    That door seal seriously is shocking how do people think its ok to wash their clothes in that washing machine maintenances should be shouted out more

    • @danielfox2586
      @danielfox2586 Місяць тому

      All that is because customer leave the door closed at the end so all the moisture of the door drips onto seal and bacteria love moisture

    that is RANK, how is the customer not embarrassed to even show it to you without giving it a wipe. The "Fairy non-bio for sensitive skin" is ironic considering the amount of mould inside and its effect on the skin. You did a great job anyway!

      Because in owners mind they're convinced its the machine/manufacturers fault its in that state.

    I don't understand what kind of a pig you have to be to get the machine end up in that state? I run a (cheap) whirlpool which is also from 2003 and it is perfectly clean and of course running without any issues.

    If that machine was a Hotpoint, it would've been scrapped years ago. This just shows how much abuse and carelessness these Miele washing machines can withstand.
    I have a W1 and it's as good as new because i look after it.

    I call them the tanks of the washing machine world. Those old 1990s Miele Novotronic washers are bulletproof unless you let them rot away. Regular cleaning twice per year and you’ll run it until 2040.

      I’d be ashamed if that was my machine. I admire you for sorting it. I had a similar machine to this in the past. It was utterly dreadful. I regularly ran hot washes and it always stank. And as for when was spinning it used to slide across the floor. We’ve had Miele in our family since 1965. That out me of their washing machines. I’ve got a Bosch now it’s really good. Thanks for sharing this video really interesting

    My Miele washing machine is 10 years old and looks like the day I bought it. It takes a minute to empty the dispenser drawer and dry the seal. These machines are fantastic so sad to see one in this condition.

    Just watching this after I carried out the same repair on our Miele W1716 washer. Bought the machine second-hand but seller warned that the machine didn't get up to full spin speed, so the clothes were soaking and sometimes had soap left in them. Inside the machine was very clean for its age so didn't expect that breather pipe that runs up from the top of the drain pump to be blocked, but checked anyway. Turns out the pipe was very blocked indeed, used a straightened coat hanger and a small wad of kitchen paper to clean all the gunge out, cured the problem instantly. Still can't understand how that blocked pipe upsets the pressure sensor as it looks like the drum could balance its internal pressure through the water fill pipe from the top of the drum that runs direct to the soap drawer (video 5m 55s), but it obviously has some effect.

    Your bottom screws at the front panel, only remove the outer 2, panel takes away like that.

    Mine had this problem it would drain but every time it spun it would just spin the water around the drum and cause suds lock I would have to turn it off and leave it settle then press on again and it would drain and repeat the process until it got fast 😂
    It absolutely baffled me what was wrong as filter and sump hoses were clean so called Miele out as had insurance and they done this said was limescale and softner worked perfectly for about 2 years after till it died but never seen this before bar on these machines.
    And the state of it is an embarrassment 🤢🥴😑 mine still looked new when it went to scrap yard.

    Like all washing Machines very Expensive ££ but not very good...Only 1 or 2 year Guarantee on most machines.
    I think an automatic 3 or 5 years would say a lot about the reliability and quality...but no it's cheap and nasty but never was in the past.😢..Bosch is great Miele is expensive but nothing special as I had one that was £900...but was useless and not worth even £300.😅
