever smoke weed again as i dont want to have dementia by the time im 40 as im only 32 and this is not normal to not be able to get deep sleep
i smoke regularly, and dream very little. do you recommend quitting cold turkey or tapering off? thanks, i've been watching your channel because I'm trying to take a break from smoking.
I’m in the first few days stage of quitting. I’m not planning on quitting forever but I’m trying to get into lucid dreaming and since THC suppresses REM sleep I have to sacrifice it for a bit at least. What’s weird is I could still remember 1-3 dreams a night when smoking weed but they are def more vivid when I don’t smoke. Problem is I wake up every two hours without it and sometimes can’t go back to sleep. I hope it doesn’t last too long because I’m excited to explore the dream world a bit more. Thanks for the tips!
I am one week in and the insomnia and random panic/anxiety is tearing me apart. I am quitting so I can go further in life with a career. I want to be able to operate buses/trains! Marijuana took those dreams away from me when I started using it heavily for 7 years. I have an appointment with a therapist this coming Friday. Trying to be super strong and work through everything I have been masking with marijuana. I really appreciate your tips and am trying to take 2mg melatonin before 9 to try and get me in bed by 10. The anxiety is a different story and it just sucks to randomly panic.
@@Thisismyhandle221 Sure! It has been 9 months now and the insomnia and anxiety went away after about 2 months. I applied for Metro LA and have been in training for bus driving for about a month, slowly working myself into the career. Going to a therapist helped me to have someone to talk to when I needed it. It does get better and now I dont even think about smoking marijuana at all, even if I am around others who are, it doesnt tempt me. I feel a lot better and can breathe a lot better, quitting was a really amazing decision!
day 2 of being clean after 10 years of dabbing 1g-3gs of oil a day.... From 14 to 24 years old... this is BRUTAL, I subbed and liked the video, its the first one I came across that's helping me process these withdraws, if anybody else is dealing with this, I wish you all the best
Day 2 no weed at all. The insomnia was making me go crazy. I had the night sweats, tossing and turning all night, getting anxiety seeing the hours go by and I could not sleep. I used to take edibles daily to sleep. Waking up and not getting any sleep was rough. I felt depressed, anxious and I didn’t even want to eat. I just felt like absolute shit. Last night I turned on a candle and meditated on my couch and really tried to relax. Mind you I’m crying because I’m desperately asking the universe to help me sleep. I finally slept like 5-6 hours. I had the craziest dreams! I finally got REM sleep which is good. I’m happy and looking forward to my future. It’s not going to be easy but it’ll be worth it. I hope whoever is going through the same thing…just remind yourself these feelings are temporary…this pain and suffering isn’t forever..and it will be worth it. We got This!
Hello Carolina, i hope you’re doing better now and sleeping better. I quitted Marihuanna 2 weeks ago and I’ve been able to sleep but dreaming all night thru. I’m exhausted when I wake up even feeling sick right now since I started working out but since I keep dreaming I guess I don’t recover, and my organs are not resting. What kind of exercise did you do for 5 hours that helped you sleep better? I’m very intrigued and I’d like to try, guess my workout are not working.
never had insomnia. im a heavy smoker every day and i can just quit at any time easily (and i do usually once every couple of years) and zero side effects. i dont notice any performance difference at all in my life literally none from stoppieg. its definitely an individual thing. i just dont dream when i smoke.
I use marijuana the same way, use heavily and take long breaks from using it. However, I do have the insomnia and lack an appetite. I wish I can be like you lol.
I have literally tried everything you suggested in this video and I’m still struggling with the insomnia. I’ve started to be able to fall asleep by taking valerian root and reading before bed, but I am constantly waking up 1-2 times an hour and I’m only sleeping 4-5 hours.
It only last 3 to 4 days. Set about an hour before bed time and take a long relaxing soak in a hot tub. A cup of warm milk in combination will help put something into you stomach. So now you can go to bed relaxed, and with something in the belly.
Bro I'm on day 13 and I feel like shit, I can't sleep, can't eat like I've lost my appetite, having endless stomach pains like every single day😢😓I don't even feel like doing anything productive just Netflix binging is the only thing making me cope with weed withdrawal👊thanks your advice highly appreciated see you😍

Forcing myself to wake up at 4 am . And doing something productive . Helps me with the insomnia .... Lots of water and working out makes my etox easy easy ... its just that first day man
I’m only on day 1 and couldn’t touch a meal, I was starving but once it got in front of me I just felt sick, so close to relapsing this shit is so hard and I saw it all coming. Been smoking since 16 and I’m 18 now
2 weeks here after about 8 years of heavy smoking/vaping... some insomnia but not as bad as I thought, although I do crave it sometimes if I hear reggae or see videos with weed in them so try to avoid those
Trust me 2 yrs of abuse is not a whole lot, you should see how people that have been smoking for +20 yrs go when they try and quit. Hope u didn’t relapse man it’ll only make it harder the next time u try and quit
This guy is on point in regards to how I feel. I workout 4 days a week and run 10 miles a week. I'm a programmer and weed helps me stay focused. I didn't want to take any meds. I'm 12 days sober and it seems as if my focus has gotten better. I programmed for 10 hours straight with breaks in between and I now sleep at 10 and wake up at 7am. My Deep Sleep is 1.5 hours according to my Samsung. Quitting weed was rough but the way I feel now, I can't go back. I had a lot of energy but I have even more now. I ran a 3k on the treadmill and it just cut off lol. I could have just kept going. Plus, I'm saving about 250.00 a month. Damn KC dispensaries.
About to quit, I quit for 5 years before and it was so hard started getting panic attacks for like 6 months and mood swings night terrors and no sleep I'm a fool for starting again and having to go through this all again
Remind yourself this time around that you never want to deal with these symptoms again. Going through withdrawal and relapse does kind of suck... I have been there
Day 5 for me and i feel so much better my appetite is back and i dont feel that much anxiety, still dealing with a little bit of insomnia but overall am felling great.
Whilst im here and gjving up on attemting to sleep. Does anyone dream on weed as i do but everyone else says they dont. But always dreamt on weed. Remeber most my dreams to.
day 30 today, I am happy and proud about that. But I get some withdrawal effects. I wake up in the middle of the night, some nightmares. Worse is that I get melancholy on sunsets. so weird...
dude me too, i think it might be because i never smoked during the night (because of some past experiences with paranoia and weed at night) so i perceive it as me not being able to smoke anymore.. even tho i don't really plan on it. well, at least somethin like that
That was the main issue for me. I’m good now…I dream like crazy. I don’t have an addictive personality. I smoked cigarettes for a while and just stopped, drank for a while and just stopped, the only “vice” that stick was weed, I smoked that for YEARS. But I ran out one day and never got anymore…and just stopped. Then I needed to take a drug test so I really needed to stop and I just never picked it back up.
It has been extremely hard for me to stop smoking even though i know it is bad for me. I own a cannabis business and have product on hand any given time of the day and people always pushing heavy hitting products to me. I feel like i have to keep smoking to be the person i am. Cannabis has became part of my identity. Over 20 years in. Probably a gram of concentrate on a regular day.
if u feel u have to keep smoking i think it’s time for a reevaluation from yourself. ask yourself would you rather be healthy or struggle with these sucky symptoms
I've decided it's time to stop. I'm 30, I've probably smoked everyday for literally about 12 years. The biggest worries for me is the lack of sleep and the fact I drink more when I can't smoke (again to sleep). I might make an Instagram account to track progress, thinking about joining gym etc

So it's almost as If I didn't feel the nicotine withdraws or have any cravings.. Ive been smoking dispensary dabs all day long for 3 years about 1 - 2 g's a day to the point where I would sweat like a whole gallon at night just because my body was withdrawing every night in my sleep. I was ready. I smoked 1 hit at night right before bed for last 3 days while vigorously exercising throughout the day. yesterday I exercised for about 12 hours gym in morning, golfing during day, including a beach walk from 830 - 11 pm at night, my body was so exhausted when I got home and my eyes were literally blurry, but I slept from 12pm to 4am and I feel like a can run through a wall right now at 447 am at 30 hours sober , If your reading this and think you cant sleep from the insomnia you can If I can, I would recommend nothing no alcohol no no benzos, no melatonin, what worked for me for the first time in my life getting sober by myself to get to sleep was just exercising so much that my body had no option to sleep because I was so tired . I also cut out candy-sugar, soda and caffeine and have been eating fruits and ensures which was a giant help.
Me too, I'm stuck in a cycle, i dont sleep well so i smoke weed. Then when i stop weed because i get too tired from it, i get crazy insomnia, like no sleep at all, so i go back smoking because at least i can sleep and fonction the next day. I dont know what to do.
Thank you sooooo much for posting this. Weed (is the thing I use it for sleep) and caffeine addiction are the addictions that I’m suffering the most. You are so right about having sleep to alleviate and to resolve these addictions. I never connected that other addictions could possibly keep one awake such as porn for example, but it makes sense since people who watch that are being exposed to blue light. My caffeine addiction is so hard to quit. I’m willing to quit weed 100% knowing it will help with my memory.. so that means I gotta cut down the caffeine even though I feel so much better with it. You’re right that exercise in the morning is great, also a wonderful caffeine replacement. I’m gonna try this. Thank you again for your time. These addictions are horrible to deal with
Good luck Nick. I'm almost 3 weeks in to quitting nicotine vaping, weed and gummies. Was not sleeping at all, but recently bought Magnesium Calm gummies and slept through the night when I took them. Hang in there!!
Not sure how Nick is doing, but I got through it and am sleeping great now. Took about a month to start feeling better. Still smoking here and there though...
7 days of weed detox, Im finally able to sleep a bit and have dreams, less stress, I quit both weed and cigarettes cold turkey. Itt tough and still tough but I'm not gonna give up. Push ups help me to feel better
I've "stopped" smoking weed before and never had this insomnia issue. I actually quit caffeine and weed cold turkey at the same time. It's been almost a month and I don't have trouble falling asleep. It's staying asleep and getting a good night rest. I toss and turn which feels like every 30minutes
It's so damn hard to find the energy to work out when in WD, and the WD I'm talking about is intense compared to trying to kick nicotine/weed, and it makes you feel so extremely fatigued
I was looking for ways to smoothen hash withdrawals on yt and I didnt find much. Finding your video and its comment section was a blessing for me today. Thank you so much for talking about this issue. I still cant understand how people still claim that smoking hash is harmless and non-addictive. Again, I cant thank you enough for this video. 🙏🙏
Imagine smoking ur last cartridge then immediately shitting and pissing 1/3 of your bodymass, experiencing the worst insomnia across your entire life, your throat closes and hurts beyond belief, you can’t eat, you burn through 5L of water a day. And within a month you’ve lost 35 lbs. Welcome to extreme cartridge quitting, I’m your host; random man, and today we’ll be experiencing the worst of biochemistry as your body tears itself apart when it lacks thc.
Day 3 of being sober, it’s hard believe me, I sweat for the pass 3 days, I get mood swings, anxiety, nausea, and depression, im in the war of fighting this, also I get sleepy during the day, good thing about marijuana withdrawls that’s it’s nun life threatening!, keep that in mind peoole trust me, ur not going to die when it comes to withdrawals, your just naturally detoxing your self which is tuff thing to do. We could do it guys, im fighting it, it will be worth it at the end!, I pray every in my head that I know I will make it from this withdrawal. Think positive people👏🏽🤞🏽💯
What to do about the crazy dreams when quitting cannabis?? That's what makes me always go back to using again... I can't handle the extreme vivid dreams! Thank you for the great advice.
Interesting. I'm quitting partly because I want to experience those dreams. I've quit for long periods before and I find the dreams naturally gradually decrease in vividness
I suffered a panic attack and went to the ER a month ago. I was vaping legal thc all day every day but more for euphoria because i was never an anxious guy. Turns out the anxiety was caused by pain and inflammation in my ribcage. I was scared and quit vaping immediately. I took antibiotics (also bc of fear) and then steroids, and then prescription grade Aleve which tore up my digestive system and I lost 30lbs in a month. Basically I broke my body. It's difficult now to know which of my problems is causing insomnia. Not like I can "experiment" with sleep techniques when I have work in the morning.
Yeah. I don’t smoke until right before bed. I have complex trauma and was raised by a malignant narcissist who molested me and put me around “family” who did the same. I want a better job, but even now I sometimes have dreams where I wake up in what is basically a panic attack. Not sure what I can do. Basically have to relive trauma every night for an extra $5/hour. The system is fucking brutal. I don’t know if I can face my experiences every night.
Before I didn’t know weed could fk me up by having me awake the whole night, I would smoke again just to get enough sleep. Oh boy, was it the worst decision I have ever made in my entire life. I was going through that cycle and was really difficult to get out of it. However, I’ve quitted from weed and trust me IT GETS BETTER!!
Sometimes it takes a real reason for one to want quit I mean hitting rock-bottom will work but if it’s a medical reason that you have to quit then it shouldn’t be a problem but I’ve been through this with drawl shit and I’ve decided today that I am going to go through it again because I’m about to have cosmetic dentistry and I do not wanna cause any infections in my mouth from smoking any type of chemicals yes I hate it but guess what that’s what happens when you want to indulge. My last go around I used CBD liquid 1000 mg oh boy did I sleep The problem is yes you will sleep after consuming CBD but but then comes the daytime when it’s time to deal with reality and boredom.
I recommend quitting towards the end of the work week. Thursdays are a great day to quit because you only have to deal with 1 horribly sleep deprived workday. Or even call off Friday and the next Monday for a longer recoup time, that’s what I did. Not having to worry about a sleep deprived work day helps take the pressure off trying to fall asleep.
The most difficult for me in quitting weed . . is balancing out my C-ptsd symptoms in finding my balance in life . . in dealing with other ppl n my coping mechanisms. . .that use to feel some type of normalcy in my life . . now that im clean with a clear mind n heart n im constantly fighting my demons of my past that keep coming up for me. . .n im NOT reaching out to weed too soothe my mental health away like i used to . . .cause i used to be a chronic smoker for like 30 yrs . .
I’m so sorry I’m going through the same thing :( I suffer from BPD so I’m scared to be alone and on top of that I quit weed so it’s been a mess. I really hope you’re getting through this fine ❤️❤️

It’s the insomnia and anxiety for me man
Big time
I can deal with insomnia ( don’t have anxiety) but the food part is getting bad for me. I’m way bigger than the average person and I’m eating less than a homeless person . No energy at all , but that’s the consequences of getting myself tied to marijuana.

I been up almost 2 weeks ..promise myself after this I'm never smoking again...
at what point did your sleep come back?
I'm going on four weeks I've only been able to sleep with Ambien.
I always say this but then I relapse

Week 2 of stopping smoking weed, quitting wasting my money and time! Also sleep is getting much easier just wanted to show my support. This guy's amazing thank you again Dr Frank!!!
I'm going through this right now, although for me it isn't severe because I haven't been smoking for that long, just trouble falling asleep and reduced appetite, but this is helping:
-Working out atleast 5 hours before bedtime
-Warm shower before bed
-Make room a little colder
-Listen to ASMR in earphones while trying to fall asleep.
I promise you, you'll sleep within an hour and STAY asleep.

@@eazyemco It will get better, if you have too take melatonin to sleep.
You got this brother!
honestly, the hardest part of quitting weed (even if temporarily for me) was accepting the fact that i was wrong. i lied to my friends and family about the fact that it is not *that* addictive, i always compared it to things like video games/electronic usage, its just something i enjoy ALOT i thought. so wrong, wrong as fuck. everything in moderation fellas. i want to return to weed one day with REAL respect for the plant again
Same here.. I would have laughed at anyone talking about "weed addiction" or "weed withdrawals"
Tomorrow marks 3 weeks for me and holy shizz..
Enough is enough if been doing it way too often for 20 years now
iscream22 you quitted kratom and alcohol, thats so awesome dude! I know you can do this. 🍀

Thanks for giving me hope. Day 3 and last night i slept 2 hours or less. Couldnt fall asleep

This video hits home hard, the only real physical withdrawal symptoms I have had are lack of appetite, general malaise, and really bad insomnia.

Hang in there ! I quit weed in November of last year after almost 10 years of smoking it before bed, needless to say i had insomnia for the first 2 weeks but then it went away once your mind gets back to normal and gets rid of all the toxins and chemicals it was used it ,little by little. It was worth it
I hope you’re doing great. My second and last time quitting now.
I was always all or nothing myself
couldn’t have asked for a better video since i’m challenging myself to sober November

This is my plan as well. Did you have a better relationship with THC after?
No. I still smoke everyday. Not a lot but a couple bowls. It is an addiction but I also know if I'm faced with quitting cold turkey I can handle the withdrawal symptoms and I will more or less be back to homeostasis within about a month or so. @@GingerAle4Life
@JOHNTITOR-kg9zjI feel you. Some days I don't smoke in the afternoon. ;)
These are some of the best and most practical tips I found in UA-cam. Thank your sir for helping thousands of people quit weed. 🙏
Appreciate you my guy!! Been smoking since 12 years old!! Cut THC off cold turkey last August 2021. Had no withdrawals whatsoever. Started smoking again literally Jan 1 2022!
I hope you’re doing well and still weed free my friend.
i smoke regularly, and dream very little. do you recommend quitting cold turkey or tapering off? thanks, i've been watching your channel because I'm trying to take a break from smoking.

Hi, could you please give an update on your journey?
I’m so excited for this change in my life! Thanks for making these videos!
I have literally tried everything you suggested in this video and I’m still struggling with the insomnia. I’ve started to be able to fall asleep by taking valerian root and reading before bed, but I am constantly waking up 1-2 times an hour and I’m only sleeping 4-5 hours.

I have been there
Don’t tell urself your a fool allow yourself forgiveness. The fact u quit for 5 years is insane. U got it bro
I'm literally doing the same shit after 7 years its wrecking my head smoking it again good luck 👍

Worse is that I get melancholy on sunsets. so weird...
It’s normal I had these nightmares couple of times but ended up getting high to just so I can go back to sleep.....
dude me too, i think it might be because i never smoked during the night (because of some past experiences with paranoia and weed at night) so i perceive it as me not being able to smoke anymore.. even tho i don't really plan on it. well, at least somethin like that
That was the main issue for me.
Seem like a top notch bloke keep up this helpful content

I've decided it's time to stop. I'm 30, I've probably smoked everyday for literally about 12 years. The biggest worries for me is the lack of sleep and the fact I drink more when I can't smoke (again to sleep). I might make an Instagram account to track progress, thinking about joining gym etc

been listening to your videos for the last 2 weeks almost everyday seen all of them and I've rewatched them. Im 31 and been to rehab a few times for harder drugs in my early 20's and have a previous 5 years sober from 21-26, Stopped vaping after 5 years of Nic vaping every 30 seconds 13 days ago, I was originally meant to stop taking dabs from just the feeling of my life starting to slip away emotions and I was starting to get scared of being around people for how I would act about as weed psychosis as you can get, I was literally going insane , I think my addiction brain said give up nicotine so you can still still get high off dabs.
Insomnia is the reason I go back to cannabis. Every time. Because without enough sleep I can’t function.
Me too, I'm stuck in a cycle, i dont sleep well so i smoke weed. Then when i stop weed because i get too tired from it, i get crazy insomnia, like no sleep at all, so i go back smoking because at least i can sleep and fonction the next day. I dont know what to do.
Yes that happens to me 2 melatonin doesn't help only MJ😢😢

We have Licensed therapist on our team who can help with us I would be happy to put you in touch with them
Before I didn’t know weed could fk me up by having me awake the whole night, I would smoke again just to get enough sleep.
Day 3 insomnia
Use CBD. It will bring down the THC.
