I was raised in Georgia, but went to Florida for 25 years. When I came back it took me a few months to be able to understand some folks, then my accent deepened back to the way it used to be. It is truly a regional thing. You literally have to live right in it. Funny stuff. And, yes, the videos are the real thing except very few have the riches you see in a video. Most of us just have the dented trucks, not the nicer ones. Upchurch's videos are closer to reality for those deeper in the hollers.
You are Precious!! Love your reactions! I am from Ky. Been here most of my 70 years, it is a different world than the northern states. Most of us were raised with Strong Mamas that would wail the crap out of you if you didn't act right or show respect to people. But they always said to raise a kid right you teach them to hunt, fish and work on cars and they won't have enough time or money to get into too much trouble! Love Yall!

10:31 When I was 15, I rode all the way back from Colorado to Oklahoma (about 900 miles) in the overhanging portion of a gooseneck horse trailer. We just finished an elk hunt, and I was riding back there with a bunch of camping gear, a huge 6x7 bull elk head from the elk I got, and a bunch of mules. It was at night too. It didn't feel like I slept, but the trip went by so fast, I guess I did. That was 15 years ago, last week.. I turned 31 today. 😕
Ya can't forget us folks down here in Alabama Gitana. There's a lot of beautiful places across this country but I love it here in the Southeastern part of the country.

Trucks around the South have 3 lives. We buy them new and drive them for 15 years. At that point we turn them into work trucks and drive them until they finally stop. 10 years later someone buys the old broke down scrap heap and brings it back to life as a rat rod.
