You MUST be seriously careful who you're dealing with. DON'T get caught up being scammed, because this World is Dangerous.
When drinking and partying with Filipinos, remember that it's very common for everyone to drink from the same glass. If they pour you a separate glass, may want to be on your toes.

@@CriticallyEverything yep, same glass. Remember that a lot of Filipinos are poor and so have very few dishes and so very common to just share a cup or 2 that they fill with tuba (coconut wine) and pass it around.
That happened to a South African tourist friend of my brother. He met some guys at a club in Back up who invited him to a card game. In the beginning he felt like he was winning so the guys encourage him to bet larger amounts and he started to lose. When he wanted to leave they wouldn't let him leave until they cleaned him out. He was at a secluded place and he was afraid they would kill him so he let them empty to his wallet to show he didn't have anymore money. One of the guys told him to bring more money the next day. He left his hotel the next morning since they knew where he was staying.

Years ago while vacationing in a Spanish speaking country in the Caribbean I met a woman in the club. She wanted to cook for me a meal that I like eat. Few days later we went to the grocery store and got some 🐟🐟 and other items. She got on the back of one motor bike taxi and I got on the back the other. Got to her house, met the mom, grandmother and children. Couldn't even begin to tell anyone how to get to her house😆. This was before cell phones had GPS and internet 😂. While the meal was being cooked by her and her mother, I was in the front room playing dominoes with the grandmother and children. I understand exactly what you are saying. But life rewards RISK TAKERS. Live to tell the story.😆😂

Yes, true. Many folks will compliment on Filipinos friendliness & smiles but forget that behind 'some' smiles is not for the better. Avoid Barkada's (Associated most commonly with drinking buddies/get togethers) unless you know them.

It is very easy to want to help and the next thing you know ₱60,000 is gone (that's about $300). Happened so easy to be so trusting of someone you think you know. When you're on "fixed" income as I am, $300 is a big loss. I know from experience.

When buying, Always ask for a receipt if they offer them. They might say you didn't pay and if you don't, things that you don't want to happen will happen. Don't throw the receipts until you have left or if you can still use it.

Hello yes I have been scam twice I did not learn from my first scam I built a 200,000 American dollar house in salhag Rosario northern samar. Close to cartarman. Build the house on parents land got run off. I advise do not trust parents. Din family in salhag Rosario they move into house lost sub also and new furniture

Korea is the safest place don't get me wrong Philippines is nice and the people are really nice. here in korea u could leave your phone and money at the bar stool in a bar to go yo the bathroom and come back it will still be there.

I have seen thisvguy traveling with a real gorgeous girl. I knew of her and what she was. The guy looked like he was in heaven. I was going to approach him when she said something to him and they both left. I wish i could have warned him. All i know he was going to get robbed at some point during the trip.

I'm heading out to Cartagena Colombia on Tuesday and begin a year journey, Caribe and the Philippines likely next, this is good advice, useful world wide specially in South America... keep in mind that America businesses don't want people leaving the country for vacation, most country are labeled dangerous, I think some people don't know how to blend in and themselves target... the world has changed within the last 2 yrs...big shout from Guy Lombardo South Queens NY.

I was in guam and a local got mad when I told them I dont drink so I learn that I will have one drink then tell them na I dont need more.
but the drinking scam I understand it well and if someone says come back to my place unless I'm there with other friends who are local who can vouch and I dont have alot of my items on me I dont do that stuff. and if I feel extra adventurous. many hotels I've been to u can leave ur hotel key at the front desk and. head out (most hotels have a master key so I'm not that stupid) and have 500-1k php so if I do get robbed Iose almost nothing.
